Morning! Last week was suffering with a terrible head cold. No sense of taste or smell and no appetite to speak of. Feeling a little better but still sound stuffy. Shooting for a sugar free week of no white flour and lots of outdoor time. Feet on the beach.

Had a bad food day yesterday. Not sure why. Trying not to think too much about it but cautious about today.

Low food day. Need to eat more so my body functions better. So often it is about not feeling full or having a full belly before yoga or playing tennis. I need to time my life and my food better. Working it!

Still here and reading. Fighting a good fight with the food demons. Tracking my food is really helping me. I spoke with a nutritionist and found myself saying the words "When I want to be bad..." and then sharing what my favorite binge foods were. I also said the words "powerless" and "entitled". I think they are an interesting mix of words and quite contrary. If I feel powerless than how can I possibly have the power of choice "to be bad"? hmmmmmmmmmmm? Feels good to write it down and ponder.

Still reading and logging my food on Spark people. Miss journaling (talking to myself about my food issues) so I am going to try and be here more. I need to do more writing but facebook is too public. Food and I are friend and foe. At times I forget to eat and other times I cannot stop thinking about a particular food. So wacked! I am so much saner sans sugar and white flour. As always working it!

Thanks Susan, Jeff and anyone else who reads this. I really do read the forum still but feel out of it somewhat since I am working with a nutritionist/dietician at my yoga studio that prescribes more carbs than SBD. I am also working with someone who is a holistic coach starting next week so we will see how that impacts my daily food. Right now I am working on eating well.

I keep reading my journal from a couple of years ago when my eating was soooo clean. I want to feel that way again. My exercise is great but now is the time to work on my food!!!!

I made a goal to drink a glass of water before and after any Diet Soda, Diet Tea, and any cocktail I drink. Feel like I am floating away. My other goal is to try to eat something within a half hour of rising. So far I am 2 for 2. I am also keeping a Food Mood Journal to become more aware about my relationship with food. Sugar and I are splitting up. I plan to see less and less of it in my life. I do not need it and it makes me feel lethargic, crabby and eager for more. Becoming mindful. AAAAAAuuuuuuOOHHHMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm!

After a 1 hour consultation with a wonderful holistic health coach I am seeing a change with my relationship with food and how I feel. Drinking so much water is not new to me but my body is responding differently to the change of water when I rise, before and after coffee, soda and alcohol. Eating breakfast within 30 minutes of rising has an impact on how I feel throughout the day. That added to eating Beachy foods is helping me control my compulsions. Playing two paddle matches in the freezing cold today. Crazy thang is that I am looking forward to it.

Knock - knock - guess who!?!?!?!

Thinking about you a lot lately, and struggles we share. FINALLY trying to get myself in order.

OK - 10 days of eating healthy under the belt (phase 1 days!) - and about 7 lbs gone from behind the belt. Feels good to be back! Onward & downward!!

I even logged into my ancient sparkpeople account today to do some calorie checking. Apparently I logged in there a year ago, but hadn't done anything with it in about 3 years. Ouch!

No desire to be back where I was (or close to it) when I started losing weight in 2005. I hate being the fat mom. The fat Anne. The fat wife. I hate fat. Took my a year of my head wanting to be here before I finally made something happen. Why so long for my stars to align?

Anyway - working it. :-)

One of the things this Health Coach said to me WonderWoman was something she and I both had heard Seane Corn say, a well known yogi who came to visit a couple of years ago and we practiced at my College. Little did I know that this health Coach was here visiting the owner of Breathe at the time and was there too for this special guest yogi. Sean said "Stop shaming yourself for what your addiction is. Now is the time to hurry up, get cleaning it up, do not waste any more time on the blame and shame. Time to move on."
I am ready to move on. So glad you posted where you are at on here. Facebook is great but so many friends on there truly do not get the food demon thang. Here I feel safe to put it all out there. Losing the shame! Glad you are with me Sistah!!!!

Still here - still working it. So harder now than the first go - but at the moment I am surprised at my determination & drive. Nearly every day since Carter was born I have had that "today is the day" hope, but just couldn't seem to do it. Not sure what switch finally flipped for me 2 weeks ago, but am so thankful it did. Even trying to figure out some exercise options. Now to stick with this for the long haul.

You both can do this.

Lately I've been playing with French cooking, which entails cooking your butter in butter. Making a sauce with olive oil or ICBINB just isn't the same. But I did that the other night.

Sigh.
