So has she stabbed you in your sleep yet???   Does she have weight to lose or are you just looking out for her health? Just curious.

Hoping this weekend was better for you than last. I too ate too much this weekend and not sure why. I felt like I needed to just have an 'off' day (or 2 days) so I did. Now I'm prepping for a good beachy week.

Have a good one Jeff.

Just dropping a quick line. Working a good bit of overtime again lately while moving into the new house so my eating has taken a serious blow this past week or two and the gym monday actualy read 254 on the scale, yikes. Thats okay though will just take it one step at a time, thats all i can do right? She is eating right because she wants to lose a few pounds, not really for health reasons. Sharley, Mike you're both right...enjoy it wihle you can i dont say that too often, or maybe i do and its just buried in those repressed memories :D Thanks for dropping by Smay, great to see you and thanks for the congrats even though im 4 pounds higher then that now! haha. Yeah i know im a lot less fun, still a little fun though i hope :D Will talk to everyone more soon since it should slow donw a bit.

Chris i can honestly say eating my veggies is one of the biggest problems for me lately. Though im able to rectify it for the most part. Sams club had 36 packs of V8 on sale for like 9 bucks which is dirt cheap so i bought a few, drinking 2 a day im good for the next 3 months of veggies. I used to not like the taste of V8 unless i modified it, now i still chug it down but its not nearly as bad.

Frylnrina, almost called you fry but wasnt sure if that was okay, the only way to motivate yourself in my opinion is to realize just how badly you want something and push yourself towards it each and every day. If you dont WANT something bad enough its hard to get motivated at all, at least consistently. One morning i woke up and hated my body, i dont mean just something i said when i looked in the mirror but hated it all through the day. Right then and there i told myself id had enough. Over the next 6 months i made a beeline weight wise down 60-70 pounds and now its coming off a little at a time because i dont mind slipping up from time to time it seems. I can make all the excuses in the world but being that im semi-happy where im at, its much harder on a daily basis to have that unshakable determination I had in the beginning.

You're right Jeff. You have to want it bad enough to get motivated and make the change. Problem with me is I get motivated to get the last 10 off, but then it doesn't happen and I get discouraged... blah!! Oh well, at least I know I'm living a healthy lifestyle, even if my body isn't doing what I want it to do...

Yeah lisa i cant even say im in the same boat as you because i see it come off when i stick to it completely and i still dont seem to stick to it. Mind you i stick to it enough to where my weight is always around the same place, but thats not good enough. I actually decided as of yesterday, no more excuses, no more eating an unhealthy meal because its the easy thing to do, no more snacks during the day that arent on the plan. My cardio has taken quite a hit recently too. Though i was still doing my weightlifting religiously because i actually enjoy it, i lowered down to doing the elliptical for 20 minutes like twice a week. for me, that is unacceptable and will return to doing it five days a week for AT LEAST 30 minutes per session. Seeing all the new faces around on the forums after it being dead for so long has reinspired me. After all, i only have what? 25 pounds to go til my goal? after losing what i have it seems such a small number. Full steam ahead, no stops until i get to goal. I may be exhausted from all my classes and working, but i wont let it get in my way, not this time.

Yes, while I am in a different place I understand. I have to find and fix the leaks as well. And I have to find a way to get some exercise. Maybe cut down one daily visit to this site and just walk around the block for starters!

(Jeff ate a turkey baron  )
I have been thinking about something to boost my milk. I will investigate that gold standard whey.
If JEFF eats it, you know it's gotta be good for you :D .

I sure did bethy, cause regular turkey just isnt good enough for me. Nobility only!

As for gold standard whey its mainly if you're lacking protein and is more of a fitness supplment which i know SBD is about all natural foods ect, and I take it so i can maintain as much muscle as possible while losing weight. Not cheap though, a months supply is 45 where i get it, 89.99 normally. Being on phase 2 why not play around with different types of fruit smoothies? Almost all of them you're able to use non fat yogurt or milk and they easily incorporate fruit servings? For the longest time i was having a strawberry and banana smoothie with my breakast and just cut out one of the fruits i had for a snack.

Mike, everyone is different and you have to do what is right for you, as you well know. Exercise doesnt have to come in the form of visits to the gym, When i first started i struggled to get in any cardio and i did my little bit but then lots of little things add up. For example, you go to the grocery store? Park in the far corner, theres a few minutes extra walking to the store and back as well, If its only for a few things, grab a basket instead of a cart, you just added weight training into your walking. Go for a wlak around the block like you said, take stairs instead of an elevator. What worked for me in the beginning since i really was a couch potatoe is i got a cheap ragged stationary bike and placed it where i could see the tv. Played video games or watched tv while i was doing it. A little creativity can go a long way and make it so you burn a few extra calories too!

Good for you on the "no more excuses". I get good momentum for a month or two, and then de-rail. At least we have finally entered the holiday eating dead-zone. No random unnecessary candy and ridiculously large meals coming up soon.
Eating beachy since February 2010.

Thanks Jeff! I end up having smoothie for lunch sometimes, so I was thinking about a way to put some protein in there for before my pool sessions. I make them with milk, yogurt, strawberries and lime right now. Or with cucumber instead of the strawberries. (Not a banana fan.) I know people put in flax seeds and peanut butter, but I already get abundant seeds and (ahem) nuts. Maybe silken tofu or a *sample* size of whey protein if I can find one.
(Mike did walk those two miles at lunch that time. I reckon BW3's must be one mile from the fortress.)

No, but like a true FatBoy, my two mile route at the office uses waypoints that are local eateries! LOL (You walk down this road to the Pub, turn left and go til you get to the fried fish place, turn left and go til you get to the italian restaurant with the red awning, and cut back over toward the office.) See, even my exercise is centered around food!

I am doomed.
