Hi Happymo4 - you are right... the fringe benefits from SB are great! The Black Bean Brownie can be found in the recipe area but I have no idea how to link so here it is:

Chocolate Black Bean Brownies

1 can black beans (can use white beans instead), drained, rinsed well, grinded up
1/2 cup lite ricotta cheese
4 large eggs (or substitute some eggwhite instead of all straight eggs)
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (good quality)
3 tbsp. vanilla
3 tbsp olive oil
3/4 - 1 c. Splenda
Optional: dark/semisweet chocolate chips (handful or 2)

Make sure to grind the beans first if you're using a hand mixer. A blender will probably do it for you. Mix all ingredients at high speed. Pour into a sprayed 8 x 8 pan. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes - check with a toothpick. I use waxed paper with oil on it so it's easy to get them out. Cut up and enjoy.

I freeze after a couple of days and always eat with cool whip. It took making these 3 x to get these super great! My DH was just sitting beside me eating 2 BBB heated with ice cream and caramel sauce on top... LOL :twisted:

Today was a good day. Weighed in this morning and lost the 1 1b I gained last week so back to the -10 point again. Hoping to kick in the exercise this week and keep drinking more water... hopefully have a loss next week to break past the 10 1b point.

B: 1 egg/eggwhite, peppers/onion, lf ham, lf cheese;
L: green salad with chick peas, lf cheese, low sugar dressing, 1/4 c ww pasta with x-lean veggie meat sauce
S: nf latte, apple, P2 choc chip muffin;
D: green salad, x-lean taco ground beef, lf cheese with low sugar dressing, handful of ww tortilla chips with salsa
S: BBB with lf cool whip
Exercise: 30 minute brisk walk

Have a good one!

Ha ha!! My journal area was spammed by some poster posting 10 or more really weird messages in my journal about different drugs!! I sent Redrox a message asking him to delete them... which he did, but didn't delete my swearing post! Too funny... :lol:

So I've been really busy the last 2 days. Yesterday was a good day. I went to the gym last night and did yoga/pilates which felt great! Haven't been for a few weeks because of my sickness.

Wednesday:

B: 1 egg/eggwhite scrambled with WW toast and lf cheese;
L: Wendy's green salad with low sugar dressing, chili, sour cream;
S: apple, 2 PB cookies
D: green salad with x-lean taco meat, low sugar dressing, lf cheese, 1/2 cup nf milk;
S: BBB with lf cool whip
Exercise: 20 minute walk at lunch; 25 minute run/walk -fast- treadmill at gym followed by 45 min yoga/pilates class (felt great!)

Will post today's intake tonight from home. :D

Thank you Beaching it for the recipe. I know it takes time to write out; that was so sweet! :) That extra post was confusing but actually pretty funny. :D Your journal looks like you are doing awesome! I need to start posting my daily food. I keep thinking that it would take too long but I think it will make me more accountable. You should be so proud of yourself because your diet is soo healthy. I love yoga and pilates. It makes me feel so good about myself, especially when i have eaten well. Keep having such great days!

Thanks guys. I do find posting my food intake every day keeps me accountable and gives me a place to call 'all mine' here on this site. It's also fun when people like you guys post in here on my progress - very cool!

Today was another good day. We had a potluck lunch at work today which can be very dangerous... but I decided that if I wanted a dessert, I would have to make something SB friendly. So yesterday, my 4 year old and I made the P2 banana loaf. It went over well at the potluck and tasted great!

B: 1 egg/eggwhite omelette with peppers/onion, lf ham, lf cheese;
L: green salad with a lite yummy dressing, cheese, ham, 2 small meatballs, small helping of chili, small piece of ww bread, 1 piece banana loaf;
S: apple, lf cheesestring;
D: green salad with 1 large hot dog and 1 ww pita with lf cheese, low-sugar dressing, 1C ff milk;
S: fudgsicle/PB frozen treat

Hope you're all having a great day. :D

Today was another good day. Left work early and went for a 1 hour massage... heaven! It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so we have 3 days off. Time to decorate for Halloween and get those pumpkins. The kids are excited.

Today my jeans felt extra comfortable at work and my back felt much leaner during my massage. 8) Funny the things we notice, eh?

B: 1 egg/eggwhite omelette, with peppers/onion, lf cheese, lf ham;
L: green salad with chick peas, low sugar dressing, 1/2 c ww pasta with x-lean veggie meat sauce;
S: nf latte with apple; bbb with lf cool whip
D: lebanese salad with feta cheese, oil & vinegar dressing, chicken, garlic sauce, ww pita;
S: fudgsicle/PB frozen treat.

Tomorrow I'm going to the gym since my parents are taking the kids for the entire afternoon... yay!!!! Hope you're all having a great day on the beach. :)

Today was okay. The kids went to my parents for lunch/afternoon which gave us a great break. I didn't feel that great when I woke up (my cold is still hanging on after 7... yes... 7 weeks!!!) So I went back to the doctor and she finally gave me antibiotics and another round of cough medicine to help me not cough during my sleep... hopefully this is all I need to get 100% healthy again. I hope I don't get H1N1 flu next. :roll:

B: 1 egg/eggwhite scrambled with ww toast and lf cheese;
L: Subway green salad with grated cheese, grilled chicken, ranch dressing on the side;
S: 2 PB cookies, apple
D: Slight cheat - premeditated... we order thai food from our favourite place but I didn't eat the rice and kept everything to a minimum... although I'm feeling fuller than usual after dinner so probably ate a wee bit too much... all that to say, this is what I ate:
Pad Thai (egg noodles with shrimp, egg, chicken); chicken / small potato curry; beef with mixed veggies (lots); 2 (small) shrimp rolls (deep fried... oops).
S: none because I'm full from dinner;
Exercise: brisk 40 minute walk outside on a beautiful fall day.

I really enjoyed my dinner. It was a change from the regular and I think I did quite well with it. We have left overs so I may have a smaller amount tomorrow for dinner... we'll see.

Hope you're enjoying the weekend.

Hi You !
Sounds like you had a great "no kids" day ???
As far as your lunch goes............we NEED to learn how to manage our food .....and having it at home makes it a little easier..............! I am betting that PRIOR to the beach your meal would have been very different. .This is what Maralian calls "Bendable"............we have to be able to bend and enjoy some not-so-beachy food once in a while.
I picked up the biggest Loser "Simple swaps" from Sams today..............I was amazed at how beachy everything is ! Plus the people from season 8 (this season) are even in the book.
*
There are some great recipes and lots of tips from Bob & jillian..........plus alot from the Losers too. If you are a reader..................see if you can find the book !
*
Enjoy the rest of your weekend............

Another good beautiful fall day here in Ottawa, Canada. Stayed home this morning and baked P2 choc chip muffins again... Kids love them and ask for them. I just have to stay away from them except for 1 a day if I fit it into my grain plan... Went for a family hike this aft with some friends and their kids. All the kids get along so well and it was a great afternoon. Ended up all going out for dinner together and it was really successful! Not crazy like I thought it might be with 5 kids 7 and under.

B: 1 egg/eggwhite omelette with peppers/onion, lf ham, lf cheese;
S: 1 choc chip muffin;
L: left over thai from night before - beef with mixed veg; chicken; pad thai;
S: banana, 15 almonds;
D: big green salad with chicken, bacon, cheese, chipotle dressing on side, few tortilla strips;
S: BBB with lf cool whip.
Exercise: 35 min run/walk on my treadmill (love it) followed by 5 min on my elyptical (hate it). Slow 3.6 KM hike this aft.

Tomorrow is the big thanksgiving dinner at Mom's. I'm going to the gym in the morning.

Today is Thanksgiving Monday and the big turkey dinner at mom's! This morning I planned ahead and went to the gym with my BF and we did a 1 hour Zumba class. How much fun that was!! It was latin salsa dancing and I was sweating my butt off having a blast! I'm hooked on that class for sure! Went for a walk this aft with parents, kids and dog, then the whole family showed up to my parents for dinner. I did very well I must admit! Had a little bit of potato but no bread and ate some veggies. Brought my own dessert and skipped the pumpkin pie. Yay for me!

B: 1 egg/eggwhite scrambled with ww toast and lf cheese;
L: green salad with lf cheese and tuna with mayo, oil & vinegar dressing;
S: grapes, BBB with lf cool whip;
D: turkey, ham, 1 small sausage; cauliflower with cheese sauce, carrots, 1 small potato, gravy;
S: BBB with lf cool whip.
Exercise: 1 hour latin dance class (Zumba)!!

Back to work tomorrow. We had a very nice, long weekend. Hope you all did too. :D
