Hello Maureen and MrsG!! Nice to see you both my old buddies!!!

So I'm ashamed I've been off the site for almost 2 weeks. That's a long time for me!! I have definitely been struggling getting back on track with the eating/exercising after I was thrown for a loop with that sickness. I got to spin class twice this week and am feeling more like my old self. Getting back to where I was before. This is a 'kid-free'' weekend starting at 1pm tomorrow for 24 hours, so I will be able to hit a BodyPump class and do some cardio.

DH got braces on his teeth 2 weeks ago and has just been a miserable drag since... which doesn't help anyones' mood around here. He's starting to feel better and eat a bit better - poor guy was in pain and starving!! So tomorrow we are going out for dinner and hopefully he can enjoy the food. He certainly doesn't have any weight to lose!

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm just getting myself ready to have the summer off work with the kids (9 weeks - yay!!) so planning lots of fun stuff and a vacation to visit family/friends in Vancouver/Victoria for 2 weeks in August. :D

Great to see you back, Lisa! We've all been struggling here and I think it's YOUR fault!!  Without your cheerful optimistic posts, we've been lost. Hopefully you'll have this weekend to get back to your old self.

I've been walking a lot and eating a lot unfortunately, too! Looking forward to seeing your wonderful menu posts again!

Ahhhh Chris, that makes me feel better to see your post!!! Well I can tell you I'm back and MOTIVATED!!! I went to Pump yesterday, and did some cardio... then spent lots of $$ today on some yummy, healthy, beach-friendly food. Just finished making a fresh double batch of black bean brownies, cut up all my veggies and made my lunch for tomorrow. It's a P1 only week for me this week and I'm READY!!!! Feeling very good too... I need to kick myself into highgear for the summer. Who's with me???? I'm visiting journals now.

Day 1 done! I hopped on my scale today for the first time in weeks and am higher than I realised. Wake up call. Great P1 day. No gym today but a healthy eating day and a positive attitude.

Yay, LIsa!! How long are you staying on P1? I'm seriously thinking of doing a few days myself. Need to stop eating junk, but weaning myself from the really bad stuff with Triscuits right now. Don't know if I can go cold turkey right now. Walked for an hour this morning, did yoga stretches yesterday, so getting better. Now if this rain would just go AWAY......

I'm definitely with you! I've been curious about those brownies forever. Kyan said hers turn out yucky. But you and Navy Girl seem to eat them a lot. Maybe bean brownies is what I need to get out of the chocolate and nut rut.

Hi guys. The BBBs are a lifesaver for me. Took 2-3 batches to get them just right at first. Now even DH likes them. Helps with chocolate cravings a lot!!

Chris, I'm thinking I will do the full 2 weeks on P1. I need it desperately.

Day 2 done and great. Got new spinning shoes and went to class today. They rocked!! Feeling good and strong.

You're back on track, Lisa!! Great that you're back to the gym. I know that on days that I don't exercise, I have no energy. Luckily I've still been able to walk almost every day so don't have to pull out my DVD's. But I do need to get back to my yoga stretching and my weight training - getting flabby!

Hi Chris!!

Day 4 done and good again. Not even thinking about veering off of P1. I was all signed up for my 4:30 spin class today, when my manager came in to my office at 4:00 and wanted to meet about something... so I didn't leave work until 5:00 - blah! Threw me off my regular routine. I will find something to do tomorrow after work and will also do a BodyFlow class Saturday - already planned.

Day 5 done! Feeling good. Jeans feel looser today. Got to the gym after work, did 15 minutes on the eliptical, then the 1 hour BodyPump class. Tomorrow I go for Tai Chi/Yoga class, then lunch and spa with my mom & sister. Feeling really good eating this way (as usual). Need to keep going for the 14 days then ensure I have a plan in place where I don't mess it up!

Day 7 done! did the yoga class yesterday and my foot hurts bad so not such a good idea. Went to a street party yesterday and just ate salad with a burger on top, kept it P1. Went out to a buffet restaurant tonight and did the same, except I one scoop of no sugar added ice-cream.

Plan is to go the full 2 weeks, hit 2 spin classes and 1 pump this week. Hanging tough!

Go Lisa! You sound like you're feeling All the Way Better after all those weeks of sicky crud.
(dance walk over to my journal when you get a minute and tell me if the BBB recipe I copied there is the right one)

Go, Lisa! Exercise those grumpies away!! I've been with you there this week, cranky as hell this weekend. Comes from being surrounded by people who like to sit on their a$$es and do nothing when I'm raring to go. We're in for a nice stretch of weather, so I will be out gardening, walking, and being inspired to eat VEGGIES!!
