Tueday morning ... two days till JUNE 1 restart.
Thanks for stopping by everyone!
Took these words to heart today:
If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain.
I don't enjoy my job. Usually first day back after a weekend - I am a bear. My attitude stinks... on the ride to work today I decided I could change my attitude and have a good day! IT WORKED! I have managed a smile. Taking the time last night to plan my menu for today and tomorrow, make sure I had an outfit ironed and set out to wear - and a plan for my water drinking sure helped.
Didn't sleep well last night - so HOT and humid not typical for this time of year. Would have been a good enough reason in the past for me to just lay in bed and whine.... attitude is EVERYTHING!
Breakfast today was V8, 1 deviled egg and 6 oz. skim milk
AM Snack - 10 baby raw carrots, small granny smith apple and 2 TBSP PB
Lunch - edamame 1/3 cup, lettuce/carrots/one scoop cottage cheese / one spoon barley salad and orzo salad / 6 black olives / 2 oz. seafood salad - all from A&P salad bar
Posted this in the over 50 thread, but want it here to review when necessary!
.......it is about recognizing the thoughts behind self-defeating behavior that go on right under our noses. One of Webster's definitions for "decide" is to make a choice or judgment. DECIDE implies previous consideration of a matter causing doubt, wavering, debate, or controversy. We all have discussions with ourselves, it's just that most of us do not realize those discussions can result in a rather immature decision or choice to act in some way that is harmful to our well being. When we can recognize the self-defeating "voice" which is really a thought, we can do something about it before it becomes an action.
