UGH! The board is just NOT moving! It took me 10 minutes to get the last post up. Trying one more time.

So, I made the quinoa tonight. I posted about it in the food forum. I also asked for some preparation tips there.

In addition, I made my feta turkey burgers and a big salad with EVOO and vinegar dressing (my own). YUMMO. :)

Well, I'm finally getting to my own journal for today. I posted in a few others despite the board fighting me every step of the way! :x

I'm dealing with some water retention today, so I have nothing good to report on the Challenge thread.

Food:

Breakfast:
Spinach-mushroom omelette
Snack:
Yogurt with Splenda and strawberries
Lunch:
Salad with chicken, feta, EVOO and vinegar
Snack:
Almonds, cherries
Dinner:
Parmesan crusted tilapia
Quinoa (I'm trying it again)
Salad with EVOO and vinegar

It's been fighting me even though I'm on my SIL's cable connection-stuff is taking forever to load and sometimes it loads ok, it's hit and miss for the most part.

Lunch wasn't a lot today-A marinated vegetable mix I made out of shredded cucumber, zucchini, squash, minced bell pepper, red onion, green onion and celery. I poured some Italian vinaigrette on it. It's pretty good but I think I'm going to have to drain it some, I got a little happy with the dressing and I don't like stuff drowned.

Anyway, hope the rest of the day is great for you!

I just realized that I was supposed to try to cut down on cheese. Never did. I love it too much. :? I did stop eating breads (at least for the time being) and pasta (I never did love ww pasta anyway). Oh, my mom found some pearl barley in her supermarket, so she picked it up for me. I'll get it from her on Thursday.

I rinsed my quinoa tonight, and it was a little less bitter. I also prepared it the way someone in the food forum kindly suggested. It was much more tasty this time around.

I added some lemon juice to the egg wash for my parmesan crusted fish. It was sooooo good. That's a great recipe. I love it on chicken, too.

I don't want to jinx anything, but the board is moving faster tonight. Yay. :D

Just peeking in before I run around and get DH ready for work and then head over to DD's for a walk before they get up.

I think I got a workout on the last walk, I'm actually feeling it-or it was the strain of actually cleaning up around here-or both :lol:

Whichever, if I'm feeling something I need to keep it up so if it's not raining I'm going another round, hopefully I can pick up the pace a bit-short of running-I don't think I'm cut out to be a runner.

Hey, Barb and Chatty! Thanks for peeking in. :)

I'm afraid to say anything about the board, as I think I jinxed it last time (Right, Nessa? ;) ).

I think I'll make parmesan chicken tonight (I made the fish last night). I have leftover quinoa pilaf to eat with it. And of course, I'll be eating salad. I love, love, LOVE salad. I'm in Heaven at a salad bar place. My parents have a good one near them, and that's always where I want to go out to eat when visiting them. I don't even order an entree. I just eats tons of salad with protein on top (they have strips of cheese, turkey, etc.).

Anyway, hope everyone is having a good day. :)

i adore salad have it twice a day most days

and parmesean fish or chicken and quiona...
