Lakegran, I can't wait till I can take a picture where it's actually producing fruit!!!

Food yesterday, back on track! - A little high on nuts, but that's because I didn't plan ahead for cashew chicken.

b- eggs, toast, cheese, v8
s - coffee
l - big salad topped with ground beef, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, a little cheese, and ranch, glass of milk
s1 - another cup of coffee (decaf) with square of dark chocolate
s2 - 1 oz. cashews, banana, laughing cow with 4 triscuits
d - cashew chicken with water chestnuts, milk

e - 3.15 miles on the elliptical
w - good

Scale had a broken blip this morning. I may need to replace the batteries, since it weighed me 20 lb. less than I am. 2nd time on it, it was back to normal. Maybe that was fate telling me what my goal should be?

Scale was nice again this morning. Down .5 from start of 10 lb. challenge. Hopefully I will behave this weekend and it will stick. We have a party to go to tomorrow. I have no idea what I'm going to bring, though I know the hostess is making multiple beachy foods, with chili and my favorite slow cooker chicken taco soup. Going to be a lot of time outside plaiying with the kids in the snow, since they live in the country and the party is a winter "golf" party.

Yesterday was another good food day. Journaling food has really hepled me.

b - eggs, toast, cheese, v8
s - coffee, dark chocolate
l - leftover meatloaf, ww homemade mac n cheese, green giant box of veggies (beans, carrots, spinach, etc.), milk
s - string cheese
d - leftover meatloaf, outside of a dinosaur grilled cheese, sugar snap peas, milk
s- nsa fudgecicle, 1 oz. cashews

Saturday was a jumbled mess of random foods. Nothing "junky", but not really beachy.

Sunday:

b - banana, handful of cashews, v8
l - turkey and ham on a thinbun with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, two pickle spears, few sugar snap peas, box of green giant steam veggies (healthy weight), milk
s1 - cup of coffee, too many dark chocolate covered raisins from TJ's
s2 - string cheese, few more cashews, and some more of those darn raisins! (May have been something more too, but I can't remember...)
d - arm roast from the crock pot, ww pita, slice of cheese, cooked carrots, coleslaw, beachy cool whip salad concoction, milk

w - okay
e - none (was planning on it, but the foot of snow dumped on us kinda changed my driving plans)

Yesterday was just okay food-wise... I had a bought of hunger and nothing was working to satisfy it. I ended up eating some of the kids junk food, and that helped. Sometimes I think I just need to go with what I'm craving (in moderation) and move on. Had a loss on the scale finally, so my de-railment was not too detrimental.

b - ww pita, eggs, cheese, v8
s - coffee, dark chocolate covered raisins, left over tortilla roll-ups
l - left-over arm roast, coleslaw, cool whip salad, cooked carrots, and sugar snap peas, milk
s- another fully caffinated coffee, more of those raisins, trail mix
d - how bad is it that I actually can't remember what I had for dinner last night... Maybe the same-ish as lunch? Ugh!

e - little over 3 miles on the elliptical. When I do the interval setting I get less mileage in than when I do the fat burner setting, and I switched it up to interval last night
w - good

weigh-in - down 2 lb. from last week. Finally into negative numbers on the challenge thread. Of course, 10.5 more lb. till goal, since I started at 12 lb. Scale is at my all-time beachy low though, which makes me happy. Which means I am 14 lb. from being at my all-time low weight as an adult. Feeling very slow and turtle-ish to win this race though!

Great job getting that scale moving!!

I remember one lecture back in my WW days where the leader talked about one night when she just wanted some chocolate. But she convinced herself to eat something more healthy. She still wanted chocolate, but ate something else instead. This went on and on until she had eaten many many more calories than she would have if she had just had the darn piece of chocolate in the first place! That's what's nice about P2 - you can have your chocolate and eat it, too! Feeling deprived is no fun and leads to overeating with little satisfaction. Sometimes just one of those Dove dark chocolates gets me through a bad time, even if it's emotionally related rather than hunger. I always keep some on hand (and hide them from the rest of the family!).

Winter golf sounds awesome. Ironically, my husband picks up his new driver tomorrow. He's ready for the season NOW. Congrats on the weight loss. I'm starting to move in the right direction too. Hopefully we'll pick up momentum. I wanted to let you know we recently had a Smay night with BBQ, cole slaw and carolina sauce. mmmm...

Been in a crash n burn mode for the last week or so. I'm going to take a break from the food journaling for a bit. I've been rationalizing eating things that I wouldn't have gone near a month ago. Getting back on track now though.

Just dusting off the old journal for a trip back to P1 starting tomorrow.

I'm up a few pounds from when I was here last. Summer has been rough. Scale has been bouncing up and down a bit, though I'm still fitting into my clothes. I am cheating way too much though and my tummy feels it. Gotta get back on track ASAP!

Planning on a chili omelet for breakfast with a coffee, snack of some string cheese, pork loin and a ton of fresh cucumbers for lunch with milk, nuts for an afternoon snack, and taco salad for dinner with milk. I'll try to log specifics tomorrow!

Hi Jeff - thanks for dropping by. It does seem like quite a few of us are in the same boat. Weight not completely out of control, but no longer comfortable where were are at with our food. Right before Christmas last year I hit 55.5 lb. lost. Now I'm back more around the 50 lb. lost point. Still very good, but not where I want to be!

Not sure how I want to log food yet. I may go with logging the day after, but for today I'm going to try keep current.

Breakfast: 2 eggs omelet with a slice of cheese and homemade chili, cup of coffee

I usually tend to log the meals the day of, since its planned in advance. Kind of like "You already have this set, you already wrote down its what you're having, make sure you stick to it" Eh, maybe im weird in that aspect but the number one thing that has helped me on the beach was planning and cooking my meals except breakfast for 2-3 days in advance. No way im about to eat 3 day old eggs

Im actually in almost exactly the same boat. I was at 56 pounds lost, now im back to 51 or so. Kind of funny how similar it can be. Im happy we both realize and are getting back on the beach. When i started there was a group of 10-15 of us doing it, i think 2, maybe 3 including myself stuck it out. It requires a bit of discipline but as we both know the results are worth the sacrifices. Good luck with the 2 weddings! im sure more temptation will be there for you then me. Also ill be sure to let my girlfriend know, thats a good plan.

Thanks, Kyan. That's me. Of course, being a stay-at-home mom, I usually have my hair barely brushed and up in a pony tail, and no makeup! I snapped that pic before my husband's company picnic this summer, since I took a few minutes to pull myself together!

Day 1 done!

Breakfast: 2 eggs omelet with a slice of cheese and homemade chili, cup of coffee
Snack: string cheese
Lunch: slice of pork loin, one large cucumber from our garden, glass of milk
Snack: 1 oz cashews, a tiny bowl of chili
Dinner: ginormous taco salad with lettuce, tomato, black olives, taco meat, cheese, reduced fat sour cream, and some of our newly canned salsa, and milk

Avoided... tortilla chips, taco shells (hard and 100% whole wheat soft), and the boston creme pie and ice cream our friends brought for dessert. That's a win I guess!

See you tomorrow!
