I have had a really bad year health wise and have gained some unneeded weight and now have high cholesterol. I don't have any choice but to get on the weight loss wagon and I really don't want to live in this over weight body anymore. I am looking for other for daily support, motivation and encouragement and recipes. If you're ready to start losing, I'd love to meet you.

I'm pretty nervous about this whole thing as I have never done anything like this before, but I am determined to get the weight off this time, and would love to have some buddies to share my journey with.
I am planning on starting Monday, August 24th, and will do my best to help be an encouragement to you.

I am also starting Monday August 24. I am looking forward to having some energy. I have a terrible diet now and need to lose 30 lbs. I look forward to chatting with you and hopefully we can lend each other some support :D

Hi, i would love to join your support group. I would have started on monday 24th but decided that i should get going straight away - so i began my journey on thursday. so far it is going great and i think you will feel the same way. it is sensible and you do not feel deprived (therefore rebellious!) I have heaps to lose, over the last four years i have gained about 65 lbs, for various emotional and physical (having two wonderful children on the upside!) reasons. good luck, happy shopping and preparing this weekend! I am off to buy more salad stuff right now. I am loving having a salad for brekkie for the time being;-) - did not want to get sick of eggs too quickly and thought they would be eaiser for my snacks. I live in a country where we cannot buy a lot of the ingredients/producsts/ready made meals and these things called cheese strings, i don't even know what they are!!! so i have to do most things from absolute scratch.

Hi, I am also starting on the 24th and very much am in need of support! I lost 60 lbs on sb but in the past year have gained back about 20 or so lbs. I have tried several times on my own but have not been successful my dh loves to eat. It will be nice to start this journey with others and not alone! I look forward to supporting each other.

Count me in. I am 'restarting'. I've done the SBD before and had great success, but let the sugar monster get the better of me. So I'm back to get myself together again. I have about 20-25 lbs. to lose....

I would love to join. The weight kept slowly creeping up and I about freaked when I weighed myself. It is the most I have ever weighed (some people think it isn't that much but to me it is). I am afraid that I would keep gaining. I reread the book and am ready to start again! I need to lose 20 lbs. I need the support!

Great I am excited to have all of you to share this with and to lean on and provide support. I plan to grocery shop tomorrow and plan Monday's' meals. Monday will be the dreaded scale day. But I've also committed to making it the last day I weight that much in my life.

I plan to posting my weight and goal foods for the next day and then following up with what i actually weight. I tend to weigh pretty often, it helps me stay on track. Do as little or as much as you like.

I love to have some breakfast recipes. I don't like eggs!

We could also do a group total if you all think that would be encouaging. Reach for the starts, the more creative and fun this we make it, the less we'll think about what we could be eating.

Perhaps we should call ourselves The End of Summer Beginners.... :P

HI all! I would also love to join you starting on Monday the 24th. I have done SB before, but need to get back on the program after a really bad summer! Please count me in for moral support...I plan on shopping tomorrow and kicking it off right on Monday morning.

Count me in too Wendy =) I also have had a bad year health wise- my back injury has gotten to the best of me and in July I was in the hospital so I have sooo much weight to lose- this is all new to me I just joined this site today. Good luck to all of you :)

I would like to join as well!! Over the past year I've gained 20 unwanted and unnecessary pounds. I had a bit of a scare this weekend because I am starting to have higher blood pressure and as a result I've been having bad headaches and a touch of nausea... My husband and I are also planning to start trying for a baby in January, so I'd like to get as much weight as possible off. It's good to know there's support groups like these out here. :P

Hello Everyone that is starting on the 24!!!!. I need to loose 60-65 pounds. I have gained all these pounds in the last 9 years. I have 2 kids (3 1/2 and 11 months ). I've also been having terrible back pain and i thinks is because of my weight. Now that i am a stay at home mom i think i dont have any more excuses to make. I also look foward on teaching my kids healthy eating habbits. I am Mexican and my husband is italian...so i guess is bad combination - food wise! LOL . I love sugar!!!! But he is my worst enemy! Let see where this journey takes us..... Good Luck to everyone :D !

You don't necessarily have to eat breakfast foods for breakfast. I've eaten grilled chicken with some lf cheese melted on it or leftover chicken chili - you could also have cottage cheese with some splenda and cinnamon - doesn't taste too bad. I used to plan out my meals a day or so ahead so I was always prepared and had less of a chance to eat on the run. Personally, in P1 I usually had eggbeaters with some lf cheese or turkey bacon for breakfast with a glass of low sodium V-8 (aside from salads, I'm not much of a veggie eater).

What I'll probably be doing is posting my plan for the day - something else that helps me keep on track.

So, does everyone have their groceries in and their plan for tomorrow? I think we should come up with a name for the group - I had suggested End of Summer Beginners, but Wendy - maybe you want to come up with something. It just might be easier to find the posts if we keep it under one heading.

Wendy, what do you mean by group totals? An end of the week weigh in or something? I'm up for anything that keeps me interested and excited about doing this.... :wink:
