Can you see a difference, because I can't.
To me your hips look like they have a smaller curve and your stomach looks less rounded. With your back shot in the red bra - you look smaller aroudn your sides. In the front on shot int he red brad your upper arms look smaller too, particularly the upper arm.
So, I can see some differences! It's always hard to see our own differences I think - we keep our "fat glasses" for a long time!

Manzy,
Thanks so much for you input and you are right about seeing our own differences.
Thank you for taking the time to peek at the pics and compare them, and I agree with you on the differences!
Of course 11 lbs on a body as big as mine is not alot, but I sure feel it already.
Thanks again!!!

Jhenny, thanks for your enthusiasm!
It keeps me motivated!!!
Maybe I will be able to see it when I've lost 40 or 50 lbs!!!
It's difficult to tell when I look at this body every day!

I would add to what the others have said by saying that to me your skin looks better. That is something I have noticed about myself too. Have you noticed any non-weight related differences? For the week before I started I wrote down how I was feeling each day. When I am finding it tough going I have read back through that and really seen how far I have come.
You are doing great. Keep going and you will see it yourself soon enough. I took photos of myself at the beginning and last week. I am not as brave as you so haven't posted any! (Plus I did underwear/naked ones so I'm certainly not posting those!).

i see it in the back shot... I do. but not in the front or the side YET.
i had a lot to lose and I did not see it until 30 pounds in.... now I can see a 5 pounds loss makes a difference..
DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED... keep on going... it will one day show... it's sort of all of a sudden HEY.... i've lost weight.
keep going!

Thanks so much for taking the time to look!
I am trying to loose a whole big man, so any little change that someone notices is great for me to keep motivated!
I actually can't believe that I have put pics of myself on the internet....something SO unlike my character.
But it helps me too because I don't know what my body looks like from all angles.....and it is pretty bad.
I appreciate the time taken in comparing the pics, it is not an easy job, and I can't see the difference......yet!
Have a great weekend!

Yes! I can tell a difference in the photos! Way to go!
Chai Tea, I've been quietly cheering you on since you started your journal and I even wrote out a long post to you once, but got shy and deleted it. Your subtle sense of humor in your posts always makes me smile. You have a very clever wit!
Your journey is much more dramatic and exciting than mine - I just want to lose about 15 pounds or so - but yet I see so many similarities in our situations.
Best wishes,

I can definitely see a difference....especially in your back and in the area under your arms. You are doing great! Your resolve and dedication are an inspiration to me and I am sure many other people.
Stay with it...keep inspring others, and in doing so you will inspire yourself. You can do it!!!!

One other thing....you mentioned that you are already feeling the differences of your weight loss, and that is great! I am a nursing student and the more I learn about physiology the more I understand the vital need we have to take care of our bodies. So even small losses in your weight are making dramatic improvements in your health! Each pound you lose is one less pound of stress on your heart and other systems...you are doing so great and taking such good care of yourself...keep it up!!! Love yourself first and the rest will follow! You are an inspiration and I applaud your courage and the immense love you are showing for yourself by following this diet.

As women who are constantly bombarded with messages that we aren't skinny enough and aren't good enough...we need to love ourselves more...and you are the embodiment of that right now. You GO!!!!!!

Thanks for telling me what you all have noticed!!!
What I find funny is that all the weight seems to come off my back, which I can't see!!!!!
I hope it comes off the belly and boobs soon, then I will be able to look in the mirror and see for myself!!!

You shouldtake the picture in the door way like in the first picture, that way it would be easier to see the changes.....because you were stood in the door frame...
Thanks for sharing
All the best

This time round on SBD, I have also lost weight off my back. Interesting isn't it? I am doing different work which does involve shoulder and core work so maybe that's what it is for me. I also notice my hips aren't quite as "saddle baggy" on the sides.
I guess it just shows that we're never the same person physiologically for long!

Thanks Lisa for the suggestion. It would give a nice frame to see the differences!
Manzy, it comes off the back and I can't appreciate seeing it melt!!!
I can't wait till the hums at the top of my hips are gone, and then I just have a nice round hip instead of bump bump!

Hi I just want to tell you that you are amazing!!! Good for you for posting a pic of before like that.....you're a true inspiration!!!
How are things going for you at this point? How often are you weighing yourself?
I've been on SB for about 8 weeks and am just going to start walking at night cause the weight isn't coming off so easily. The inches are melting away but not the weight. I can't bring myself to take a before pic tho...LOL
Keep up the awesome job!!!!
