Yippee, this week I weighed in at my SBO low so i have lost the holidays weight now. So far, total kgs lost since Aug 21 - 9.4 kgs. Whew it does seem slow but this is still at least movement in the right direction. I am now taking more cognisance of portion sizes and hope that speeds things along a bit. also want to try a few more meat free days. just need to get organised and cook myself a whole lot of bulk beans.

p.s. hiya mrsgjr! :)

i got some really bad news yesterday, not quite ready to share it as it does not concern me directly, rather someone i love. cjmeller, you will understand if you are reading this and may even guess what it is to do with. i know if i shared it might lighten this weight i feel in my heart but out of loyalty i cannot yet. i want to stop feeling like a drama queen but all my emotions are so raw at the moment. i need to be super careful of my personal addiction, especially now and that is food. anyway, just wanted to say something to myself to read often!! Chill, cheer up because you are going to have a great year filled with happiness, love, fun and security!! :D :)..... and you are going to be at least 20 kgs closer to your goal weight too by December! for sure.

So weigh day was unkind and unpleasant...... am i surprised? not really. i had to get on the scale five times, because at first it said i had stayed the same. i wish i had never got on again, but hten all the readings after that one recorded a gain of 0.6 kgs. i am actually so embarrassed because i keep saying right today is the day and then for some reason or another i slip up. maybe not the biggest slips (as they would have been in the past) but i am slipping nevertheless and it is hindering my weight loss. the worst thing is I KNOW what i am doing wrong and yet i continue to undermine my self worth by my destructive behaviour.. i get so mad with myself. anyway, i am still here so that is something. this year i have got to at least reach my mini goal and i will NOT GIVE UP!

Monday 08/02

B: tomato, red pepper and parmesan omelette
MS: roasted chickpeas
L: feta, tomato, chickpea, lettuce salad

MS: 2 x cappuccinos with friends
L: 2 ww sandwiches with pesto, feta and salad
AS: nothing
D: peri peri chicken breast, avo and tomato salsa, lettuce

Thursday 11/02
Weigh Day: GAIN 0.6 kg, total loss to date 8.9 kgs

Morning Shaunagh!! I love, love, love your attitude on this journey. Do not beat yourself up; you've done yourself a service by documenting these feelings. Now if you feel this way again, you can refer to this entry for uplifting spirits 8)

Your menu doesn't look bad at all to me but i'm no expert on this topic. Keep it up though as even if you stayed the same (going with the first weigh in), you remain focused on the big picture. As you said, a year ago you wouldn't be at this point to give yourself kudos for the progress you've made thus far...you deserve it

Wishing you a thankful Thursday and sending love and hugs your way :D

So for the interests of accountability - my food diary warts and all..... not the BEST week food wise - but the exercise has improved. if i have not gone in the morning then i try to go in the afternoon which really works up a sweat. It is so hot here at the moment. It has been a roller coaster week - sick children, a couple of disturbed nights with intruders so the alarm going off, and to top it all i have PMT (the biggest wobbly!!!!) Just feeling a bit darn grumpy! anyway, onward ever, backward never - except numbers on the scale. i was looking at someones before and after photos yesterday and she started around the same time as me but has lost an incredible 63 lbs ( 28.5 kgs!) - three times as much as me, i know i know comparisons are odious but gee it makes me realise how much better position i would be in if i had just worked a little harder to be true to the programme!!!!! This week i started to read Martha Beck's 4 day win book as i realised my brain defo. needs reprogramming. I have been thinking with a fat, low self esteem brain for just too long and need to break the habit. then another epiphany I had ( :) ) was that SANDWICHES have to be a thing of the past. RR said to someone somewhere that 2 slice sambos are a thing of the past for him - and I thought damn - and here i have been eating 4 slices of bread at times!!!! WTH am I thinking!??!??!?!?!!? anyway, this is now something i must take on board...... i wish bread was just not so damn convenient!
