Today was a good day. Saw to of my male friends when I went to pick up lunch and they were both surprised and very complimentary of the way I looked.  Then the girlfriend (another friend of mine) of one of them called me and said that he had come home and told her how good I looked and that he wanted to get on SB.

Then I went for my post op appointment with my regular cardiologist and she was so excited about the weight loss that she hugged me and was all smiles. Told me it was nice to see patients that actually get better instead of worse and that she really needed that today.  Nice to go in and NOT get a lecture about what I SHOULD be doing. 8)

Man, I have really been slacking on the journaling front....

Friday
Weight: 270, Steps: 10405
Food was beachy

Saturday
Weight: 268, Steps: 3076
Food was beachy, although probably not enough. Skipped lunch.

Sunday
Weight: 268

S: 1% milk
Brunch: chicken taco salad, ice tea
S: banana, almonds, water
S: small popcorn/no butter, diet coke (at the movies)
D: grilled tilapia topped with shrimp/tomato/basil/garlic in olive oil, broccoli, salad/ranch, water
S: 1% milk (I think....may have been no snack)

Steps: 4512

I am going to try to do 10000 steps Mon-Fri for now and take the weekends off. I am usually wiped out and I know I need a rest day. Probably not two. But 10000 steps 5 days a week is a heck of an improvement from what I did before SB. Once I can do my yoga I will try to do that at least 3 times a week including Saturdays so I will have some form of excercise 6 days a week.

Tuesday....

Weight: 270

B: oatmeal, turkey bacon, ls V8, 1% milk, coffee
L: lean steak, black beans, salad/ranch, ice tea
S: apple with natural pb
S: nectarine, string cheese
D: turkey/swiss on sour dough sandwich, salad/blue cheese, water
S: 1% milk

Steps: 11571

I was a little short of breath today. I figure it is because I am retaining some water due to hormones as I should be ovulating anytime now. It is amazing how a little bit of water really screws with my heart.

Thanks, LiliK! That is really sweet of you to say.

Joesuzzi, no need to worry. I am still around. Haven't been posting much because I have been plateaued for 3 (count them, THREE) weeks. So I haven't had anything to report. :( This is the longest I have gone without losing weight since starting SB. I am trying not to get discouraged. It is like my body said "50 pounds? ok, that's it."

You just hang in there Brandy............just stay beachy ....and try to mix it up a bit!

Our bodies don't want to let go of the fat............so yours is rebelling right now (I have been there...and done that !) Not a fun time....but eventually that scale will start moving down again...........it has no other option !
We are ALL going to make it to the finish line........leaving NO ONE behind !

Hahahaha! I love this!

I am hanging in there. I will plan on getting my yoga sessions back up to what it they were BEFORE surgery. I think my body is just pitching a hissy fit because of all of the changes lately. Weight loss, excercise, and mostly SURGERY. I will NOT give up.

After a 42 day plateau.....I finally lost 2 pounds this weekend. Good grief. That was really challenging mentally to NOT give up with that much time passing without the scale moving. BUT I just kept thinking about Wiley's signature. I kept on keeping on. 52 pounds down....a gazillion to go!

YOU GO GIRLIE!!! You have it right....Keep on keeping on! Wow...you are amazing, keeping your positive attitude with all that's went on with your health lately, not to mention a 42 day plateau. That could cause even the most devout SB devotee to detour but NOT YOU! You're becoming the poster child for SB as Mrsg would say  And hey! you're not alone...I have a gazillion lbs to go too but that's ok....we know the secret, the recipe and the way to get it off. One wise choice at a time, right! Hugs and a huge high five to ya! Congrats all the way 'round. Gramma

Yesterday I hit the 100 pounds lost mark. It took me 13 months and 18 days. I celebrated by going to the carnival and riding rides! Haven't done that in 11 years. Now for the next 80 pounds......
