Hi mrsgjr! Hope that you had a good time last night - well done on planning ahead! Thank you for posting that dessert on my journal :) unfortunately we don't get the same things here as you have in the U.S. and sf vanilla pudding and cool whip comes into that category! But it sounded very yummy :) xx

Thanks to all for the well wishes at the birthday party as I truly needed it  :!: Knowing I was going to be drinking, I didn't think the yogurt would do my belly very well. I'd eaten the pita pocket pretty early in the evening and we headed out to the party around 8:00pm ish. My body needs something for alcohol to sit on so cousin had food: d2-grilled chicken leg & pasta salad w/ tomato, onion, black olives (1 c), hawaiian roll (1sm). I had quite a few vodka tonics w/ lime but drank plenty of water along throughout the night so felt like I was hydrated and did some dancing so got in some exercise doing that 8) So even though I seemed to have eaten a LOT yesterday, I felt it was not in vain and was able to remain SB friendly while enjoying myself :)

8/29/09
b-nf raspberry yogurt, kashi ripe strawberry cereal bar & cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (3)
l-deli honey turkey lunchmeat, mayo, mustard on wheat bread
s-sunflower kernals (1/4 c)
d-tbd

I'm babysitting for a co-worker tonight and will be doing so at a hotel so why I'm not sure on dinner. We'll be ordering room service but will take some healthy snacks for myself as sitting for a 1 & 4yr old who will be just fine with chips and cookies...but not for me! Not the old MrsGJr that used to just go for those type of foods  It's the new me and i'm screaming it loud and proud!!

Gramma, i'm not sure if Au Bon Pain is national but I have to say that brisket was good to have been coming from a fast food place. They put WAY more rice in the bowl than I liked but only at a small amount with the meat I had and still had a spoonful or 2 leftover! DH smothered the chicken the night before so I took the skin off, cut it off the bone and put it in with the veggies & cheese, OMG AND it's healthy for you!! Proud of you on that portion control; keep up the good work so we can enjoy it more often

Chessie, that sucks that you don't have that in the U.K. :o If I could, I'd ship it to you myself so you and Mum could enjoy it :(

Hi ssaritha! Thanks for the comments and for stopping by. I'll check in to your journal to get to know you more. Take care

I'm not as young as I used to be so I have to take a nap before going to sit so I bid thee farewell for the evening. Wishing you all keep your eye on the prize, whatever it may be, and know you are worth it  Peace & Blessings

8/29/09 (EDITED)
b-nf raspberry yogurt, kashi ripe strawberry cereal bar & cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (3)
l-deli honey turkey lunchmeat, mayo, mustard, cheese on wheat bread & 1 c red grapes
d-grilled chicken quesadilla (1 of 4 slices), guacamole (2 TBSP), garlic mashed potatoes (1 TBSP), 1 small chocolate truffle & 2 glasses of wine
s-sunflower kernals (1/4 c)
Exercise: None

8/30/09
b-totally slept through that!
s-pb ricotta (2 TBSP) w/ green granny smith apple
l-nf key lime yogurt topped w/ kashi pb granola bar
s-ritz 100 calorie pack, sunflower seeds (1/4 c)
d-chuck roast cooked in the crock pot & pinto beans
s-red grapes or sf vanilla pudding w/ lite cool whip
Exercise: No rest, 4 sets of oblique rotation and stretch

With all the drinking that has gone on over the weekend, it is my hope to not have gained but don't expect a loss either. But I'm alright with that! This mornings exercise was a bit hard but got through it without becoming discouraged. Since weigh in are on Monday's, it is my plan to make sure I start the week of with a workout. Didn't get up until around 11:00am but got up and went straight into my workout. I'm dedicated to this new WOL/WOE so will simply get back on the horse and move it, move it, move it 8)

Feeling VERY tired today so will make this a short post. Will do my best to visit journals tomorrow to show some love

I know what you mean with the drinking. Even if I just have one drink, I soo dread the scale the next day. Last week I was just getting on semi phase 1, so there were two nights of drinks, but this week is Phase 1 no more drinking for the next two weeks. Hope you have a great week.

Thanks ssaritha! I don't drink that much but sometimes find it a "little" more soothing than the food. So the vodka tonic w/ lime makes me feel less guilty since there are no calories (even though we don't truly count those on the beach)! I'm gonna get over to your journal to check you out  8)

Even though I had a few drinks I seemed to have lost another 1.8lbs this week :!: :!: :D This means that I am a total of 19.6lbs down and 3.8lbs away from my (now) mini goal. I haven't decided exactly what my goal weight is...I just know I want to be healthy. Typing that made me think about what that really means to me. Maybe 140lb is my goal weight and I just need to maintain what I've been doing or do I truly need to lose more weight to obtain the stomach I desire??? The goal isn't to be skinny but healthy and have more energy but I also want to work on my stomach in the process. Don't feel like my body is structured to have a "flat" tummy anymore but feel that it could go down just a teeny tiny bit. UGHH..I just made things a bit hard for myself..HELP!!!! Focus Wanda, focus :?

8/31/09
b-nf strawberry yogurt, cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-elephant & castle chicken tortilla soup & ceasar salad w/o croutons
s-sunflower seed kernals (1/4 cup)
d-pinto beans w/ sm pc smoked meat topped with 2 tsp rf monteray jack cheese
s-sf vanilla pudding w/ lite cool whip
Exercise: walked 1mi

9/1/09 (Planned :| )
b-kashi ripe strawberry cereal bar, cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
s-red grapes, 1 c
l-deli honey turkey lunchmeat, mayo, mustard, ff cheese on wheat bread & sweet potato tortilla chips
d-pinto beans w/ sm pc smoked meat topped with 2 tsp rf monteray jack cheese (I could eat these all week if the pot was that full!)

I'm feeling good about the exercise I'm getting in. Even on the days I don't do an actual workout, seems like I'm walking so still a form of exercise/movement. I'd walked 2mi on Friday, 8/28/09 before the party so maybe that helped with the drop in lbs. Still don't love it, some days Really hate it but know the purpose & importance of it so trying to stay focused on the bigger picture!

Well need to talk to baby to see how school is going before the phone becomes attached to the ear until her bedtime  Wishing you all the most marvelous Monday evening and a terrific Tuesday morning

HI Wanda, Congrats on the 1.8 loss!!!! That must be motivating to keep pushing for the last pounds. Is 147 your mini goal? I didn't see you update your stats, so wondering. Your stats are definitely motivating and wants me stay focused. I will be 30 in Jan, and I want to be healthy by then. So I will be here and post everyday, that way I do not drift off from my goal. Good luck to you!!!

Hey mrsgjr! Well done on the loss! I'm afraid I had a bad evening on the weekend myself (plus wine of course!) so you are inspiring me and making me hope that maybe it won't be all bad on the scales Friday! lol

Hi ssaritha! I try to update my stats monthly however document the progress/digress here in my little journal. It's not too long so if you go back a few pages you'll see where I was and when :-)

Hey Chessie Girl! We cannot be afraid to enjoy ourselves while staying on the beach, right?! So what i've resorted to (my form of discipline) is drinking only on the weekend and if I have one during the week, then I don't drink on the weekend. Trying to keep the balance while enjoying a day. I've assigned Saturday to my cheat day and "may" have a cocktail on Friday but nothing Sunday normally due to Monday weigh in

9/1/09 (Actual)
b-nf strawberry yogurt, cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-deli honey turkey lunchmeat, mayo, mustard on wheat bread & sweet potato chips (didn't care for these as they had no salt but going to pop them in the oven w/ EVOO & kosher salt)
s-dark chocolate pistols (7)
d-kashi spiced apple cereal bar topped w/ ICBINB & lite cool whip (2 TBSP)

9/2/09
b-kashi pb granola bar
l-deli honey turkey lunchmeat on ww english muffin, 1/2 c pinto beans topped with 1 TBSP of rf monteray jack cheese
s-100 calorie ritz snack mix pack
d-ground beef & italian sausage chili w/ celery, corn and a few crackers

Gramma mentioned portion control and I don't always measure what I eat, just eat until I'm full as opposed to when my plate is clean. If I know the measurements I post but don't always do this. Hope I'm not overdoing anything but that is one of the things I loved about SB...not having to count or do "true" measurements. We'll see I guess.

I've been having a female problem this week and it has hindered my work out plans making it very uncomfortable. Thought I'd be alright by today but just not the case. Hoping to feel just a little better tomorrow so I can get at least 3 days; haven't done anything since Sunday :( Will do the oblique rotation and stretch, possibly some sit ups but nothing with major movement like jumping jacks.

My s-i-l is still at the home and finding out the situation may be worse than we thought. I'll ask for prayers and good thoughts on that situation. This week has been an emotional and physically challenging week but know that He won't put anything on my that I can't handle. He is testing my faith and I'm going to show Him that I do believe in Him and His word because I am His child and He would never forsake me.

Heading over to journals now as I've been such a bad friend  Peace & Blessings

Last night I ate 3 servings of crackers instead of a few and s-sf vanilla pudding without lite cool whip...how bout that

9/3/09
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-taco salad w/ chili, cheese (1 TBSP), sweet potato tortilla chips (1 serving=18 chips and ate less than that), 3 kiwi slices, 2 apples slices and a strawberry
d-kashi ripe strawberry cereal bar topped w/ 1/2 tsp ICBINB

I haven't been working out this week but know all will be well soon. Funny thing is that I think my body misses it and my appetite is reflecting how I feel as the energy level is way low :( :? Tomorrow is the last early Friday of the summer and won't be walking to the train tomorrow but REALLY looking forward to the weekend, let me tell ya. BTW, you may recall how much I LOVED brats one week. I'm taking the advice you gave me and purchased turkey brats to throw on the grill this holiday weekend! Love it will grilled onions so will cut those up, put em' in some foil w/ tsp minced garlic, s/p; good stuff right there :)

Will be a short post tonight as I just don't have it in me and still haven't eaten what I typed for dinner and it's 9:00pm CST  I try not to eat heavy after 8:pm CST and if having a snack, has to be by 8:30 so I don't lay down on it. Tonight now so much...

HI Wanda,
How are you?? Looks like things are coming along well. Where do you buy sweet potato tortilla chips? I have never tried, sounds like a yummy alternative, even better if it is baked. Sorry that just caught my attention and had to ask! Have a great weekend! :)

YB, you're stuck with me! And you help encourage me so I feel obligated to help my SB sisters out so not a problem at all  Will let you know how the brats go...may be the only item on my menu for 2-3days, lol.

Ssaritha, i'm feeling a little better today and thank you for asking! I purchase the sweet potato tortilla chips from a restaurant called Au Bon Pain and the brand is FoodShouldTasteGood: http://www.foodshouldtastegood.com/#/intro/. The sweet potato chips brand is Terra but didn't really care for those :|

Last night I added a sf vanilla pudding with the kashi cereal bar & 7 dark chocolate pistols. I'm not sure about my menu today but you may notice that on Friday I start the day with a Starbucks Grande Skinny Iced Hazelnut Latte w/ 2 equals. This is my treat for the week and can't wait for it sometimes! Was my true addiction at one point and went there, literally, every morning before i'd even get to my office (it's in the building). So instead of having it every day, I have it on Friday and wow does that save $$ 8) What I'd done, however, to afford it was forfeit purchasing lunch...this said just to give you an idea of how much I HAD to have it every morning, lol...sad but true.

9/4/09
b-ww english muffin w/ natural pb, starbucks grande skinny iced hazelnut latte w/ 2 equals
s-nf strawberry yogurt
l-bk jr whopper, very few fries, 2 glasses of wine
s-sunflower seeds, dark chocolate pistols (7)
d-ground beef & italian sausage chili w/ celery, corn & sweet potato tortilla chips

It is my plan to try to relax a little this weekend, go visting and just enjoy myself instead of worrying about each and everything going on in my life. Things WILL get better and I WILL prevail according to His will. Wishing all a SB friendly weekend if I'm unable to get here over the weekend. Have a Happy, Safe, SB friendly holiday weekend
