Yesterday's menu was followed with the exception of the snack; I ate Wheat Thins (Ranch) when I got home. Had to work late yesterday and just needed a pick me up so ate those. I will be going to purchase the Triscuit Thins this weekend but needed a "cracker" so ate this in place of the yogurt.

Today:
b-nf peach yogurt, cup of coffee, non-dairy creamer, equal (3)
l-burrito bowl from Chipotle (no rice), pinto beans, chicken, pico, little cheese and guacamole
d-meatloaf w/ tomato sauce w/ steamed fresh green beans
s-nabisco choco crackers (100 calorie pack)

Thought I'd take a break on the pudding. It very well may be on the menu for tonight but thought I'd at least type something different

Did the No Rest Exercise this morning again and it wasn't as bad as I thought so threw in a few reps with the weights. Trying to stay consistent with this long term.

Hope you have a Beachy Day!

Yesterday's menu was followed with the exception: had a bag of popcorn (1/2oz), only meatloaf for dinner and peanuts as a snack.

Today:
b-grande skinny iced hazelnut latte, equal (2)
l-burrito bowl from Chipotle (no rice), pinto beans, chicken, pico, little cheese, lettuce & guacamole (the lettuce has always been in there just forgot to type that)
d-meatloaf w/ tomato sauce & steamed fresh green beans
s-sf vanilla pudding, lite cool whip & possibly peanuts

I will ride my bike this evening 11.2miles for exercise. Tomorrow is my Aunt's 60th birthday so will probably have a glass or 2 of wine but won't eat crazy. I'll make sure I eat healthy all day and make sure I have a snack or will have eaten dinner by the time I get there so the temptation is low. The planned menu for tomorrow is:

b-2 eggs w/ an english muffin topped w/ ICBNB
l-salad with cheese, red onion, chicken breast lunchmeat & italian dressing
s-sf jello
d-meatloaf w/ tomato sauce w/ steamed fresh green beans
s-2 glasses of wine :-)

Since i'm not real big on sweets, that will not be a problem at all for me. Can't wait for my wine though...ummm Merlot

Wow, it's been a crazy few days. Ok, Thursday I ate what I listed below but didn't do any exercise that day.

Yesterday 7.10.09
b-cup of hazelnut coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (3)
l-4 rib bones
d-chicken salad, a few crackers, grapes and 2 glasses of wine

Today
b-nothing
l-SB peanut protein cereal bar

This evening will be a challenge as our family reunion is today. Will do my best to eat the right things but also feel like I've been doing well this week with meals and won't beat myself for having a treat. Aunt's birthday party went well (see my menu above) and enjoyed the family especially my great uncles :D Stay tuned...gotta run...AGAIN!!

Even though the weekend was SUPER busy with events, I am so happy to have attended these events and more so that it's over! I didn't do any exercise over the past few days with all the running and sure I'll pay for it in the end. The reunion went well and without drama and there was very tempting foods and I did but only a little (I hope):

d-brat (1, you know I love these), 2 rib bones, tbsp spaghetti, tbsp sausage pasta & 2 sodas.
s-1/2 pulled pork sandwich on yeast roll, chicken salad w/ a few crackers, 1 shot & 2 mixed drinks

This is a lot of food when I look at it typed out and probably the result of me not eating breakfast and only the protein bar for lunch. I was driving a lot yesterday and just couldn't make time to "sit down" to eat. Dinner was eaten in a 4hr span, not in one sitting and the snack was way past business hours but needed something to coat the belly with the consumption of alcohol throughout the evening/morning. Back on track today though!

Got up this morning and added another rep to the No Rest exercise along with incorporating my 10 sets of 50 jumping rope! I had the following on the menu:

b-cup of coffee w/ non-dairy creamer, equal (4, it was a big cup today :-)
l-1/2 pulled pork sandwich on yeast roll, salad w/ mixed greens, red onion, cheese & italian dressing
d-TBD

3rd Great Nephew was born Thursday, 7.9.09 so just came from the hospital. Going to rest, see what I want for dinner and let ya know how that goes...weight in is tomorrow

Wishing you all a Beach Day!

I lost a lb.!!! This is so very exciting for me and what a way to start the week :D. The weekend was crazy so my eating schedule was slightly thrown off. When I did eat lunch yesterday it was around 4:30pm CST so it ended up being dinner. For a night cap, I had sf vanilla pudding, lite cool whip topped w/ peanuts.

Documenting meals, in my opinion, is an awesome way of gaging yourself in terms of loss. I didn't drop any lbs last week but looked at my menu, made adjustments and now I'm down this week! While I know it won't happen every week, I'm just happy that it did happen and I can see results. For some reason my belly feels bigger, and i've been exercising, so may need to make more adjustments. If I can maintain this, I think I can begin to manage my weight along with the exercising.

I've been thinking about posting before and after pics but just seems so overwhelming to me to see myself. Looking back on my anniversary this past May (which is why I started SBD again) I was horrified & embarrassed by my body. This weekend, I felt Sexy in my dress and I haven't felt that way in a long time 8)! And made me think of why I loved this program in the first place.

I'm wishing you all a happy Beachy Day!!

Yesterday was a very busy and long work day. Got in the office at 6am CST and didn't leave from here until 7pm CST. We have a new hire and other projects going on and just sucked the life out of me:

07/13/09
b-toasted english muffin w/ ICBNB & cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (3)
l-small square of pizza, salad w/ onion, tomato, cucumber, tbsp spinich dip, crackers (3)
d-1 1/2 mini prime rib sandwiches on onion roll, few fries & onion rings, glass of wine (2)

07/14/09
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (3)
l-3 chicken tacos (crispy), pico, little cheese, guacamole & lettuce
d-TBD

It is my full intent to workout when I get home but I am so very tired from the weekend. This week at work is going to be a little busy too until Thursday. I will, however, get it in because there are lots of meals going on this week but plan on taming myself well! Today is a beautiful day so need to get back on the horse or my body will pay for it later, i'm sure

First I just realized I'd been saying that my 3rd great nephew was born when he really is the 4th born. I married into 15 neices and nephews w/ now 4 great nephews (I was SO hoping this one was a girl, lol).

Dinner last night was chuck roast & green beans but didn't have a snack afterwards. I did go home and worked out...had no energy but got through the entire thing! I've been told not to look at the workout as punishment but since I ate the actual taco shells yesterday, felt that I needed to burn some of those calories off. Tonight I may get a mini-workout in just with the jump rope for movement but not sure if I can do too much more the way I feel. DH came down with a cold over the weekend and think he's now passed it on to me as my throat has been sore since yesterday evening :(.

Today:
b-nf peach yogurt & a cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-hackney's in chicago but haven't decided on what I will eat. i do know the onion loaf will be indulged in :-) thinking about the roasted turkey breast melt or the mexican chicken melt; both are on sour dough bread
d-progresso chicken & homestyle noodles soup (no crackers)

I left you a note on Accountability Anyone thread, talking about bread and flavored water, wanted to let you know. WOW...all those neices and nephews! Do they live close and do you see them often? Must be tons of fun when a bunch of you get together.
Good for you, getting thru your exercises when you were already tired. I've been doing the interval pedalling the last days, kind of like the new SB Supercharged book details. Of course, my fast and furious interval is a pretty short one but that's ok. For now, that's all I can do. I do notice I can pedal farther almost each day though so that's progress.
Better skedaddle outta here for tonight. After midnight here already. Have a terrific Thursday. See ya soon! Hugs

Gramma, I responded to the message on there but didn't see anything about the flavor water so will look after I type this out. Thanks for all you do on here as you've inspired me to make sure I log on each day and get words of encouragement! And what are you doing up after midnight??!! I was in bed last night at 9:00pm.

Yellobeuty, you have a great day too and thanks for stopping by

So yesterday at Hackney's I had half of a burger on a ww bun (they're known for their burgers and it was so good!). Did indulge in the onion ring loaf and a few fries but felt that I didn't over do it. Had soup for dinner as stated though but did no exercise at all.

I've been up today since 3am CST as I woke with a headache and coughing :(. Not feeling very well so didn't get up and workout this morning but will make every attempt to when I get home this evening...it's not looking too good though right at this moment!!

Today:
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-taco salad, beef, cheese & homemade guacamole
d-nf strawberry yogurt

I don't have an appetite today so keeping it light but trying to eat something!

Gramma, can I just say you're the bestest! I logged on earlier today and my goal is to read through your journal before I comment; didn't even look at my own journal til now. On the 3rd page but you are so inspirational it's not even funny and what a loving woman (talking about your love for DJ :-) As soon as I'm done reading, i'm going to post a comment so I know all about my Gramma

While my throat is feeling better this morning, I still have the cough and not getting ANY sleep at all! Friday during the summer is early for us so leaving an hour earlier than usual to take my niece to the Dr's office and then going to do some major resting afterwards.

Yesterday, 7/16/09 menu went something like this (being accountable):
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-nf strawberry yogurt
s-homemade guacamole, a few townhouse crackers & a handful of doritos
d-SB peanut butter protein cereal bar
s-sf vanilla pudding w/ lite cool whip

I think my belly is paying for it this morning though  So here is the plan for today:
b-purchased a skinny grande iced hazelnut latte but drank less than half
l-taco salad, beef, cheese & homemade guacamole
s-peanuts
d-nf strawberry yogurt

Haven't worked out since Tuesday. I'm not one to "need" to hear that I am loved and beautiful because I validate myself but is always a pleasure when you hear it from your significant other . He called me after I left and arrived at work to tell me when he hugged me, he could tell I'd lost some inches (YAY!). This man tells me every day (I am NOT exaggerating when I say this either) how beautiful I am to him and how much he loves me but he wanted it to mean something to me so waited. One of the reasons why I've been with him for 15yrs & married 11yrs :D! Some may feel like if you are told so much, how could you let yourself get heavy??!! Again, I validate myself but was in the wrong WOL so couldn't see past that. So before you ask, there it is.

This weekend isn't as fun filled as the last but have a few things to do to get ready for the wedding next week. I weigh in on Monday so wish me luck on some dropped lbs. Was shooting to drop another 2 but will take anything...even if it's ounces. It is my goal to get a workout in either today or tomorrow so I'll have at least 3 days in but have been sticking to the 3-4 day plan so that is progress. Sharing a laptop with a teenager can be challenging but will make every effort to log on this weekend to provide updates. FYI, I will be trying the ricotta and pb recipe for sure!

Wishing all a successful Beachy day and take care of yourselves :!:

Happy Monday Beachers! It is my hope that everyone had a spectacular, SB friendly, weekend!!

Friday was basically a wash with resting but got some sleep after a little running. My little cousin came over for the weekend and spent some time with my older cousin (her mom) on Friday night. Saturday we had to visit several venues for my daughter; we're planning her Sweet 16 party for December. Still haven't pinned a location down but now had a possibility and will make a decision first week of August. The evening was a party at a friend's house and I enjoyed myself getting out of the house with DH. There were very tempting foods there and did indulge in a sin but still managed to drop 1lb 4oz this morning when I weighed in! I'm being accountable for my down falls but document everything I eat so I feel like I stay the course. Yesterday was church and the just chillaxed at home...ended up, however, cooking until 10:00pm

So a co-worker has formed a group called "From Flab to Fab" on Facebook. It was built on a "Team" thought as sometimes it's just easier when you have partners gearing towards the same goal as well as support. The contestants are from all over so not designated to one city/st and that I think is cool. It began today and will end on 9.20.09. I'm hoping that in addition to this forum, it will provide me with additional motivation to reach goal and then maintain this healthy WOL. They are making us provide before and after pictures...I hate this part right here :( Wish me luck!

While I logged on momentarily this weekend, I was unable to post anything:

Saturday, 7.18.09
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-chicken breast lunchmeat sandwich on ww bread, mustard and ff cheese
d-grilled chicken wings, potato patty, guacamole & 5 chips, 1/2 meatball, couscous w/ tomato, black olives and green pepper, 4 shots of tequila & 1/2 mixed drink

Sunday, 7.19.09
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
s-peanuts
l-ww english muffin, egg, ff cheese w/ turkey breast lunchmeat & sf vanilla pudding, lite cool whip
s-popcorn & crystal light fruit punch
d-nada

Today:
b-1/2 ww english muffin w/ natural pb, cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4)
l-mixed green salad w/ italian dressing
d-chicken & sausage jambalaya

I noticed that some people post their entire weeks menu as they say it's easier. With my family, it is very difficult for me to plan dinner for the week but doesn't make me go out and get something horrible. Luckily for me, I have a very supportive family and while they don't Beach with me, they eat a very close version. A meal consists of a protein, veggie and then I'll fix them a starch but won't eat it. They both have very high metabolisms so they don't know how it is for me but do support and that's all I can ask for.

This week is very busy for me but will be getting in the full 3-4 days of workout during the week. I have a wedding to attend this weekend and need to make sure my body is ready for all the drinking that will be going on, lol. Will also make sure I'm eating right all week to prepare for it.

Wishing you all a successful and Beachy day!

Weigh Ins:
6.15.09 = 162.4
6.29.09 = 153.4
7.6.09 = 153.8
7.13.09 = 151.8
7.20.09 = 150.4

I want to update my signature on a monthly basis but wanted to document the progress and digress. This is important for me to see so will be documenting moving forward. The scale I was using initially wasn't great and actually broke but now I have a newer model "HealthOMeter". It records your BMI and if you enter your desired weight, it keeps a record for you. Also can store 4 different people on the one machine!

So I've been told that I am like a man when it comes to shopping. DH and I went looking for an outfit for the wedding and while I knew the look I wanted, just didn't find that "one" that caught my eye; but saw potentials. Tomorrow I'll go to one other store with my sister to find something. See, I have lost weight but it's still hard to shop when you don't "feel" good about your body. Very, very happy with the small strides I've taken but still not comfortable with my body. I'm sure I’ll find something but just had to vent about the whole shopping thing, which I hate!

My daughter just got her permit and we're teaching her how to drive on the road. OMG how terrifying but I remained supportive and provided constructive feedback instead of attacking! She gets better each time she goes out but what she needs to work on is controlling speed and turning. Please send prayers up for her continuous growth and safety.

Yesterday was followed with the exception of lunch: l-burrito bowl from Chipotle (no rice), pinto beans, chicken, pico, little cheese, lettuce & guacamole. Came home and did my entire workout along with some weight lifting. Felt great afterwards! Even though I had the jambalaya for dinner, I ate a small side salad w/ italian dressing and only 3/4 cup of jambalaya. My thought was that eating the salad before the meal allowed me not to overeat...because man was it good, lol

Today:
b-nf peach yogurt
l-ww english muffin w/ ICBNB and natural pb
d-baked chicken breast marinated in balsamic vinaigrette & roasted zucchini and onions, crystal light fruit punch
s-sf vanilla pudding w/ lite cool whip

No work out today as I had a few errands to run but back to it in the morning since I have shopping after work. I was talking to a few co-workers and they felt as if it is difficult to stick to a plan when you do as much traveling as they do. While I understand that, a commitment is a commitment and if setting your own schedule, you decide what is actually realistic for your life. I'm not a huge workout person but have committed to 3-4x's a week and with the exception of last week, did just that (even got in 2 days last wk sick). For me and my life, this is realistically attainable and don't feel disappointed if I don't do 4. If I can get up in the morning, I do it before work and if not after; point being I do it when my schedule allows. Anyway that's my rant for the day.

Tomorrow's menu (my plan anyway):
b-cup of coffee w/ non dairy creamer, equal (4) & ww english muffin
l-mixed green salad, cheese w/ italian dressing
d-baked chicken breast marinated in balsamic vinaigrette & roasted zucchini and onions, crystal light fruit punch

As always, wishing you all a happy Beach day!!
