Good point Want2be. I think he did! Look at Gustav. He was expected to get upto a cat 5, but he hit at a level 3! Soon after we all started praying for those on the gulf coast the storm started to decrease in intensity, creating safety for those in the Gulf. God is wonderful!

Hi, I would like to ask for everyone's prayer please. My DH's seasonal position is up at the end of the month, and we have a house in Corpus Christi that is unrented and not being sold. We could really use prayer that DH finds another seasonal/permanent position and that the house gets rented/sold. There is no earthly way we can afford 2 house payments on one income.

I'd like to also put in prayer requests for Jheny from here on the board. We've not heard from her since just before Hurricanes Gutstav and Hanna and she lives in Miami. Not sure if that's why she hasn;t been on lately or other reasons - but just pray that God is with her and His hand is upon her.

Thank you Jesus for saving my DH from death by electricity!!!!

DH was unplugging a shorted out chop saw from a build your own extension cord when the electricity arced, shocking him with 120 volts. The electricity traveled up one arm, across his heart and out his other arm. The extension cord had a loose screw, which made the female end jump out of DH hand, saving his life!

Thank you God for protecting DH!

Hi there....I am back on SBD after a year off...am an emotional eater. Just needing prayer for me to daily give my eating habits to God. I really had gained victory through Christ, but have been struggling for past half of the year.

Glad to hear of your decision to return to great health. (And weight loss too )

You have me in your corner. Prayer power is much better than will power. One of my great forum friends has made it a practice to write out prayer requests on index cards that she carries (a small palm note book would work too.)

When she is having an emotional moment and really has the need to nosh - she pulls out her cards and starts to pray for the needs of herself and others. She says it doesn't take long before the desire to eat is replaced with peace and contentment.

Hello, God Bless you for starting this prayer request forum. It doesn't look to me like too many people respond to it though.

Anyway, my request is that my husband's bladder cancer remains in remission and he is encouraged by losing weight with this SB Diet. We just started P1 on 1-5-09 please wish us luck. Not feeling it today though.

He is convinced that it is what he needs I have joined him in this battle who could stand to loose a few right? Well anyway thank you all in advance for your prayers. He goes in for his systocopy on February 2nd I keep you posted as to the results.

Hello to all who care to read the latest -

PLease pray for Sierra and her boys.

They came home Friday night to find Daddy hanging from a rope - dead. The boys saw him first.

The oldest - 6 - cried that he was sorry he did not hurry when it was time to get ready to go home because he waould have told Daddy to stop...


Please put this family on a permanent prayer list for a LONG time....

We believe that ALL things work together for good... but the silver lining of this cloud is very difficult to see - I believe it is the prayer cover that will pull this family through...

Pray often, pray hard, pray fervent heartfelt prayers - for those are the ones that avail much.
