Mild Acid Reflux

Postby Sass » Tue Jul 29, 2008 3:18 pm

I started P2 this past Saturday and I noticed a few days before that what I was taking as hunger is really acid reflux.

I talked to my friend about it and he thinks that I it may be a lack of calcium on my part. I am taking supplements that contain calcium so I don't know.

This started as I was getting through P1. Anybody experience this??? I took tums yesterday as the problem is not bad. I can feel it, but it's mild and thankfully it wasn't as bad as it was when I was pregnant w/ heartburn.

I used Pepcid - OTC when mine was mild....have lately been taking Nexium with some benefit after a flare=up.

I don't know if you've been treated for reflux in the past - some of the things that help when it is mild are not wearing constrictive waistlines, putting head of bed on a 4" brick or block, decreasing carbonation and possibly caffiene if you find it bothers you, smaller meals, milk makes me better but people with lactose intolerance finds the opposite to be true.

I also have figured out that wheat products [particularly cereal] are aggravating mine...never drew a connection before, so I'm going to try to test myself for a few days without.
