L: salad w/steak strips & PC blumenu blue cheese dressing
S; to be decided

Well we are off to a rocky start... on Sat. I did ok until my hubby surprised me by taking me out for lunch; still not all was lost. I ordered the steak sandwich, ate the steak (minus the garlic bread) and the caesar salad. - Then today, I wound up spending the whole day painting, except for when DH took me for lunch again. - had the veggie beef soup & salad.... tonight he wanted hotdogs for supper (fathers day thing) - so I had 1 with a very tiny bun, and made a bean salad to finish the meal off...... Considering all that is going on in our houses right now I am not doing horribly.... tomorrow will be even better.

Today was not bad, but could have been better. Took the kids to their swimming lessons, went to lunch at a pub; said goodbye to our guests, then had a nap. Drove my daughter to work, bought some peppers for the omelets, came home & played online poker.... and now am going to cook omelets for supper.

missed breakfast again(sorta) - remembered I had turkey pepperoni in the fridge; grabbed that and took it to work w/me - I was late for work so this was the best I could do. Had a shrimp salad for lunch, and am now making roasted chick peas to take w/me to poker night. still haven't figured out what to make for supper though...will probably make crab cakes or something like that...with a salad of course!

Today is day 9 for me and so far I do feel better...I have done this 2 times before, though, so I totally understand your restart issues. It is hard when you are so busy with your kids and their activities. I sometimes have a hard time planning ahead and that is dangerous so keep it up and hopefully we can stay beachy this time! Good luck to you...

Hi Tracy - Thanks for coming by & offering me your support.

Today I had I modified version of a ph1 breakfast out of the new superquick cookbook. It was basically some chopped red pepper sauteed lightly then set aside, following which I fried an egg (if you put 2 tlbsp of water in the pan & a lid on it you get the same effect as over med without the hassle & it uses way less oil) and then put this on the peppers & topped with diced tomato... absolutely delicious!

the rest of the menu:
s: celery w/lf cheddar cheese
l: home made cream of mush & veggie with bean soup (added a little half & half for flavour)
s: turkey pepperoni w/celery & lf cheddar
s2: sf popsicle
D: sirloin steak - grilled; and I haven't figured the rest out yet.

yesterday went really well, I can't believe it's the weekend already & that tomorrow is the last day of week 1! My pants are already getting a little loose in the waist band (yay) and I feel really good. Today will be a little more challenging as normally on saturdays DH, the Boss & I go for lunch. Normally that means KFC or A&W (boss is cheap and needs coupons) Today my plan is to say it's too hot to eat that... I am going home for a salad.

Todays menu:

B: turkey pepperoni & celery (slept in - but had this in the fridge @ work)
S: roasted chick peas (keep these in drawer @ work)
L: Southwest black bean salad w/chickpea hamburger
S: macaroons from superquick cookbook
D: roast, roasted veggies, caesar salad sans crouton
S: - some tofu dessert (pudding) from superquick cookbook

Hi Goodexample! Thanks for stopping in at my journal...I think you are right about the SB flu--I had made some black bean brownies but have not been very good about any other beans in my diet. Thinking about making a white chicken chili for this week's lunches and it calls for white beans so hopefully that will even me out. Good for you on skipping the fast food :D Sadly, I had a McDonald's salad ( or some of it) and gave the rest to DH. It was worth it since we spent time with some family and one can't cook ( FIL) and Oma is not able to cook until she is healthier sooo...I will be back on track tomorrow which is the best thing about SB--it forgives me :D :D Sure hope your day is Beachy and wondering...when do you start new job?

?? - new job??? I am not starting any new jobs at this time.... I already work more than I can handle... My DH and I both work for the same company on top of being self employed...plus I sell Shaklee products on the side too!

The weekend has gone well. I made the silken chocolate pudding from the super quick cookbook... and I do not like it. It reminds me of when I was a kid at summer camp and they would have the monk dinner where you weren't allowed to talk & then for dessert they would serve chocolate pudding...only it would be burned & gross choc. pudding. Still trying to figure out if there is anything I can do to it to make it taste better... like maybe I will try adding PB to it.

Tomorrow will be another full day as I need to paint my DD's bedroom, and I need to go into the office & s/u the new phone system.
