First day on the Beach and it was really hard for me... :?

Here is what I ate...

B - 2 eggs scrambled with tomatoes, black beans, mushrooms, spinach and a sprinkle of low fat cheese
S - 2 small celery sticks with natural peanut butter
L - Salad with baked chicken, tomatoes, avocado, mushroom, chickpeas and balsamic vin dressing and feta cheese
S - Aprox. 3/4 cup of fat free plain yogurt.
D - Baked chicken in lemon juice with garlic and roasted asparagus

I was starving by lunch...so tomorrow I think I will make 3 eggs scrambled and try to add more of the spinach and veggies along with a turkey sausage. The peanut butter was disgusting on the celery..YUK - I'm just so used to regular peanut butter. Lunch was good but my salad dressing spilled out and I was pissed about that. Afternoon snack - YUK - fat free plain yogurt - not good. I don't normally eat yogurt so this was not appealing to me. Dinner - the chicken and asparagus was very good but I don't think I made enough. Should have cooked another veggie with it.

My stomach feels weird. My body is so used to cereal, bread and junk. It was so hard for me not to cheat and I didn't cheat. I'm proud of myself. Cooking the kids breakfast, lunch and dinner was hard. I always usually pick at it and take a bite but today I had to remember to stop myself.

I don't think my husband likes me right now...I'm very irritable. :x

Tomorrow I have decided to make a crockpot turkey chili for dinner. I really hope tomorrow is better.

Day 2 - Phase 1

B - 3 egg scramble with spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes and 2 turkey sausage - Decaf coffee with Splenda and skim milk for creamer.
S - Fat Free plain yogurt with a little sugar free maple syrup
L - Chicken salad with chickpeas, avocado, tomato and thousand island dressing.
S - 10 roasted peanuts - low fat string cheese
D - Turkey Chili - small glass of V8

I did not exercise at all today. :( 2 1/2 hr. Dr. visit took that away. Starting some medication tomorrow so...I hope it doesn't affect anything.

Feeling much better today and not freaking out about wanting to eat sugar.

I drank water all day.

Onto Day 3!

Hey Dragon! Sounds like you are doing good so far! You know, I am no expert... but I think if you want your treat in the afternoon instead of at night, what difference does it make? It's the same amount of calories for the day! If it helps you stay successful on the Beach and it works for YOU, then that is all that matters! I say go for it! :D

Word of warning about the dry roasted peanuts... be sure to read the label! I made some for a Beach dish and when I read the label it had tons of s**t (including sugar if I remember correctly!) that I didn't know about. I think they were Planters. I had no clue that they added crap like that to PEANUTS! Who knew!

Crap...I'm going to go read the label right now.

Thanks for the warning!

Yep, perfect!! :D

You know, I didn't mean to knock Planters, there. They probably have dry roasted peanuts that don't have crap added.... leave it to me to buy the wrong kind! Also... I bought them in the jar... the can seems to have more natural nuts for some reason! lol I guess you just have to read those labels constantly! :|

DAY 4

Today is my birthday! :D

Breakfast - Mock French Toast - V8 - Decaf Coffee with Splenda and skim milk
Snack - low fat string cheese
Lunch - Chicken salad with chick peas, egg, tomato
Snack - NSA Fudgsicle - natural peanut butter - SF cool whip - dessert - my bday dessert
Dinner - V8, FF Plain Yogurt, Celery with light laughing cow cheese, dry roasted peanuts

Today has been hard because I feel weird from the medication I'm taking. It says on the label - take with bread or crackers. Um...can't have bread or crackers. So I guess I get to feel like crap while I'm on it the whole time. 4 more days and I'm done with the meds.... :(

Thank you... It feels so much easier after the first freak out day... Well, for me anyway. I'm just worried about this stupid medication and how it's making me feel. I wish it didn't have to happen right now.

I just need to find time to workout like you! You have it down more then me!
