thanks dee..... yeah, that darn scale. it's either one of my best friends or my worst enemy :). i shouldn't put so much into it, but i do go by other factors, such as how my clothes fit and all that. i am so glad the holiday, aka "food fest" is over. i feel so much better, i can't say it enough. and getting back to working out last week was great. speaking of which, i need to get my butt off here and get onto the elliptical right now........
speaking of scales, it was kinder this morning, 169.5........i like to see those 160's.....though i would like to put them behind me rather quickly. i'm thinking something in the 150 family would be nice for a change :).
......i forgot to post my goals for the january challenge.....my goal for the month is to mainly get into the routine of working out and making it a regular part of my life. instead of the on again, off again relationship that i have had with working out up until now. i really don't have too much trouble with eating beachy, but i am also striving to keep that on track also. and as a bonus of these two, i am hoping to lose some weight and get healthier this month. i want this to be the beginning of a healthier me for this new year............................go pookies team!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice to get back into a routine isn't it? SIgned up for swim times so I hope to start that soon, with all the warm weather we have had lately we have been thinking of getting the bikes out of storage, Plenty of opportunities for that here with temps in the high 50's and 60's.

DO you workout at home most of the time?

jeff........where are you at? the weather here, Indiana, has been pretty darn warm too. it's a little scary. i keep wondering when we are going to get slammed with a storm. as for working out, yeah i do it at home. i used to have a nice little gym going. a nordic track, a punching bag, bike, elliptical, free weights. good stuff. my husband is trying to finish the basement so we got rid of our nordic and he took down the bag and threw out my weight bench. i miss that the most. i love working with free weights. so now i do my elliptical, the bike for a change (it hurts my butt though), and my 10 lb. dumbells. there is a gym at the university i go to. only $10 for the semester. i used to sign up every semester and then only used it twice. so i finally quit doing that. it is a nice gym though. small, but nice equipment. so maybe one of these days. usually when class is over i just want to get out of there and go home.
....thnaks carbqueen.........go team pookie.............

how funny...i had just posted in pubpest's journal how i came up with the name and then i come to my journal and see your post. i'll just do a little copying and pasting and be right back........
i'm back and here it is......... through the 20's to the 40's tomato was slang for an attractive woman. now before it sounds like i am full of myself, let me clarify. i love football and i post on this message board that is predominately male (as i am the only female to post there). my highschool football team's colors are red and white, and red happens to be my favorite color. and since, tomatoes are usually red and tomato is slang for an attractive female.and football should be smashmouth instead of this option crap (this is where the killer part comes in)....i became killertomato......
so skinnypeep, how goes the challenge? i'm still hanging in here. that sounds so stupid. like i have no will power, but i have to be honest, before i started this WOL, i could never hang in there with anything for long. there were just too many restrictions or whatever. but this, this clicked for me. it is so awesome and makes me feel great. now to get to the looking great part, haha.................i'm on my way!!!!!!!

i'm in a holding pattern at 170, it's funny though, i swear i feel thinner. and my size 10's are getting looser (is that a word, i can't think). i can't find my stupid tape measure though. so i can start doing inches. of course i bought it for that very reason and used it for something else and now can't find it. i swear, if my head wasn't attached........
i already hate on of my classes and it's only been one day. she had the nerve to ask us if we can stay over 10 min. to accommodate her because she has a class that ends when our class begins so it will take her about 10 min to get from one to another. any other professor would just eat the 10 min and have us start class 10 min later and get out on time. not this lady. all she does is give us busy work anyway. at this stage of the game, that's the last thing i need. so i told her no, i can't stay. no one was speaking up. she says, "just 10 min?" so i told her, no, i have another class that i have to drive to (it's in another city), so i will be late if i stay even a few minutes. you can have class, but i am leaving on time." i couldn't believe noone else spoke up. so we will see today. i'm outta there at 3:45, i am not going to be late for my other class......well, that's my rant for the day.....one more thing, go pookies team!!!!!!

I have always noticed that school is generally very inconsiderate of other things people have to do. They never seem to care about work or family obligations. I mean education is important of course but they act like having to work is slacking off.
So on a more positive note, what are you studying?

got the workout in.....changed my playlist and it turned out to only be 32 min 45 sec.....so i'm going to have to change it again. i shoot for 30 but like to push myself til the music runs out...just one of those mind games. i do like my music though, where else can i listen to tim mcgraw (salivating here) to narls barkly within just a few songs of one another. ahhh, tim mcgraw.....bbq stain.........i'm not even a big country music girl (not that there's anything wrong with that) but that song gets me going...and so does picturing tim baby as he is singing it............................off to shower and get ready for school........
