ticker trackers

I would like to know how I put my tracker on my postings,,,, can anyone help.

There's a sticky thread in the Technical Issues forum that is a kind of tutorial on the topic that covers the three main sites most used here.

But the basics are go to a site that creates them, create it and they should give you some options for the "code" to create the image on a message board. Choose the one that is for phpBBCode forums, or just BBCode, or some variation thereof. DO NOT choose the HTML option as it doesn't work well here. Highlight and copy the entire text string (working in two different "tabs" or browser windows is helpful for this btw.) and then come here and click on the Profile link at the top of any page. Scroll down in your profile page and paste the text into your signature block. Make sure that you have the preferences checked Yes to enable both BBCode and to include your signature in all posts. Scroll all the way down and click on the Submit button to save your changes.

I also think you have to have at least 10 posts before it will show or transfer... you (Lor) have only 5 as of this question. Is that right Red?

Interestingly that limit applies only to the body text of a post it seems. You can add links into signature blocks before you have 10 posts and have them appear properly, so tickers should work even without having 10 posts.

mine still isnt' showing up. i made sure my boxes were marked yes and now not only isn't my goal ticker showing neither is the url address that was showing before checking the yes boxes.

i must still be doing something wrong. any help would be greatly welcomed.
