Tuesday 10/9

I think keeping this food journal has really helped me keep on track. Putting it out here where anyone could see it, really keeps me honest!

B - 2 cups coffee w/cream, ww bread w/avacado & tomato
S - 1/4 cup soy nuts, carrots
L - Salad
S - apple
D - talapia w/spinach, mushrooms,onions sauteed

E - 1 hr Curves (1/2 cardio, 1/2 strength)

Last week was too busy and was away from home and computer.

B - cold cereal w/ff milk, 2 cups coffee w/cream, Cheese stick
S - carrots
L - apple
S - triscuits
D - Walleye w/ww breading cooked in canola oil & spag squash w/red peppers, onions, mushrooms & parm cheese
S -soy nuts & apple

W - 104 oz
E - 1 hr cardio, 1 hr strength
HW - 194 LW - 153 SB since Jan 2006

S - carrots & red pepper strips & cheese stick
L - garden salad w/1% cottage cheese, garbonzo beans & light ranch
S - Apple & 1 dove dark choc piece
S - triscuits
D - Chicken, leftover spag squash, sauted spinach w/onions, mushrooms
S - nuts & fruit & sf fudge bar

W - 84 oz so far
E - 1/2 hr cardio 1/2 hr strength

Got to quit drinking so much water after dinner - I pee all night long!

Attending a "Read My Lipids" class tonight per Dr request!

B - cheese stick, V8 & 1 cup coffee w/cream
S/L - 1% Cottage Cheese w/dill & tsp light mayo, triscuit crackers & 1/4 cup soy nuts
S - cheese stick & apple
D - (eating out) tuna salad, cheese & tomato on sourdough bread - cheese not good
S -none

W - 84 oz
E - 1 hr cardio, 1 hr strength

Went to the Lipids class last night taught by the FNP that works with the specialist I will be going to. Pretty much knew most of it already due to SB. Took my husband with me and it helped make him more aware of why I follow the diet 98% of the time.

B - 1 cup coffee w/cream, 1% cottage cheese & rf triscuits
S - apple
L -salad (w/beans), sm bowl pea soup, wedge of cantalope
S -almonds
D - salmon w/sun dried tomato pesto, steamed broc/carrots/pea pods, ww couscous
S - popcorn

W - 64 oz
E - 1/2 hr cardio, 1/2 hr strength
HW - 194 LW - 153 SB since Jan 2006

Friday 10/19

Off to boring Curves again. I'm going to try a 4:30 Jazzercise class and when I get up the nerve, cancel my membership with Curves. It's kind like a safe fall back place, but membership has really dropped off and it's just so so boring! It's hard to get my heart rate up to the 80% level and the music is always the same, day after day!


B - cereal w/skim milk, 1/2 cup raspberries, cheese stick & V8, 1 cup coffee w/cream
S -apple
L - tomato stuffed w/tuna salad and fruit
S -nuts
D -2 crackers w/1 piece of cheese, two w. rolls w/tuna or shrimp, 2 bites of pumpking cake, veggies
S -popcorn

W- 80 oz
E - 1/2 hr cardio, 1/2 hr strength

I completely understand about the bored at Curves situation. When I went I was pumped at first, I was losing weight, then I got bored. It is really hard to exercise when you are bored.

I have now stopped Curves and am going to another gym. It offers more than Curves and it was cheaper. :D So do some research and find someplace that you think will keep you occupied and has different choices.

L - triscuits w/deli turkey and rf swiss cheese, grapes

E - cleaned house all day!

Tuesday 10/23

Saw hemotologist yesterday, kind of bummed me out. Not going to get all worked up over a maybe. Missed a couple of days posting, I did follow the plan and got my water in and 1 hr cardio and 1 hr strength on Monday. Going to try a Jazzercise class tonight - providing that the Maytag repair person comes and goes by then! Hey it's the Maytag lady, she shouldn't be busy right?

Start taking 1 baby asprin daily

Today's menu

B - 1 slice ww bread w/1 Tbsp peanut butter, two cups of coffee w/cream and V8
S - red peppers, tomatoes & carrots , Light string cheese
L - grilled chicken breast w/artichoke,spinach & moz cheese, garden salad with few grapes
S - string cheese
D - turkey meat loaf & italian mixed veggies (lima beans), skim milk
S - apple

W - 74 oz
E - 1/2 hr cardio, 1/2 hr strength (Jazzercise)

first class of Jazzercise - not bad,fast pace.

Was looking at the old challenges to get some ideas and thought maybe I should give this journaling a try again. Had done SB back in 2007/08 (?) and did well. I started having foot problems; popped tendon followed by bone/never issues in big toe which made even walking impossible. After a couple years I had surgery (last June 2010) on the toe. It is still a big sore when I overdue things, much better than it was, but when the doctor tells you you'll be back out there in a couple months............ha! I didn't wear shoes until December and am still looking for a comfortable pair of walking shoes. I have been spending some of the winter in Florida and joined a water aerobic class, which I love! Easy on the foot and all the other joints. Been active golfing and trying to get into bike riding - hurts my butt! Oh yeah, I gained all but one pound back so here I am. I follow WW along with the SB diet, so far I'm down 8 pounds. Going a lot slower this time but I'm not as physical as I used to be! Any way, I track food on WW site and will try to journal here.

Today 4/3/11

Breakfast

1 - Thomas WW bagel thin
1 Tbsp light veggie cream cheese
3 Slices Turkey
1/4 Avocado
2 cups coffee w/creamer (will be stopping that)

Dinner

Salmon on salad greens with tomatoes, green olives & 2 tbsp Light Ranch Dressing

Snack

Tostitos w/salsa (yeah I know)
1 - Coors Light

Walked 1 mile
Golfed 9 holes walking with pull cart

Plan to walk today and hopefully splash around in a pool. Have a errand to run, will take water with me and plan lunch better today. :oops:

Lunch

Plain chicken breast
1/2 cup strawberries
1 cup cantaloupe

Walked 1.7 miles, sure seemed longer but I tracked it with the car and that's what it said. Tomorrow I'll walk down to the next block and that should at least get me to an even 2 miles. Need to walk earlier in morning, was so hot!
