Markys Never Hungry Diet

Postby marky » Wed Oct 01, 2008 1:34 pm

Hi Everyone,

I really hope this helps you and I would be so grateful for some feedback:

I am a 48 year old man.

I stopped smoking 3 years ago and my weight went from 10 stone 4 lbs to 14 stone. I tried various diets and found them impossible because:
I work 12 hours a day
I have no time to prepare meals
Calorie counting is impossible
I need energy to run my business and need to be alert.
Having looked at various diets I took the bits that suited me and the weight fell off. I started 3 months ago and I am now 10 stone 7 lbs. Some of my friends are now following it and seeing similar results.
I never feel hungry, the food takes no time to prepare and I dont have to worry about portion control.
The added benefit is that the fat came off where it needed to (saggy man breasts and belly blubber)
I would really like to share this with everyone.

Breakfast:
One natural yogurt with 2 teaspoons of oats mixed in.

Lunch: Tuna salad. (I normally make a large batch of this which lasts me about 5 days)
Canned tuna in olive oil.
Tomatoes (no seeds)
Cucumber (peeled and de-seeded)
Celery (finely chopped)
Tinned sweetcorn
Broccoli (just the florets cut small)
Onion (preferably red, finely chopped)
Peppers (any type)
Carrot (finely chopped or grated)
Fresh chillies or chillie sauce (i.e. tabasco)
Tinned beans, drained and rinsed (kidney, borlotti, butter, broad, chick pea etc)
Dress with Lemon juice and black pepper. (No salt and no further oil, enough in the tuna)

Use any other RAW veg that you want and quantities of each ingredient is up to your taste.

Dinner:

Any lean meat, fish or poultry. served with the following sauce, which goes equally well with any of them. (again I make this in a large batch which lasts for 5 days)

Red onions
Chopped tomatoes
Garlic, chillie, ginger
Jar tomato "frito"(not puree, use the one that is just sauce of tomato with no seeds)
Mushrooms
Anything else you fancy.

Fry the onions in olive oil until soft.
Add the crushed garlic ginger and chillie.
Add the chopped tomatoes
Add the mushrooms
Add the tomato frito
Season with black pepper.

(again quantities are up to your taste)

When cooking the meat:

Fry in a little olive oil until just browned, add the sauce and simmer for 20 mins.

Serve the meat and sauce with any veg you like either steamed or boiled but dont boil them to death.

NOT: Potato, rice or pasta.

Liquids:

Dont freak out but I take in at least 5 litres a day of the following:

Water
Sparkling water with lime cordial
Chinese tea (no milk, use jasmin, gunpowder or green tea and make it very weak)
Black coffee
NO ALCOHOL AT ALL.

If I do get hungry during the day (very rare) I normally have celery or carrot.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck.

Hi Bunny,

I ran the diet past my doctor (I suffer from high cholesterol so I have to be careful what I eat)

He was the one that told me not to eat the seeds in the tomatoes or cucumbers when raw.

If the toms are cooked then it is fine to have the seeds in.

I think it maybe something to do with digestion.

Hope that helps.

Kind regards

I've heard people say cucumber gives them wind or indigestion, but unless you know it does it for you, it's a bit previous to go avoiding it. After all you could avoid, nuts, fish, celery, mustard, gluten, milk and eggs and every other allergen just in case it didn't do you any good!

Never heard that about tomatoes though, I've always eaten the seeds and well, I'm still here.

Hi,

Just to clarify, he just advised not to eat the raw seeds of the cucumber and the toms. The only other thing I have to avoid is eggs,

Kind regards

seeds of those veggies can aggravate diverticuli or IBS....as can cauliflower, dried beans, broccoli, peppers of any kind, apples, pears, popcorn, nuts - the list goes on....each person has to evaluate the affect of any particular food on their system....

Request TV

Postby marky » Thu Oct 02, 2008 9:49 pm

Hi.

I have been asked to provide 50 people willing to try the diet for one week. You must stick religiously to it and keep a comprehensive food diary and daily weigh in. The request is from a TV company in the UK who are interested in putting a variety of diets to the test in a documentary covering 10 people over 10 weeks on 10 diffrent diets. They require 50 people initially to try this diet, they have approached other companies and individuals for their soecific diets. Depending on the results of the 50 they will decide if it is to be included in the programme and which people are also to appear.

If you are interested please PM me.

Kind regards

Excuse me for being skeptical, but you join, tell us about a diet named after you and a day and a half later it's going to be the subject of a documentary? And you need 50 people?

Just curious, do those 50 people have to pay for anything?

For the record, your first two posts look exactly the same as at MiniMins:

And you've got just four posts at both places. Just sayin'...

It founds very monotomious anyway. South Beach is working great for me. Is the removing seeds from tomatos just a gimic maybe?

Sceptical

Postby marky » Sat Oct 04, 2008 8:49 pm

Hi Nessa and Brett,

I can understand your scepticism. To give you a bit more info:

It was at the suggestion of friends who saw the dramatic weight loss that I share it with as many people as possible. So I turned to the internet. I had to join before I posted and I was only trying to put across what worked for me. I had the same question asked on both forums and all my friends have asked exactly the same question (re the seeds) the reason they asked is that it is very unusual to de-seed toms and cues in Western cultures: In Arabic countries it is very common place.

The TV side of it comes from discussions with my niece who is a presenter in the UK. We were discussing the thousands of diets available that all claim to be the best and the fact that there has never been a TV show that actually puts the diets up against each other to prove or disprove their claims. I explained that mine was not a diet simply a couple of recipes, in spite of this one of her producers asked for some hard evidence with minimum 50 people.

No there is nothing to pay. If you are sceptical try it for a week (especially if you are trying to lose the last stone)

You have nothing to lose, only weight!

Kind regards

No thanks, if I need to lose that "last stone", I'll just go back on P1 for a week. A better variety of foods and probably healthier. And I don't have to pick out any tomato seeds.

I agree with Bunnychick - the diet looks monotonous. I don't think I could last a week on it. And one thing about a good diet is being able to stick to it.

And by the way, you spelled my name wrong. One 't'.

Spelling mistakes BRET!

Hi Bret,

My sincere apologies for spelling your name incorrectly. As you seem to be a somewhat picky little person:

Your final line...

And by the way, you spelled my name wrong. One 't'

Should have read...

And by the way, you spelt my name wrong. One 't'

spelt is a grain where we come from! ;) spelled is indeed the preferred and still correct spelling of the past tense in this country. (the preferred spelling and usage is typically listed first in a dictionary, so spelled would be preferred to spelt.) Both are correct, but no one in the US uses "spelt" very much in this century anyway, unless they are talking about the grain. just sayin'... Ever cook spelt? man that stuff takes forever!

American Heritage Dictionary - Cite This Source - Share This spell 1 (spěl) Pronunciation Key
v. spelled or spelt (spělt), spell·ing, spells

v. tr.

To name or write in order the letters constituting (a word or part of a word).
To constitute the letters of (a word): These letters spell animal.
To add up to; signify: Their unwise investment could spell financial ruin.

what do you do after you lose the weight? what do you eat then?

And did you really expect a warm welcome coming onto a SB msg board throwing out your own ideas with a diet named after yourself?
