Well, I know the little set-to in January was nasty - but the 2 parties involved seem to have mended fences and are posting in each others journals again. If that makes it any easier for you to come back - whatever makes you comfortable.

Sheri--things are a bit less "intimate" here and I kind of like that (I know I'm butting in). I have so much going on in my personal life that I don't have the energy for drama elsewhere. I think I'll stick here and facebook...I'm glad I get to see you!
RJ--SUNSHINE--oh, I how I need that and some warmth!

Getting fit one step at a time!

Glad to see you here, anne - hate to miss old friends updates. I don't get here as much as TOB - but I will check in on friends once a week or so. I try to ignore most of the drama no matter where I am - or to defuse it - sometimes I'm successful. But if people are intent on blowing up at each other, I stand clear. Don't like to be in the middle of it. Life is too short to get embroiled in a battle.

for me it's confusing... I know my on line personality is not "all" of me - and I've heard others say they are not the same in real life either. It's a strange new world of friendship on the internet - I feel exposed at times, while anonymous. And once it's written down, it's out there for anyone to see. In real life we would know where a friend was coming from and understand and accept them as a whole... here we see glimpses and use our assumptions on much of their personalities... I think over things a lot - and I can get caught up in my feelings about situations. I guess I just have to roll with it - I've never been one to have lots of friends, just one or two at a time - and the sheer volume of people you can open up to on line - and the glimpses into others lives is sometimes unsettling to me - as I said... I need to figure out how to take what I need or what inspires me and helps me - and ignore the rest... but that isn't how I usually operate and it's been a learning experience through the years on different forums.
