Awww...what a wonderful and beachy day! Got some painting done today and my DF gave me his little breakfast nook set ( was my DM's) and I am so tickled..it looks great :D His lady friend is moving in with him so really happy to see him doing so well and just really our Tuesday din din together. He loved ChefK's chicken parm and no one noticed I added extra veggies to the sauce. I am on an artichoke kick lately and added them to our salad along with some peppers and black olives and of course...spinach. Eat it with EVERYTHING! Tomorrow I am having a big oatmeal cookie SB style for breakfast so looking forward to something different. Here is my menu for today...
B: 2 eggs w/ a slice of turkey bacon, v-8 juice, coffee w/ 1% milk and splenda
S: apple
L:no pasta fagioli on a bed of spinach
S: string cheese
D: chicken parmesan, salad w/ italian dressing, glass of wine
S: coffee w/ 2 squares of Ghiradelli 72% cocoa...yum!
Smay they did not have anything other than the Ghiradelli at my Walmart but will check Kroger and see. Hope everybody had a good day on the beach!

S: string cheese, apple
L: salad, bowl of no pasta fagioli w/ spinach
S: greek yogurt
D: chicken parmesan w/spinach and broccoli, salad w/ italian dressing
S: bean brownie w/ cool whip
I felt hungry today and hope it was not because of the oatmeal...I really enjoyed having something new for breakfast so going to give it a couple more days :) Finished painting the chairs and am running out tomorrow to look for material to recover the seats! Have fun painting! We've been remodeling our bathroom for the last 6 months! Do you paint after your little one is down for the night?

You sound very handy. Have you ever refinished furniture? I have a really nice dresser that I got from my Grandma. It was painted yellow - probably in the 50's - and we think it may be oak underneath it all. I'd really like to strip it, but have never done anything like that before. Any tips?

I hope it wasn't your oatmeal that made you hungry. I can't imagine not having my oatmeal in the mornings.

Have a beachy day!!

B: big bfast cookie, v-8 juice, coffee w/ 1% milk, 1 T of pb on my cookie
S: string cheese
L: no pasta fadioli w/ handful of spinach
S: almonds
D: tilapia w/ green beans, broccoli and salad w/ italian dressing
S: apple and 2 squares of chocolate
I added pb and moved my apple so I think that did the trick! It's TOM so the hungry mystery was solved :) I saw 162 today but am going to wait a couple more days which is my usual M.O. when it comes to the scale...it likes to toy with me sometimes. SMAY I find out as much as I can on the internet and then hope all of that will help me with a project. Repainting is simple just get a hand held sander to help with getting the finish off. If you are going to strip it liquid sander is helpful but really smelly and messy with the scraping plus you have to be careful applying too much pressure-you dont want to gouge the wood. If you have a place with a little climate control so it's not exposed to a lot of heat or humidity that helps. Also, be careful with pets being around it while it's drying. I was sooo thrilled to see cat hair stuck in the finish of a cabinet door  Anyhoo....so hot here in TN that indoor projects are my only option for awhile...when Henni takes her nap (2 hrs) is when I get to work on stuff. It is slow some days but it is still fun! Waiting for some fabric I ordered to re cover my kitchen chairs and a cushion for my little bench :D Have a wonderful and beachy day...

Took our family to the Chattanooga aquarium for the day and had a great time...not so beachy, though. My DH got up early and went to the bakery for some breakfast to eat on the way so I would not have to worry about making anything. So, I had a chocolate chip scone  The rest of the day was food less until about 4pm. We went to TGI Fridays and I got salmon with broccoli and mixed veggies. By the time we got home I was just tired and my stomach was upset so today laying low and keeping it beachy for my tummy. Hope everybody is having a wonderful weekend!!

Sounds like you had a good weekend with your family. A scone sounds so delicious. :) I've noticed that if I don't eat well, I end up feeling sick as well. It seems like one cheat doesn't hurt, but an entire off meal can make me not feel so hot.

Thanks for the refinishing advice. I would guess I'll have to use our basement when I ever get around to it. It's dog free 99% of the time, and pretty stable climate wise. Time to start scouring the internet for tips I guess! I think I'd like to strip and stain it instead of just repaint. But if that doesn't work, I think it would nice in a shabby white look. I also want to do our dining room table sometime. Of course, I have no idea when I'll find the time! :? Now my husband is talking about redoing our kitchen floor, countertops, and backsplash. We still need to finish the bathroom!

Have a great day!!

B:v8 juice, 2 eggs, slice of canadian bacon, cofffee w/ 1% milk
S: greek yogurt
L: left over piece of chicken parmesan on a bed of spinach
S: ----
D: roasted artichoke, roasted poblano pepper w/ 1 string cheese stuffed in it, salad w/ italian dressing
S: oatmeal cookie
I really felt bad most of the day tummy wise and think just a combination of TOM and really bad food choices on Saturday. Feeling like myself today and even though my friend is coming to stay for a few days, going to stay beachy :D I did get more painting done in my bedroom, though, and my DS braved the intense heat to finish mowing down our road/driveway. My cantaloupes are starting to come in and I am really excited to have fresh melon as a treat :) Well Susan, it seems we are traveling the same road home improvement-wise. We too have a great house that just needs updating (master bath, kitchen cabinets, counter tops, etc.) I tried re-staining my kitchen cabinets and that was where I ended up unhappy with what I thought was not a uniform look to the stain so now painting them an almond cream color. It worked out because we put wood floor in the kitchen and I think it would have been too much brown for me. You sound pretty handy as well so your basement will be perfect for your project! Okay gotta get ready to go antiquing with a dear friend...stay beachy! I am

Hi Tracy -

I hope you enjoyed your bread! I believe sourdough used to be on the P2 okay list actually, though it was removed in the SuperCharged version? I am pretty sure I read it somewhere on the forums, so as for a bread indulgences, not too bad!

So, do you keep a starter? For the past few years I've thought about making a starter, but I'm afraid I would kill it our it would mold on me. Have you tried a whole wheat sourdough?

Isn't that mint chocolate just amazing... I don't blame you for not sharing! My mom is like that with my dad and good quality chocolates. If I buy her some Godiva or some from our restaurant in town that makes handmade chocolates she refuses to share with him. He's just as happy with the good stuff as a Hershey bar, so she's decided that since he doesn't appreciate good chocolate so he shouldn't eat it because it would be a waste!

Have a great day!!
Susan

B: v8 juice, coffee w/ 1% milk, big bfast cookie w/ peanut butter
S: greek yogurt
L: bowl of no chicken pasta fagioli, salad w/ italian dressing
S: cashews, nf sf vanilla iced latte
D: rainbow pasta tortellini ( i ate 3..sooo good!) w/ italian chicken sausage and a spoon of spaghetti sauce, brussel sprouts, salad w/ italian dressing, glass of wine
S: dont know :?:
No Susan, I do not have a starter :) I found a mix from Krusteaux that was a sourdough and my hubby LOVED it! Actually everyone did-even my dad. So, my DH goes to Costco since it is down the street from his work and I think he gets how hard I am working to be healthier but still brings home chicken salad (i LOVE) V8 fusion? ravioli, etc...Forget that there are two giant bags of M&Ms ( plain and peanut) on top of the fridge from the last trip--I am venting and feeling like I may be in love with a diet saboteur  I am remembering how bad I feel when I cheat so hoping that will keep me straight and out of the chicken salad  It certainly has made it easy to hide my lovely chocolate and Susan I agree whole heartedly with your mom...Let them eat Hersheys!!!

Ha! My husband likes to buy salted nut rolls, all the time! If he goes to the store alone, undoubtedly he will come home with one, and then eat it in front of me! of course, he's been doing this and still lost 20 lb. in the last 6 months.

Keep on trucking! You're so close to your goal already!!

I'll have to look for the mix to give it a try sometime. I always make my bread from scratch, so I've never tried a sourdough. Sounds like something for a fun treat sometime, like BLT's with garden fresh tomatoes and real bacon. I like to plan my cheats! 8)

My the weekend went fast! My son went back to school today  The summer vacation just disappeared! Did not have time to post but I did okay beachy-wise. Had a burger from Hardees minus the bun when we visited Oma Saturday and yesterday had too many cashews for sure  Think it's a 1/4 cup and I had a handful I am sure...Adding flax seed to my oatmeal to see if it will help with constipation I have had since Friday. Drinking lots of water and eating fiber but something is amiss. I am actually up a pound and really hoping that it will be resolved and I will be back on track. It's already 100 degrees at 9:30 in the morning so I think painting inside today  SMAY, men seem to have it pretty easy with weight loss, getting ready to go out, getting older, self esteem, etc...I could go on and on! Congrats to your DH, though, 20 pounds is my dear hope and if I can lose it while eating food I love as well then I will be a happy camper! Hope everyone has a beachy day :)
