Hi sh! Thanks for coming to visit me :) here's to your 10kg! I can see it coming, just around the corner ;)
I ADORE chickpeas, the ready roasted ones are really tasty when you can find them but as I think you're right and they're not all that beachy, it's probably a good job that I haven't seen them all that often!
I wonder sometimes how many chickpeas are 'too many'! I always stick to the serving size for a meal, but I can literally eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner some days! :D guess no one can accuse me of not getting enough carbs and fibre in ;)
Have a great weekend :) xx

Still hanging in there! Been away for four days. Not too bad, I think the weight gain was at most 0.5kg. Thankfully we could take our own food although it was cooked for us :-) :P so I could keep things quite healthy. What bliss having someone to cook and wash up afterwards- LUXURY!!! I did drink a glass or 2 of red wine every night though (chink chink Wanda!!) We did some amazing walks and swam in rivers (and the swimming pool) It was so good to go on a holiday and not feel like you have totally overdone it! I dislike going to a hotel which does dinner, bed and breakfast because then you (well actually I!) feel I have to get my money's worth - of course one never thinks of the hip consequences when one is busy using ones money so 'wisely'! LOL. anyway, will be back here in friday to post my weight loss - surely there will be some - even if it is the half kilo i gained! chesh. I made felafel - beach friendly last week. instead of frying them you roast them in a little olive oil. if you would like me to write you out the recipe I will because they were pretty good - esp. with a bit of tzatzki to dip! even the kids liked them!

Hi Sh! So funny! We commented in my journal at the same time! Thank you so much for being so sweet and kind and sharing your story. It really helps, especially because I am up at 3:30 am worrying... :( . Your holiday sounds fabulous! Maybe that is what I need.... Who cares about a tiny gain, you are living life and happy! Have a great week and thank you again!

Morning Sh! So happy to read you enjoyed your holiday. Just look at all the activity you had and someone cooked for you...Heavenly 8)

Loved how you've claimed a loss so look forward to hearing about it, as we know it shall be done! Gonna ask that you post that felafel recipe. Been roasting everything I can get my hands on so would try it and of course add the taziki dip :D

Wishing you a great day today

And it WAS done! I claimed my loss this morning! Yes, that pesky kilo i gained is no more, and now am working jolly hard to reach my next mini goal. the worst of it is I only set myself small mini goals (5 kgs - about 11 lbs) and i have been at this for 8 months and I am still struggling to reach my second one..... if i did not have a lot to lose this coud be appreciated, but it is due to sheer lack of planning, lack of discipline that it has been such a struggle. The positive thing is I am STILL trying and still determined to change my behaviour and attitude towards food and exercise. I could list some excuses but I will not waste time or space.... I have to do this and I will.

Yay! Keep going! That is awesome about the loss! You will do it this time. I started in August and then gained but I am finally getting it right and sticking to the routine for a longer time then normal which has shown on the scale finally. I think that I decided that I am not going to get so mad and give up as soon as I cheat. That is what I was doing before and I always blew it. Now I decided that I am not perfect on this diet and I never will be. I will just be more consistent. Your second goal will be met before you know it! Have a great week!

This dog is just more than a little fed up!! Infact i am feeling rather rabid today.... i regained that..... kilo! why, when i have been so good this week? i did have popcorn late last night with salt so maybe i retained water (as I also did possibly not drink as much as i should have due to being at a memorial service all afternoon)??? i don't know but I am very annoyed.. i KNOW i should not become scale obssessed and in spite of this set back I AM still feeling motivated . i also shrank my takkies in the washing machine so having done two fantastic walks this week i got the most REVOLTINGLY huge blisters and they popped so i was unable to walk yesterday or today. This arvie I might actually go to the gold course where i can walk barefoot just to keep in the routine. posting my meal plans over on SBO. today i had the yummiest brekkie which i must remember..... stirfried in little oyster sauce - broccoli, green beans, mushrooms and 15 pecan nuts. delish delosh!
kids now back at school , back into more of a routine but NEED to start studying for the exams.

Morning Sh!! Now you said it I didn't:
doghouse wrote:i KNOW i should not become scale obssessed
but glad to read afterward that you're still feeling motivated so kudos to you.

Sorry to hear about your feet; I know how that feels and it ain't good!! LOVE that you are still looking to walk just doing it barefoot. You Go Girlie on the focus  I had to take the week off from working out but looking forward to class on Sunday and starting again.

That stirfry sounds yummy too & will take this recipe, thank you! Won't do the shrooms & pecans though (DH allergic & I don't like pecans). Wishing you a Fantabulous day 8) :D
