Thanks, Amity. I 've decided to not do the July challenge because it's my birthday next week and there will be lots of eating out, etc... And besides, I'm just challenged out right now.

For instance, today a friend took me out to lunch to a crepe place that I love. While I did pretty well--salad and the savory crepe I had was a buckwheat crepe, I'm sure it was a lot of calories. Still, she is not a healthy eater and wanted to completely indulge--dessert crepes or fondue or both. I just told her that I wanted to save myself for my birthday cake. And I had only 1 of her fries. Yay for me about that--usually I end up scarfing up the whole plate!!

Also, my food was really weird today because Oatmeal kept me up all last night again acting really erratic and crazy--spooked by fireworks, I suppose. I hope. So I was hungry at 3am and then had absolutely no interest in cooking dinner so we just laid out what was in the fridge.

Sadly, I went over 2000 calories (this is just an estimate, but I'm sure it's somewhat accurate) so I'll lose points for that. It made me want to not post to my journal today, but that would have just compounded the problem.

S: Healthy choice bar
B: 3/4 c. Uncle Sam, 1 c. sliced strawberries, 2/3 c. ff milk
S: coffee w/ 3 tbsp ff 1/2 & 1/2
L: apple walnut salad, chicken florentine buckwheat crepe, 1 french fry, espresso
S: 2 oz lt cheddar, 1 peach
D: reduced fat triscuits, smoked salmon, ff cream cheese, lt cheddar, lt feta, sun dried tomatoes, egg white salad, turkey ham

I didn't think I'd be able to finish my 30 minute jog today because of my sleep deprivation, but I did. Super slowly, of course, but I did it. I guess it's becoming easier for me. I'm going to start thinking about increasing my speed.

Hi Heidi,

THanks for visiting my journal your words are always supportive and welcome.

Crepes place huh? Sounds fun and delicious. Good for you on making the right choices there. Thats awesome for eating out. The temptations of eating out drive me nuts and I usually overindulge.

Also good job on getting through your 30 minute run done. For me it seemed to drag on and on when on the treadmill. Always felt good once it was done.

Oatmeal sounds like my Bear, whenever it storms or fireworks he can't get settled and is up whining and circling around. I usually turn on the Tv and turn it up so it drowns out the other noises.

Well take care and keep up the good work.

Hey Amity! Thanks for checking up on me, I do appreciate it. :)

I'm fine, I've been slacking a little bit. Tomorrow (Tuesday) is my birthday and it's been one thing after another. Too much eating and not enough exercise but I'll get back to my healthier ways on Wednesday.

Okay. I swear I'm back today. I did not eat well yesterday either!

But I'm off to a good start today and plan to keep it that way. Even as I type this, my calorie counter program is opening and I'm going to enter my breakfast information.

Thanks for keeping tabs on me, Amity. You rock!!

Of course I know that, Amity! You're not mean at all. In fact, I appreciate that your support.

I'm so embarrassed. I did terribly today. I'm having the hardest time getting back on track. I had a great morning--ate well, did my jogging, and then even had a healthy lunch. But then DH and I went to see Ratatouille and it all went down hill from there. Not just down hill, but jumping off a cliff kind of bad.

I'll try again tomorrow.

Don't sweat it. If anything maybe it will jumpstart you when you are back on track.

So how did you like the movie? We loved it.

Finally. Had a good day today. I'd had it with my errant ways. I was making myself sick and really bummed out. Now I'm getting off of food while I'm PMS'ing (why do I seem to always do this?) so I'm not the happiest person in the world, but I'll get over it. I didn't count calories but I watched what I ate and only ate until I was full. I'll resume calorie counting and my reward program on Monday. Also, DH and I will do a week of Phase 1 starting in a few days (we didn't want our phase 2 stuff to go bad or to throw it out).

B: 3/4 c. Uncle Sam, 2 tbsp raisins, 1/2 c. fat free milk; coffee
S: 2 Morningstar sausage links
L: ww lc tortilla w/ 1 tbsp lt. mayo, 2 pcs turkey bacon, lettuce, tomato; healthy choice bar
S: 2 ww lc tortillas w/ tomato basil hummus
D: salad (salmon, kidney beans, champagne grapes, rf cheese w/ 3 tbsp. lite blue cheese dressing
S: healthy choice bar
E: jogged for 30 minutes, walked for 10 minutes

Started phase 1 today. I've been really hungry for a good portion of the day plus my TOM should come tomorrow so it's a real challenge today not to eat badly. I took my sister out to lunch and purposely chose a sushi place so that I could eat sashimi guilt free.

B: egg sub, 2 pcs turkey bacon; coffee
L: spicy tuna sashimi salad
S: healthy choice bars
S: lt cheese stick w/ tomato basil hummus
S: granny apple smith rings
D: turkey burger (patty only) w/ lc bbq sauce; salad (lettuce, tomato, kidney beans, lt bc dressing)
S: 2 healthy choice bars

I know I overdid it on the hc bars, but it seemed a good way to ease back into healthier eating the day before my TOM without overindulging in something truly bad.
