I have to brag for a half of a minute. I did my 30 min. kickboxing workout today, and when it came time for the cooldown and stretch I thought to myself, "I can do another 30 min." So I found another workout in my tivo list and did it! 60 minutes (well, probably 45-50 if you count all the commercials in tivo'd through) of hardcore kickboxing! I feel great this morning! It's days like this that I just want to get so much done and have all these great ideas, but who am I kidding, my kids eventually wear me down and I get nothing accomplished.

Howdy Pard!

I'm so late with posting today. I have been busier than a one armed paper hanger. I'm so ready to crawl into bed and just stay for awhile.

Hope you had a pleasant day!

I'm off til tomorrow!

OK, I think I've lost it. I wanted to track my calories for one week using Spark People, and I think I'm becoming obsessed. I actually scoured the internet for the nutritional info. on a fun size Kit Kat. When I couldn't find anything for the size I did some math to calculate my one bar. Turns out, by my calculations one fun size Kit Kat has roughly 34 cals., 4 carbs., and 2 gms. fat. I guess that's no too bad as long as I can trust the original source.

My grad. student dh, ad a computer malfunction (actually, a USB drive crash) and lost his last 2-3 weeks worth of work. We're talking lesson plans, annotated bibliographies, etc. He has been at the University until 10:00 every night this week. The kids and I decided to drop by with Little Caesar's. Due to that fact, I basically had a plethora of snacks to make up my dinner. I was in no mood to cook something so I rolled up some turkey and cheese, cracked open the Triscuits, and had myself a yogurt (I'm sure there was more :D ) My food headache is finally going away and maybe I can sit down and relax now that all the kids are in bed.

I'm sorry your day and your hubby's day were yucky.

I like to quote Scarlett at times like these: "After all, tomorrow is another day."

It is soooo cold this morning. I think I see the faint flurry of snow outside. I know that exercising would warm me up, but all I want to do is crawl back in bed with my book (and listen to my kids destroy the house). I will exercise though, it's just a matter of when. This may be one of those days that I sit in my workout clothes all day. Come on, I've got to get moving!

On a side note, I bought a pair of jeans a size smaller than my usual over the weekend! They probably wouldn't have fit, but they are the kind that has a little bit of stretch in them. So I'll take it!

Here's to Monday everyone! And week three!!

I am such a slacker. I have been so busy getting my house ready for all the company next week, that I haven't taken much time for posting. A thousand apologies to my partner! (I will post in your journal this week, I promise!!)

As for exercise this week, here is what I've done, and what I plan to do:
M: Cathe Friedrich Muscle Conditioning DONE!
T: 60 min. Step Workout DONE!
W: Pilates DVD DONE! Although I didn't much enjoy it)
R: 30 min. Interval Training with Step DONE!
F: 60 min. Cathe Friedrich Step DONE!
S: 60 min. Cathe DONE!
S: OFF!

As for food this week, I have documented almost everything in my SparkPeople journal, so if you are that interested I'll cut and paste. But for my own record, I'll just leave it there up to this point. Today went as follows:

B: Uncle Sam cereal w/banana
S: none
L: Homemade turkey sandwich on ww bread with cheese, tomatoes, onion and cukes. Garbanzo beans on the side
S:
D: Chicken fajita in ww tortilla with peppers, onions, mushrooms. Side of green peas

Until tomorrow then...goodnight all!

I cut opened my green pepper this morning as I was fixing breakfast, and there was a big ol' ant in the middle of it. At least I think it was an ant, I cut right into him. Needless to say I could not bring myself to eat green pepper today. So my menu today is as follows:

B: ww english muffin, 2 eggs over easy, banana, 4 oz. yogurt.

I did this Cathe Friedrich step workout this morning and I must be out of it. There was a time (granted it was 10 years ago) when an instructor could any choregraphy at me and it wouldn't even phase me. I know all the step "lingo" and could keep up with anything. Today I almost gave up! Her combos were hard!! I did pretty well, I think, considering I am just getting back into step. Hopefully, if I do this routine again it will be easier. It was a good workout though and I worked up a good sweat. Check out her videos or on FitTv if your looking for a challenge. I haven't found a workout yet that I didn't ultimately like.

Hey Partner! Don't worry about being a slacer, my computer woes have kept me off the 'net for the week. We're almost done with our fix so I should be able to start posting regularly again soon!

I'm on the school computer and I'm running, so I'm going to go hit my journal and the challenge thread then it's off to work again.

Cathe kicks butt! I adore her workouts.

This morning, my sweet dh asked when I was planning to do the major shopping for Thanksgiving. I told him it would be today after I worked out. He offered to stay home with our two youngest so I could go by myself after dropping 6yo off at school (then I could work out after). Now, anyone with kids, especially more than one knows what a chore it is to try to grocery shop with them. So I was soooo grateful for the opportunity to have the time to myself. After a 21.5 pound turkey later, I got home with a van load of groceries (hey! there was a sale on Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke!) I finally got to work out. I did a grueling 60 min. Cathe Friedrich workout, (I don't know what she has against my quads, but she loves her lunges and squats!!)

So I finally got around to eating breakfast at 12:30!

Week Four of the Challenge:

M: 60 min. Cathe Friedrich DONE!
T: I honestly can't remember what I did, but I did something I promise!
W: 30 min. Step DONE!
R: OFF
F: 30 min. walking DONE!
S: 25 min. Yoga/Stretching DONE!
S: strength training

Partner! I got them "low-down, I ain't got no internet at home, no time to post at work" blues. *sigh* And I was home sick yesterday so no neener-net for me then either. You must think I'm a real piece of work. Sorry, sorry, sorry!

Here's my stats for last week. I'll have to take yesterday as my planned day off as I was down for the count with a stomach virus. Not pleasant AT ALL. But I'm better today. *whew* Hopefully we'll be back on the 'net soon.

Hey girl!

I see you haven't posted over the long weekend either. Hope all is well with you and yours and that you had a grand Thanksgiving.

I'm back at work and I'll post my points later. I have a class now, but they are otherwise occupied for the moment. I'll get the points up today... promise!!!

Take care.
