Hey Lisa! Thank you for your support. I'm excited for your new gym as I know this will be convenient for you but spin class...you can keep that woman

Hi'ya Mary Ann! Congrats to you for staying focused and maintaining 8) I have until May 1st to get this extra weight off so 6 weeks should be a breeze 8)

I want to do P1 to get things in order but think that it's more because I want the lbs off quick and that isn't the 'healthy' way of thinking. If I don't get my s$%t together by the end of the week, next week is a for sure P1 stint. Yesterday was challenging for some reason getting back on track. Sil brought my favorite ice cream and we all concluded that it totally tears my stomach up; almost like a laxative  Sure did put things in perspective but already this morning wanting Mexican food for lunch and I don't care what I get, it won't be 'healthy'. I know how to work my menu to be healthy but I've just been eating what I want and not necessarily what I need. Yesterday I thought I wasn't craving food but I guess I am, if I'm honest with myself. While I don't have lots to lose, 10lbs is a lot and can't use the fact that the challenge ends in May as a safety blanket. Pray for your girl over here please and thank you!

You know I hate altering my menu so won't even document until this evening. Sil also baked me some chicken yesterday so that will be for dinner with a side dish, not yet determined. Will need to restock the kitchen with healthier choices this week and thinking about making a nice pot of chili to get things going. Bought me some popcorn yesterday for a snack when I get home. Wasn't really snacking before but feel that I may need to for the next few weeks for focus. As long as there are healthy choices in the house, I'll make it for sure. Trying to get a class in this afternoon as I'm off work tomorrow and have a pretty full day planned: 1) the cousin who was going to live with me has been locked up and has court in the morning so DH and I have been going for support along with his mother and grand-mother (my aunt), 2) getting my 7th tattoo which will be praying hands with Psalm 25:10 scripture through it (my aunts favorite scripture passed down from my grandmother) and 3) going to see the foot doc again. Hoping he doesn't have to do surgery but it hasn't healed at all and feel that the inserts have hurt it more as it feels like it squeezes the injury instead of making it more comfortable. We shall see.

With that I will close. Wishing you all a terrific Tuesday as we travel the Beach 8) Besos

Wow Wanda! You have a lot going on! I am with you in the fact that I have been eating what I want and not what I need. I need to refocus too. I have to say though, as soon as I read about your craving for Mexican at lunch, my stomach growled and I thought that I could cheat one more time! LOL! I am not though, I will wait for my cheat. :? Hope your having a great day!

Wow, busy busy Mrsg!! Happy birthday to dd, congratulations on graduation to dh, and congratulations on the imminent adoption to them both! wonderful news all round!

I see you continue to be awesomely inspiring on this beach of ours ;) those workouts sound like killers!! Well done you for keeping it up, so proud! I have to say that I never questioned that I would have to return to P1 with cravings firmly back and WAY more than 10 lb to lose but you sound pretty steady so I can see where your family are coming from (admittedly I am telling myself that 10lb is not really a lot because I must have gained that easily over last month - ouch!) and it will no doubt soon drop off again with your working out, just don't fall into the same trap as me where you let it slide MUCH MUCH further

Sorry to hear you will have to go to court, I hope that things work out alright for your cousin :/ fingers crossed for your poor foot too, nicer if they can fix it without surgery! On the upside, you are having your 7th tattoo, that's fab! What other designs do you have? I am waiting on df to gift me the next one I want, I found this lovely design that will look just perfect on my foot... :)

Off to document today's food, two days down so far and all good :) love ya! xxx

1.4.11
b-cup of coffee, non dairy creamer, equal 4
s-nf strawberry kiwi yogurt
l-skipped
d-baked chicken boneless thigh, spaghetti, slice of wheat bread
s-popcorn
Exercise: Kickin' Core Ball 55mins

1.5.11
b-cup of coffee, non dairy creamer, equal 4, egg sandwich on wheat toast, ICBINB
l-skipped
d-fried chicken 2, corn
s-popcorn
Exercise: none

My menu today was like it is because of what a busy day we had. I was honestly out of my home from 9am-5:30pm to complete my to-do list  And such is life so let me take you for a walk through my day:
1) While court proved to be a little more emotional for me than I thought it would be, he will be able to go home in 2-3 days!! I don't condone his actions and hope he doesn't get in this situation again, I hope he has learned and will turn this around. He looked alright (I was very concerned) and happy that he did see us there supporting him even though he was in the wrong. Thank you for your prayers.
2) Today was such a long day and happy it has come to an end. DH is cooking, as you can see he fried chicken, but happy that he cooked and I didn't have to. I missed my favorite Turbo class today for like the 3rd week in a row and was pretty bummed about it but I got my tattoo!! Every time I get a new one, the moment they stick me I think to myself, 'why do you do this to yourself?!' But then I see the end result and I'm pleased and know why I do it :D After he started and finished I got creative so will be returning for some shading but it came out perfect and what I envisioned 8)
3) The podiatrist is sending me to PT for my foot before we resort to surgery but honestly after speaking with him, surgery is imminent. What is uncomfortable is the soreness, which isn't excruciating but uncomfortable and what I want to go away; surgery is the alternative for that. Problem is me being down for quite a while afterward but feel I'd rather do it in the winter time than summer. Thoughts, comments, suggestions welcomed.
4) Talked to the adoption attorney and received another court date: 2.25.11. Prayers on the finalization.

Maureen my stomach growled when I read your comment! I haven't eaten yet and smelling the chicken and reading your comment made it do so  Good job on resisting; I did too...but really because it was too late for lunch after my workout

Chessie thank you, thank you and thank you! We all gained over the same time so we Will get these lbs back off  I have 2 tribal signs, one with 'Queen' in the center of it, DD's name with a rose and butterfly on the tip (she loves butterflies), DH's name in a banner with a rose through it, Japanese letters which spell 'Fairest' and a dragon on my right foot. All tattoos hurt but of all my tats, the foot hurt the worse but it's my favorite so far 8) I want 2 more then I'm done with the ink :P

DH just said to come and eat so perfect timing...right when I'm finalizing this entry. I may not get to journals until tomorrow but know you are thought of and loved, Smoochezz  8) :D

Hey Wanda, wow you've been busy!! Sorry to hear about your nephew but glad he will be coming home, and hopefully he has learned a lesson as you say. Also sorry your foot hasn't gotten better. Really hoping you don't need surgery!! So cool about your tatoo. I have 2 and they are definitely addictive! DH has many, but mostly clumped together in the same 2 areas, and he keeps talking about going back for more. I have a little 'hot stuff' devil on my hip, and a beautiful angel on my left back up to my shoulder. I've always wanted a foot tatoo and will likely do that one next.

You and Maureen are funny making each other hungry with your posts! I'm on day 3 of P1 and feeling GREAT!! It always amazes me how fast I can flick the switch and how much better I feel almost immediately. And the energy is phenomenal!! Love it.

Have a great week Mrs G! Praying the adoption is finalized in February for you all.

Make sure to ask if they are SURE it will solve your problem (big issue w back and foot surgery). Of course, pls keep me posted. Meanwhile, take great care of Wanda, and visit my jrnl. And easy on the exercise w that foot!

** I had to e-mail myself this entry as I've began typing it last Thursday, 1.6.11   :o **

Hey Lisa! That tat is going to hurt but will look great  Thank you for your support with everything :D

Hi Judi! Thank you and you know I will let you know. I did ask it fixing the issue and that is what will do it...not sure if the PT will do anything but gonna give it a whirl

I've had a good week mentally about my journey. Things are crazy here at work but I am still employed  I have to start practicing lots more on Turbo as my first class starts on Tuesday 2.1.11! Have been working out but haven't actually done Turbo in weeks as I've been gone or something going on Wednesday. My favorite instructor is helping me on the weekends but she is very critical so will be reviewing Turbo 101 tonight as a refresher. Need to take many o' notes so I can memorize the routines. Ugh...just overwhelmed myself but I can do this 8) Going to be focusing solely on Turbo for the next 3-6wks for sure so not sure how much variation will happen in my routines but will get some weights in somewhere.

Last night a gf had her birthday party and even though we didn't do the Chopped competition, we did the Wii Michael Jackson game and it was AWESOME!! The one thing I didn't like was that you have to hold the controller instead of using your body as the controller like the Kinect. Welp...that did make my decision as to which system I was going to get and the answer is both! Who knew we'd be so into game systems as adults but now that they have the workout and dance games, I think everyone is doing it for the movement and it's super fun :D

Hoping you are all having a wonderful weekend and taking good care of yourselves...all my love  8) :D

LOL Wanda on the games! We really enjoy the Wii and all the kids games. I always think with the job that things happen the way they should when they're meant to happen. I'm glad you had a great weekend. Mine was challenging. Tomorow's a new day.

Hi Wanda

Glad you are having fun! The Wii! Sounds great. Enjoy. Keep up the good spirits. I am just a bit depressed, having a bad time and mentally worn out, but in the end it hopefully will all pay off.

Lisa, thank you for those words and they have resounded in my heart. I'm trying to keep that in mind and now that you've validated me, I will begin writing the conversation I want to have with the boss'. Thanks Lady 8)

Thank you Mary Ann and Tammy for showering me with a little love...sending some right back to you both :D

Yesterday was a good day but find myself struggling to eat after a workout in the late afternoon. I know that I need to eat in the mornings but sometimes work gets busy and I don't have time. What my goal is to eat early and then have a snack around 11ish but what is happening is me just having the 11am snack. Last night in talking with DH, he suggested making lunch (if I brought it) before I go workout so that it's ready when I return. If I'm having a sandwich that could be difficult because I don't want it to be soggy but appreciated the suggestion. He made beef stew last night that was 2DIE4 for brought that for lunch and don't mind having it for dinner tonight again...and for lunch tomorrow  Got a good Turbo workout in yesterday and watched a DVD last night. I'll have to learn the new round for practicing, put all the songs on my ipod and truly listen as I think I have the choreography but have to relate it to the music. Wish me luck please and thank you  :?

It's reporting time so won't stay here long. My plan is to hit your journals today so watch out for me...I'll be cruising the Beach 8) :D

1.10.11
b-nf blueberry yogurt, cup of coffee, non dairy creamer, equal 4
l-nf raspberry yogurt
d-beef stew, hawaiian roll 1
s-2 slices of pie
Exercise: Turbo Kick 55mins

Just posted in a journal that I haven't had a salad so will just keep the stew I have here for tomorrow's lunch. That means that I know what my menu will be today, YAY 8)

1.11.11 (that is weird typing  )
b-wheat toast topped w/ natural pb & ICBINB 2, 2c coffee, non dairy creamer, equal 8ttl
l-chipotle chicken salad, pinto beans, little cheese, tomatillo, guac
d-beef stew
s-slice of pie
ct-vodka tonic w/ lime, glass of wine 1ea
Exercise: Kickin' Core Ball 55mins

I'm not sure if I need a snack before this class but I won't update if I don't eat it, will just document when I update for tomorrow's menu :D
**I actually edited this entry so that it is in line with the day**
