Hi Mary Ann

Just stopping in for a quick hello. I am sure you are sitting in your favorite capris and are doing a great job on the scrap book :)

I have been very busy w my mom and the rest of regular life. My diet is good, my biggest "cheat" is if I eat more protein than I have planned. I am less crazy about the scale and finally reluctantly learned to live w how I feel, rather than letting the little arrow pointing to a number make my day good or bad. I do feel I want to eat more though, so I am going to work on that, trying to stop the gluttonous streak before it hits big.

I think you are doing really fabulously- you and OnaMi have a lot of this figured out the right way and long term. I miss RedRox' comments though- I used to laugh at his sarcasm and appreciate his compassion, wit and down to earth comments.

Anyway- heading to work, just wanted you to know that I think of you.

Thanks for stopping in Judi.

Well at 1:00 am this morning I realized that toast is a gateway drug. Thank goodness I did fall asleep shortly afterwards so I did not go crazy-but I could have!

I woke up Tuesday morning with a nasty bug bite. (I am thinking it is a spider bite-hoping it is not a brown recluse bite) By Wed. night I decided I better go have it looked at-so yesterday went to urgent care and got a tetanus shot, benadryl, and 2 different antibiotics. Now, antibiotics normally hit my gut like a mac truck so I did eat more starchy things yesterday. So far so good on the gut issues-so today I'll just go back to my regular menu. The bite does look better this morning and it not as itchy. I have to go back for a re-check tomorrow.

What do you mean toast is a gateway drug?...

Glad the bite is better. They can be nasty. Usually are treated w antibiotics if severe. Doubt it's brown recluse, those are REALLY nasty and emergency rooms are pretty tuned into them....

It's not the toast that's the gateway drug, it's the jelly I put on it! I get a taste, and my mouth says Mike (because when I talk to myslef I call myself Mike) it says Mike, that was good - we need more things like that. So the progression goes something like jelly, jelly doughnut, chocolate doughnut, chocolate candy, rock candy crystal, crystal meth.........

Ouch to the spider bite! He bit you because you tasted like...........toast! ;)

I am so impressed with your ability to SORT your pics before you begin! I just grab a few that are similiar and go. Just make sure you don't spend so much time planning to scrapbook that you burn out before you actually DO scrapbook. LOL I've so done that before!

Have a beachy Saturday!

Hey Michelle-If I don't sort first...I have to change the page if I find a photo I like better. Sorting really does save time.

The toast made me feel so good-it was like a drug...and Mike...there is no jelly in my house...and none of the other goodies either. I may have to go straight to the last one!

The PA I saw today was not the one I saw on Thursday...so when I told him why I was there he said-"I can tell you for sure you do not have a spider bite." Then he looked at it. But at least he was sure it was not a brown recluse...I live in their range...I just did a mammoth spring clean in my bedroom to unearth the boxes of photos for the scrapbooks...If I have a crater in my leg next week...

Anyway according to my research-only if you saw the spider bite you and you bring the spider to the doctor's office do they actually almost admit that you were bitten by a spider. I never said the words brown recluse-he did. However-if you are a healthy adult there is not much to worry about.

OTOH, a little lame racehorsie named Capri Pants would be quite charming. :)

I think I stick with Bony Roany-but the only bones on me that might be visible are ankle and wrist. The Capri pants do show off my best feature! BR had a baby with...Secretariat.

I was able to complete 20 pages yesterday. I am doing the school days one first-so it will go pretty quick. All the horrible school photographer's yearly 8x10's and a write up of things that happened during the school year. I note everything major on my calendar and I keep the calendars. So far only one is missing. Add report cards, award certificates, a few photos from sports and girl scouts and it is all coming together nicely.

It is Monday once again.

I am still staying the same weight and all the clothes fit! I did a major spring cleaning of my house this past week. No time for the scrapbook. DD's last final for the semester is on Wednesday...she is thinking about coming home for a few days. So I will have to pack away all the photos, etc. if I want to still keep the scrapbook a surprise.

I am trying to keep one meal a day (at least) a PI meal. That seems to keep me in line.

Well it ended up that DD did not come home-I went to visit her! I was there almost a week and I worked my way through most of her laundry and cooked meals that she liked. She has had a part-time job for a while and she was going to start an internship. I was there for her first intern day just in case she needed to vent. (she did) No summer classes but she will basically be working M-F 8:00-5:00. Her job and the internship are in her field so she will have real experience when she graduates next spring.

My weight is staying about the same-so I feel good. The spider bite thing healed-it took about 3 weeks. I still have a discolored spot, but no crater-thank goodness.

DD picked out a bunch of beads while I was with her-so now I have to make jewelry to send to her for her birthday too. At least the scrapbook will be a surprise.

Hi Mary Ann

Just passing by to say hello.

Still fighting the same demons.

Holding on to my loss but no moving down. It's a miracle as is, since I spent about 2 weeks eating WAY OFF. Don't know why I have more trouble than others to stick to it (and why I hate moving my body so much). OUCH.

Where do you keep your food diary? Online? I was emailing it for awhile but looking for an alternative idea.

Have a great weekend. Don't let the sun burn the dark spot after the spider bite if you want it to not get darker.

Well-I did not realize it has been so long since I posted. Still doing fine in PIII. I am keeping with in a 3 pound range up/down. So I feel pretty good about being stable. DD's birthday was Sunday. She survived turning 21. I finished the scrapbook, but did not mail it to her-too many original things to risk losing. I thought one friend from home would go see her and take it to her. Anyway DD is coming home this weekend for Father's day and to see that friend. She does not know about the scrap book-just that there was one present too heavy to mail.
