Sounds like you've been a busy little bee. Proud of you for getting rid of all the bad things afterwards, thats great. Even though the scale is stuck it sounds like you're on the right path and its just a matter of time til i starts decreasing again. Its amazing how those little bumps in the road can seem to set you back more then you ever thought. I actually overate quite a bit this last weekend and likely will be trying to fix it all week. Time will tell. Family gatherings are generally a lot of fun but can be stressful too. Hope the rest of your time was taken up with a bit of relaxation though that seems a rare commodity for a lot of people these days. :D

So well done on your party, m'dear. I know how the stress of these things can make you spiral. Chin up and moving onward. I've been thinking you should hire yourself some hot trainer again to kick your ass. What do you think? :::hopeful look:::

Today is recovery day. My back is in so much pain, it's not funny. From lifting and moving plates (large ones), small stuff from the storage cabinet, Chairs, you name it. I got up this morning and could hardly walk. Actually pulled out the heating pad- not much help, really.

Spent the day walking around w my mom, shopping for stuff she needed (SAS shoes) and just spending time together.

Mike- TY for the recipe! Will try it one of these days. I haven't cooked much in years and have bit of a mental block from starting. Or just lazy?....

Bethy- will try the broccoli! Sorry, no leftover whitefish salad, gave it away. My only way against temptation is abstinence.

Michelle, thank you, thank you. I am getting better.

Jeff, DUDE! You are always a special guest. I think you are right, numbers aside, I am on the right path, learning to eat like a thin person. Every little thing can hold me back, same as you, but in the long run, even the bumps get smaller and smaller as I am more aware and don't want to go backwards.

Chris, Lisa, hope things are good!

NY was muggy and hot today. Felt like August, really. My building hasn't turned on the A?C. Yuck.

Watched the ritual Voice w DS and then Smash. We are both addicts.

Any of you into it?

OMG! I LOVE the Voice and still am in shock that the stupid Blake kicked off Jordis!! SERIOUSLY!??????? What did you and Michael think of that Judi? She has an amazing voice and that littly country girl rubs me the wrong way!!!!! Sorry... have to vent because I'm still pissed off!!

Anyway, hope your back is better and it's not too hot for you without A/C today. Here is really nice. Enjoying spring. Love spring!!

Well, Lisa, we are still in shock that Christina let Jesse go, instead of the girl w the blue eyes who sang off key. Can't believe these guys. I presume some politics may be at stake. We all love Jeremy, who has a great voice and just may possibly win. Jordas was also a weird pick for sure. Too bad.

Don't you watch Smash? We are addicted. It's spectacular and fun- a show about how to make a musical, and really a musical in disguise. We saw here a great show, "nice work if you can get it", after the Gershwin tune- built around all Gershwin music w a funny and witty and light story line that is very entertaining. If it comes to Canada, go see it- or better yet, come to NY and see it here! Then, we can go out to dinner! (SB of course)

Wt is down to 166, I am very relieved as I was worried about water after all the salty tastings on Sunday. But it's OK as I ate very lightly yesterday and drank a lot of water. So slowly, very very slowly, but things are moving a little.

I am spending time w my mom who is visiting until the 25th, this week every night is another concert or show, once a year I go all out for her to give her a good time. She picks most of what she wants to see, but usually it's really great choices, from opera to classical music to Broadway, and gives ME a chance to got out as well. Tonight, concert; Thur, "Wicked"; Fri, Death of a Salesman; Sun, Warhorse, and I got her tx w DS for Wd for the Gershwin show, as it's exceptional.

Wow. What will I do when all the action is over and she goes home?...It will be too quiet...:-)

Off to the bath to warm up my back and then a pain pill- I have to work today!

Wishing all a beachy day- it's nice weather here, less humid. Yesterday it turns up it was up to 88 F!

All those wonderful converts and shows! [wistful sigh] I miss NYC, I have so much fun when I visit there. Maybe I need to start planning another trip for next year.

Hey Judi,

I am glad that your little bump up resolved itself. I always figured I ate something salty and it usually took a couple of days and a lot of water to get rid of the bloat. Enjoy your mom's visit and all the fun things you have planned to do with her!

Take care,
Mary Ann

JH- you're gonna fall right off the page! If you and your mother bump into any Mozart balls on your outings, will you split yours with me? Happy Death of a Salesman night. Are you still hearing Summertime in your head from wednesday or did Rhapsody wash it out?

Thank you for the bump!

Bethy, I LOVE Mozart chocolates. My mom brough DS some, I am staying out of his room where he keeps it. Only so much temptation I can bear.

Gershwin is history- last night we saw Wicked. Wow, those voices! Great production and a nice story. So much talent out there.

Tonight, Salesman. Tomorrow, Porgy and Bess (yes, this is Gershwin week). Sunday, Warhorse. Next week- nothing :(

Mom is leaving Wd night. I am sort of worried with all the empty time once she does...

I have been OK but eating a little more than before the past two days. Afraid to step on the scale. Don't want to psych myself out. I will have to get myself a racehorse like Bethy and Mike.

Weigh loss is craaaaawwwwwliinnnnggggg sloooooowwwwwwwlyyyyyyy. For someone impatient like me, it's not easy. YUCK.

Happy Fri to all

I will pick a racehorse for you JH. You must be a sensitive mare who was Mother to a champion and had delicate ankles and a finely scupted head. Let me think about it. :D
I'll think of one for you, Sharley, too. Someone spirited, maybe with a twisty streak, not easy to manage, but with a huge will to run, great speed and power.

Bethy you are sounding less like a horse and more like a breeder. You scare me.

Judi, I know you're marathoning today again, but remember, next week you'll wish you'd been a little less willing to pop that little something something into your mouth. Not meaning to be a party pooper, just a gentle reminder it's a way of life, not a hobby. :)

Much love,
