Hi Lisa! That really stinks that you are so sick again! UUUUgghhhhh.....especially bad when you have to take care of your kids. :( On the bright side though, maybe you will be losing weight with all of the liquids you are drinking. That also sucks about your ligament in your foot! Maybe your cold is a sign that you needed to give your foot a real rest. I am in the biggest rut I have been in a long time. I get motivated for about 2 days then I lose it. My anxiety keeps getting in my way. I am so nervous about Beau's surgery this time and I dread sitting in the hospital and not knowing how long we will be in there. I also won't have my own kitchen which stinks but I have to concentrate on drinking a ton of water and maybe do phase 1 while I am in there. When I get upset though, I reach for the carbs and the stupid soda. I have started drinking it again and I feel so miserable about it. I know how bad it is but it is a horrible addiction. I also am soooooo sick of trying to lose weight and the cycle of being good and then being "bad". As I am sitting here venting to you, I just made the decision "Again" to just do it. I am tired of complaining and trying....I just need to do it. I sound crazy don't I? Thank you so much for always checking in on me! You are the best support system! :) Hope you feel better soon!

Lisa Lisa Lisa, now how are we supposed to be motivated by your insane workouts and good eating habits if you get sick so often? How selfish of you, lol just kidding obviously and hope you feel much much better soon. Everyone around me lately has had the sniffles and im hoping i dont get sick myself. It always seems like the only way I tend to get sick is when my girlfriend gets me sick, i knew she was bad for me!

Hi guys, thanks for dropping in and the well wishes. I'm still sick... it's been a week. Today I feel like I might be getting pink eye on top of it all so doing the eye-drop thing!! I feel blah with the non-exercise and eating more carbs and less veggies than usual this past week. No weight loss for me Maureen. I usually gain when I have a cold!! BUT I am looking on the bright side!! Tomorrow is a new day - I MUST go to work as I was off the entire week last week, and I MUST eat better. I'm not sold on people saying to stay home and do nothing as you'll get over it quicker. I did nothing last week, except think about how bad I felt, and it hasn't quickened things up. I just feel like a giant couch potato! So, onwards and upwards for me. I will take it easy as far as getting back to the gym. I may go spinning Tuesday if I feel up for it. But I will NOT be swimming in that gross sickly pool ever again!

I found a new smoothie recipe with papaya, pineapple annd flaxseeds... sounds yummy. I'm going to try it for breakfast tomorrow. I also bought some brown rice rice-cakes and will try some with PB for my snack. Have to pack a salad for lunch so there's no turning back. ;-) I'm motivated to get myself out of this sick funk!

Hope you're all doing well.

Lisa

Can't BELIEVE you've still got that crud! Here's what my anatomy professor swore would kill anything. Snort some salt water or use saline nasal spray enough that you get drips down your throat. Then gargle hydrogen peroxide, straight out of the bottle X 30 seconds, don't swallow any. Then gargle listerine right after, also 30 seconds. Morning, noon, night.

Hi all, I'm better and back at work this week, although still very congested, and very tired by evening! I haven't returned to the gym yet and probably won't. Good news is I'm eating VERY clean all week... so that's good. Back to very strong P1.5 I'd say. So feeling good about that. Went to physio twice this week for the stupid foot and think it's helping. Yay! Miss my super fun cardio classes - that's for sure!

Hope you're all doing well.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! I'm enjoying a nice strawberrie smoothie and some peace and quiet, plus I got to sleep in until 9:00 am.!!

So this week has been very good. Very clean, focussed, no exercise, but I plan to go back to spin class on Tuesday. Have been doing some stuff here but not too much at one time. Much much better now.

I'll try to check journals and say hi to you all. Hope you're doing well.

Hi Lisa! What a nice, relaxing Mother's Day morning! I am so glad that you are starting to feel better. I was wondering if you could do the elliptical at an easy pace just to get moving and burn some calories or would that hurt your foot? That is the first thing I go to when I don't feel so well. It sounds like your food choices are so good! I have finally been doing well for the [past couple of days and I feel a good difference already which is motivating me. I do have some damage control left though....uuuggghhh. I get so mad when I let myself go and I am losing the same pounds over again after I already worked so hard to get them off. Looking ahead now and getting out of my funk. Hope you have a great week and everyone is healthy! :D

hey guys, thanks for dropping by. It's been a whole week since I"ve been in here... Really busy week at work, still catching up from the week of illness I had. Plus went spinning Tuesday (it was GREAT and the moment it started I was so happy to be there), but then got the worst sore throat of my life Thursday and thought I was going back down AGAIN!! Anyway, it's still sore today but not as bad. Weird eh?? Anyway, that all said I have not gotten back into regular workouts with the illness, the stupid foot (doing physio twice a week for that), and just being so busy with spring sports all starting up for the 2 kids.

This is a long weekend so tomorrow, I THINK I actually have the afternoon kid free (if the planets align like I'm hoping), so I plan to hit a BodyPump class, and do spin class Tuesday and Thursday to get back into it. I've been eating super clean but I feel soft and flabby and I know its because I haven't been moving. urghhhhh!!!! I am going to do my best to change all of that this week - mind over matter.

The weather here is so HOT!!! It's like dead summer here this weekend. DS started football yesterday and today and the poor things are running for 2 hours with all the gear on in the sun... blah!

Hope you're all doing well.

Hi Lisa! SO awesome that you are eating super clean! I know exactly what you mean about the soft feeling. That's how I felt when I had a surgery back in March and couldn't workout for 4 weeks.... it was awful. Your muscles have memory though and they will tone right back up after you do your bodypump class. I know exactly how you feel too when you say you feel so awesome just a few minutes into your workout. That's what keeps me going back. I love to workout and am miserable and anxious when I can't get to the gym or run. I hope your sore throat is better and you feel back to normal this week, so much worse to be sick in super hot weather!
