Hi Maureen! Thank you :D I'm going to schedule the surgery in the 4th qtr so that I can do my class throughout the year and didn't want to delay.

Hey Lisa! Thank you too. Sometimes we are so on the same page in our lives 8)

So while my friend got her rejection notice yesterday and was told they are going internal for the position, still no word. I did, however, have a conversation with my boss that made me believe that I am being considered for the role. This has been a waiting game and I’ve been very patient and will remain that way until I get the final word. If I’m not the candidate selected, I will be disappointed but it won’t consume me; will actually be a relief just to hear either way. Pray for me please and thank you.

Spoke with my favorite instructor today and she told me to have some sections ready for training on Saturday. The wonderful thing is that the sections are interchangeable and I can make it my own! There are several rounds that we (students) don’t care for but others we love. I got some feedback from one of the members today on what rounds they prefer so going home tonight to put everything on my ipod and put me a class together. This is very exciting and happy that I can make it my own. She (fav instructor) actually said that she has only used the most current round once as she hates the music in it  . That encouraged me to do something my style and feel she would appreciate me doing that. I have NEVER taught a class so this is overwhelming but she did say that I have the form which is uplifting. Do need to work on some kicks but I can’t wait for my first class!!

Last night I gave in to that damn pie  . DH got some so that I can send to my friend in CA but got an extra one for our house. Why do they do that crap  ?! I have to weigh in every week and if he’s going to bring a treat home, it better be on the weekend. Will be relaying that to him tonight.

Have a Wonderful Wednesday everyone  8)

Was up way later than I normally am last night putting together my Turbo workout together. I did come up with some good sections but need to listen to the music on some others before I make a decision. Of course the round that they member told me about, I don't have but will get it! I'm becoming excited about this but also very nervous about being on the mic and getting the words out. Cueing is so very important and know that once I start, it will become easier but stomach aches thinking about it  Tis what it tis and I hope to be the instructor that I love 8)

Today we have an interviewee coming in so we ordered in pizza from one of my favorite places (Pizano's). OMG the crust on this pizza is just phenomenal...feel like you just saw the guy tossing it before popping it in the oven :D Had a 'decent' breakfast and put hearty homemade chili in the crock pot last night so looking forward to that for dinner. The house smells so good when you have something in that thing all night, Uuuummm

Missed my Shawn today in Hip Hop Heat but is what it is. Tonight I'm going to begin calling out the moves so will get some movement in for sure. Wishing you all a terrific Thursday and hope you're taking good care of yourself on the Beach 8)

1.13.11

l-pizano's pizza 4 squares, side salad, apple juice
d-hearty homemade chili, crackers 15
ct-glass of wine (didn't have the slice of pie  )
Exercise: none (but will be practicing Turbo)

Hi Wanda

I am sure you will do GREAT on the mike, no problems there. The name of the game for any public appearance is preparation and repetition, when I have to talk before any audience or some TV things I have done, I always verbalize out loud what I want to say, over and over, so that when the time comes, I don't have to look for the words and the thoughts hang together coherently. So you can - and sounds like you have been- do(ing) the same with your Turbo music and those cues, just do it as the real thing, and you will see, it will be no sweat- well, maybe the Turbo but not the words! I am rooting for you but am very confident that you will do great. And good luck w the job, limbo is hard but one day you can just look back on this time and know that it was temporary.

I always try to think that when one door closes another one opens, and perhaps the beauty is that all doors lead someplace, and we can be surprised how a new direction may be better than the one we were intent on. OK, now I am getting too philosophical for myself even, so I will just bid you a pleasant day on the beach and take care of Wanda today, please and thank you ;-)

Your friend

Hey Lisa and Thank You! Yes, good food is hard to resist and clearly I'm a prime example of that

Hi Chesh and Thank You too, 2 times! I just got my envelope and when I opened it, I was quite surprised :D Thank you

Dr. Judi, just my wealth of knowledge, Thank You! That is such good advice and consider it taken.

1.14.11
b-starbuck's iced skinny hazelnut latte, equal 4
l-skipped
d-chicken wing 1, few fries
ct-pomegranate martini, citron vodka & tonic 2
Exercise: Hardbody 60mins, Pole Dance 60mins 8)
*weighed in at 126.8lbs for challenge*

1.15.11
b-nf blueberry yogurt
l-steak sandwich, onion, peppers, lettuce, tomato, mayo TBSP, chips
s-slice of pie
d-park 52 buffalo shrimp, sm salad, blue cheese
s-mcd's cheeseburger, few fries (I was starving after the party)
ct-vodka tonic w/ lime
Exercise: Turbo Training 1.5hrs, Kickin' Core Ball Training 60mins

Before I explain the Pole Dancing class, I GOT THE JOB!!! I found out Thursday afternoon which prompted a massive interruption with informing some people, being advised who not to mention anything to yet, etc., etc but I got the role. The title is Sr. Project Specialist but will have 2 direct reports. This is very exciting for me and the package wasn't too shabby either  It wasn't the money that prompted me to apply but the opportunity to grow and into something I felt I would ultimately enjoy long term. Very humbling to hear from department heads and how this is bitter sweet for them, not to mention my boss. While I will miss working directly with them, they will still see me as I'm in the same office with some. The announcement went out late yesterday and already receiving congratulatory e-mails and welcome. Wish me luck with everything please and thank you (that was for you Judi  ).

SO the Pole Dance class was at Flirty Girl Fitness and was one of the best experiences I've had in a long while. Will be looking into possibly having a birthday gathering there I had so much fun. It isn't what one may think it is; it is a Real workout but you enjoy it as it's sexy. My freagin' biceps are so sore today and tomorrow my abs are going to be on fire from all the training today  And such is life but had a blast doing it...very interesting that pole, let me tell ya :P

I worked with the director of our gym today on Turbo. This is also why I've been practicing and nervous all week as I didn't think she was going to be mean but knew she'd be watching everything, making me even more uneasy. To my surprise, however, she said that I actually did good! The cuing will need work but I am saying the words which is half the battle. Got great tips from her so can't wait to start practicing for my first team teaching class, then on my own. She told me to hurry up and learn Turbo so I can start learning Kickin' Core Ball to teach that  That made me feel good as that means she has confidence in me that I can do this. I've got tons of things going on at once but they are all Blessings from Him and I open my heart and gladly receive!

DH and I are getting ready to go out to dinner then clubbing with a good gf of mine. She called me 3mths ahead and told me I better be there so I better be there and will be. Not sure what I'll be eating but will be enjoying the night to the fullest...and DD is gone for the weekend   See ya on the Beach 8)

CONGRATULATIONS Wanda on the job. AMAZING and well deserved for your hard work. GREAT For you. I'm sure everyone will accept it and be happy for you. YAY!!! Also, excellent on your turbo kick teaching. I'm sure it's so difficult to remember everything and say the cues. I always wonder how they can do it. My instructors are always so amazing and I'm sure you will be too!! Awesome.

Sorry, but as your SB buddy, I MUST question you about your food / exercise intake Friday????? How the heck could you do 2 hours of exercise when only eating a latte, 1 chicken wing, some fries and alcohol all day???? Lady... come on!!!!

Congrats on the 126.8 - you are doing super well all the way around, accept for your menu on Friday.

My cruise girlfriends gave me a 6 class gift certificate to our local pole dancing school, but I haven't gone yet. I don't want to go alone... but after reading what you wrote above, I guess I'll give it a shot.

   Lisa, I know!! It wasn't the plan AT ALL but things just got so busy around here after the announcement that I just didn't have time to eat  I'll be honest...I don't know how I got through it but had so much energy that I didn't crash until yesterday :P Thank you for your concern and yes, as my SB Buddy, you have every right to question me  I say totally do the pole class and know that I have a new respect for strippers  We won't do the pole class again though but will do the lap/chair dance and/or striptease 8)

Chesh, yes, they just now arrived. I had poor DH looking out for an envelope after you asked about it so he made sure to let me know when it did arrive! One down and one to go  Thank you again :D

Thank you Joesuzzi! I haven't seen you around here so happy to see you again 8)

Thank you Mary Ann and uumm, No; I will not be called Boss Lady

This weekend was surely a busy one and my body paid for it yesterday by crashing on me  Realized that I'd worked out every day last week. Not intentionally but between my regular workouts and practicing/training, I did something each and every day of the week. My body was tense also with everything going on so know why I completely crashed yesterday. DH gave me a muscle relaxer on Sunday night but early enough where I shouldn't have been groggy the following day. Well I slept until 9:am, which is rare for me, but literally couldn't wake up until around 1-2pm when I ate. After I ate, I took a nap which again, is rare for me and didn't get to Zumba or to DH's gym as planned. And such is life and had to listen yesterday and happy I did.

Enjoyed my gf's party Saturday but turned out to be a Ladies night so DH wasn't happy about that. He was such a trooper though and sat at the bar then came to sit with me after they turned it into a lounge. The place was nice but it was a bit pricey for my taste so not sure we'll do anything there again. Had our normal Sunday date after working out Sunday but went right after and I was freezing sitting at the bar as my clothes were wet from sweat :| All in all, a good weekend and happy that all my reps are out of the office this week so that I can concentrate on training.

With that being said, I will close. It is my intent to hit all journals today but if I don't, know you are thought about and Loved...Besos 8) :D
