Hey Dragon!

Glad you (kind of) liked the red bean patties! I think it is something that grows on you, after awhile. My boys weren't too crazy about it at first, but now they fight me over it! I try not to make it too often or I get really sick of it.

Your menu sounded pretty yummy today. Just think.. you are almost through your first week! Once you are on phase 2, I think it gets a lot easier! You are doing great!! :D

So welcome to day 6!!! Tomorrow you are done with the first week! Start checking out the p2 list and read about how to transition so you can feel nice and comfortable about it and will already have a plan. p1 is all about getting rid of the sugar cravings so you can enter the beach. Look at is as cleansing. It may be why you don't feel wonderful. You body is dumping all the bad stuff out of your body and readjusting it's sugar levels. There's a lot going on below the surface. Think about it as wow...my body is going through such an overhaul that I can feel it!

DAY 6

B - Scrambled eggs with a sprinkle of cheese - 2 turkey sausage - V8 - Decaf coffee with splenda & skim milk
S - Yogurt with sugar free maple syrup
L - Salad with left tover chicken paprika - avocado - red bean mash - balsamic vin
S - lf string cheese
D - Same thing as lunch
S - NSA fudgsicle - Natural Peanut Butter - SF cool whip

Happy Saturday... Today went pretty well. I was busy shopping during the day with my daughter. I've been looking at food processors...trying to decide which one to buy. Expensive things!

The hardest thing about today was making dinner. We invited my brother over and had spaghetti dinner. I was buttering the bread and sprinkling the cheese on top. When it came out of the oven I was tearing it into pieces for my daughters plate. I soooooo....wanted to take a bite. It looked so good! Melted cheese on bread with garlic. YUM!!!!! That was really hard. I was also eying the candy at the checkout stands today. Just the chocolate...

Tomorrow will be the 1/2 way marker for Phase 1... I'm doing good...lots of temptations and I haven't given in once!

DAY 7

B - Mock Belgian Waffle - made with 2 eggs, ricotta, cinnamon, baking powder. - V8 - Decaf coffee with splenda and skim milk
S - LF String Cheese
L - chicken salad with tomatoes
S - Major sweet craving so I made the fudgsicle - Natural Peanut Butter - sf cool whip treat - YUM
D - Chicken chili - white beans, artichokes, olives, tomatoes and too many chilies...HOT - hubby liked it but it was hard for me to eat. Sprinkled a little lf cheese and lf sour cream on top.

Worked out for 20 minutes to Jillian Michaels and she kicked my butt. Gosh 20 minutes and I know I'll be sore tomorrow. I am so out of shape. SAD!! I took some pictures today of myself. Wanted to post them as a before pic and post some on the way. I'll just post them in here. I'll post the before baby pics. Today I'm 5 months postpartum having 3 kids. Now let's see if I can figure out how to get the pics on here.

I'm a HUGE Cuisinart fan. I've had mine for 12 years and it runs like a charm.

The picture in the red dress was before the 3 babies. The other 2 pictures were taken today. Ugh... I have a lot of work to do!

Wow, Dragon!! You look like a model in that red dress!!

As for your current pics, actually you hold your weight very well, IMO. You are 5' 6" and you want to be 125 pounds? I am only 5' 2" and I despair at ever getting below 130. My body thinks fat is it's soulmate, I swear. I can't part them!

I only had one and had similar effects. (not as hot to start! WOW ) I've been through more than most trying to correct it. It's a long story, but if you want more info just PM me. I know I may never have a pre-prego body, but being fit and looking good in clothes would be great! We'll get there.

DAY 8

B - 2 eggs scrambled with spinach and mushrooms...little sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Little salsa too! Decaf Coffee with Splenda and skim milk.
S - FF Plain Yogurt with SF Maple Syrup
L - Leftover chicken chili - V8
S - Fudgsicle - natural peanut butter - SF cool whip - ---- I think I should stop eating this everyday. So tomorrow I'm going to try and not have any sweet treats like this.
D - Best Dinner - turned out soooo good. :D Pesto baked salmon with green beans, pine nuts and a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.... So YUM.
S - NSA Fudgsicle

Today went pretty well except I think I ate too many sweet things. I could hardly walk from doing the 20 minute Jillian Michael fitness show yesterday. So, couldn't work out today but plan to tomorrow as long as the kids cooperate.

My husband brought home Happy Meals from McDonald's for the kids dinner. As I was cutting one of the cheese burgers in pieces I popped a piece in my mouth. I spit it out as soon as I realized what I did. I hadn't even chewed into yet to really taste it which I'm glad. Phew - that was close!

Tonight we're expecting a big snow storm so I went to the grocery store and health food store to pick up some things. I wanted Tahini to make with my hummus. Stumbled across the Endangered Species chocolate Bars and bought 5 of them! Yes, 5 and they were expensive! Chocolate with forest mint, chocolate with blueberries, chocolate with raspberries...YUM. I also bought one bar of another kind. All were 70%, this should last me a super long time. I will have to find out what my limit of chocolate is per day or per week! I plan to have a bite as soon as I move into Phase 2. So after my mouth was watering from buying all these chocolate bars I had to have a NSA Fudgsicle when I got home. Bad Me! :x

I weighed in at 172 this morning, 4 pound loss. I feel I could have lost more if I would have worked out more and not ate my fudgsicle treat everyday.

I'm really looking forward to cooking the BBQ pork dish with slaw when I get to Phase 2.

If anyone has any suggestions on my menu to help me, please feel free. thx

Thanks Kyan! I used to be a model...not any more!!!! :?

I think I've told you before that I would be happy at 135...but 125 is where I was right before I got pregnant with the first child and I looked good! I'm going to have to realize that I may never look like that again and I'm far from it right now. Geez, I can't even find my hip bones... SAD

Every time I look in your journal your working out - the fat has to eventually go.
