The number on the scale isn't going to fix everything in your life, but you are strong and smart and you will figure it out. You are more than your weight loss, but need to start getting rid of the emotional weight as well as the physical weight. The exercise is good, but maybe exploring something spiritual or artistic that you've always wanted to do could be a start on a more positive path. Is there anything that just made you smile when you were a kid - coloring, swimming, music? Explore some of that - maybe take pottery class or piano or just do some spiritual reading for now. It's time to start strengthening your inner life, too.

Thanks Chris! Really.. i don't have any problems, maybe i gave off the wrong vibe in my post.IDK.I'm just waiting on the Lord to tell me/show me what next he wants me to do.My inner strength is in tact  the Lord gave me the strength to lose this weight and keeps me going everyday.I'm nothing without him.He will direct my path, lead me in the way he wants me to go.I lean on him for everything.Sometimes those negative thoughts come in but i know how to cast them down and know that everything will be alright.I'm good

Thanks amalfi-girl (hug)..glad I'm able to encourage you :) hope things are going good.your still posting so that's great!! like Karl said.."Just keep showing Up". :) Sorry i haven't had time to vist your Journal,I will soon.

Had a good week down .6 to 198.6! wore a yellow suit to Church yesterday!!! went out my way to speak to 2 guys and when one of them put his hand on my back i thought to myself..wow..he don't feel any rolls in my back!!!YAY!!! I've always worn so much black cause it made me look smaller  now..i feel like spring and feel like I'm just starting to live!! setting into my new lifestyle nicely and just enjoying being me.

Hey onaMi,

That is such a great story about your yellow suit!

It is spring time and I put away all the dark colors last week too! I been wearing capri pants this week. A little chilly, but it feels great to wear lighter colors and fabrics again. I am one of those people that like the heat and the humidity of summer!

Take care this week-

Thanks Mary Ann..yeah,I've always worn sooo much black cause it made me look smaller but me having the confidence and self-esteem to wear colors now is really amazing :D I'm wearing white suits and stuff  no body better not ask me to go any where :D I'm ready  I'm just so happy about life now :P

I like summer too cause i like to sweat now, who'd thunk it

Saw an old friend i hadn't seen in 5 years, she looked familiar but had gain so much weight until i didn't recognize her.I said.."don't i know you",she looked hard at me and said."do you have a sister named Ona" I said "I'm Ona"..she was speechless! she just could not believe her eyes.it was very funny though :)

So this week I'm down 2.6 to 196.0 and moving along nicely.I'm just jogging my way to goal!!! had to buy some running shoes cause my feet started to hurt on one side.Found out that there's a difference in running shoes and walking shoes.

I have a jogging partner now!!!a friend of mine(that i met while at the track) has developed her endurance enough to jog now!! I'm so happy for her.Now we jog side by side!! I push her and she pushes me. :D when she just wants to walk a lap, i jog next to her sometimes and just keep going.I'm up to 2.25 miles non-stop now!!

I've been thinking..can/will i get up to 5 miles  then run in a race  My Brother told me that if i entered a race ,I'd be running to the hospital  but that would really be something though... but Just a thought.

Mother and family are really proud of me.They even told me :) Mother said, you did that thing :D Brother just smiles..sister,she is glad and gave me a card that said we're proud of you for my Birthday. They have all wanted me to be smaller forever but i had to really want it for myself..that's the only way i could do this.

My sister don't believe i can keep it off  but she never has been one to wish me luck about anything anyway so :? I guess since she knows I'm gonna be smaller than her soon(26lbs away) but i have knowledge now,eat good and eat a lot..like they say, knowledge = power.I know what certain foods did/do to me so i have a choice, either go back to eating junk, feeling miserable or continue to eat healthy and feel /look great..i chose the later 8)

I'm really at peace with my new lifestyle.I rest on Sundays now..it took me a long time to be at ease with just resting and not freaking out about gaining anything or not working out cause i think it will slow me down from losing. I'm coming to terms with it more and more.I was a wreck trying to jog early Sunday Mornings and make it to Church on time.wow..that's stress. So I'm glad I've got/am getting a handle on that.

Concentrating on sculpting my core more which is going good.

Found out drinking more of my allowed milk helps me release body waste more which is great!!

let me see..i think that's all that happen this week..i need to start making notes so i can remember it all come Mondays

Till next week! :)

It's great that you pulled yourself out of that blip of negativity!! The yellow suit sounds fantastic! I've never been able to wear yellow much, but do like bright colors. Getting out of the black is slimming rut is so great - another milestone.

Unfortunately my spring fling for clothes is pulling out my periwinkle lighter winter jacket with the zip-out lining. The lining is still in, and I've cut back to polar fleece gloves and am trying not to wear a hat. But it's been cold and windy here, so I run to the car and turn on the heat! Enjoy your sweating!

Ah..Thanks Chris X, my desire is to be able to help someone like so any of you have helped me. :)

So..got some rest and kicked butt this week(down 2.6) Constantly reviewing my journal of what i eat,how much i eat of different things and have switch some things up again  For the past 3 months, I've been eating popcorn on a regular basis!! I've struggled for so long to eat it without gaining and finally (after measuring it out)it's a regular part of my menu now.Yay!!! it's very important to my plan cause i like it and had/have to find Items that i know will keep me in the SB WOE mindset. Have cut back on so much protein cause i was eating more than the 4 oz  and have replaced that w/more veggies. My allowed milk is working perfectly !!! and all's right with the world.

Oh..steamed some Blue Crabs Saturday and they were delicious :P I've been wanting some for a while now but never took the time to fit them.Always buy the crab claw meat in the can  I didn't need to put any salt in them cause they were salty enough,(i had salt-substitute ready though) just some red pepper flakes..then after they were ready,peeled/cleaned them..then placed about 7 crabs (broken into) in a bowl, sprinkled w/Mrs.Dash garlic seasoning, parsley and 2 tbs of melted ICBINB :P had enough for Sunday and still have some legs for today 8) yahoo..learning how to eat for life!!!

I loved reading about your yellow suit, OnaMi! I used to wear all black all the time. I did not even own any other color. About six months ago, I decided I would start wearing some. Now I basically never wear black, and dress in bright colors all the time. I don't care if they're not slimming - wearing bright colors makes me feel happy and pretty. It's just so much fun.
