well i got back from toronto and it was great!
freeways scared the sh*t outta me but by the end
i was a maniac like the rest of em
even took a trip after work one day to niagra falls
it was wet - dark - slippery and there were only 3 other
ppl there but it was really cool with the lights on it!

when i was away our computer broke
have you ever tried to deal with compaq warranty??
thought i was going to have a stroke on the phone with them
at one point.....

oh well get to catch up on everything now
thanks everyone who wrote while i was away - was nice
to get back on here and have messages :)

stayed on woe for the most part - my boss that i went to
see thought i was crazy bringing my lunch every day and i
am sure the housekeeping thought i was as well with veggies
and milk etc on ice all over the room

C did good while i was away too (as far as i know...didnt find
any wrappers anywhere...)

got pizza one nite after i got back....it was funny cuz we talked
about it and chose to have it on a sat nite
(which used to be our pigout nite on everything) so i assumed
that for the one nite we would get all the extras too
(chips licorice etc) and it was C who kicked my
a$$ and pointed out that we were just having pizza and that was
it....

and next day back on track as normal (wow calling this WOE as
normal...who woulda thought)

anyways will ramble on more later....got lots to say!!
gold's gym just opened up two blocks away so must go check
it out!

Hey, Dee!
Sounds like a great trip. Wow - SB fare on ice in your hotel room - you are one dedicated mama! That's amazing.
It's so cool that your treat night was modified to make it more SB-friendly. I'm convinced that long-term success with this WOE absolutely relies on these occasional forays into our older lifestyles. Maybe not the same quantities or items as before, but enough so that our bodies remind us how much better it really IS to eat healthy all the time, you know?
I know that I was paying for my fast-food meal for DAYS afterwards, and it will certainly make me think twice the next time I crave it!
So, did you sign up at Gold's Gym?
I'm curious if they have a good facility - my DH and I signed up for Bally's 2 years ago, and it was a waste of money. They didn't keep up the facility and I didn't like the crowd there. Ah, well, lesson learned. No more Bally's for us!
Have a wonderful day, and welcome back!! :D

Hi Diva

Thanks for visiting my journal - great to hear from another Saskatchewanian!! Appreciate your words of encouragement - it has been fun to read through your journal and you certainly are an inspiration in holding out on the donuts and dealing with traveling. I don't have a lot of business travel, but trips to visit family are going to be a killer.

Glad to hear your trip was good and your 'indulgence' night was only pizza - sounds like C is on your side.

Thanks again for dropping by to visit me - will stay in touch,

BB

Hey Diva!
Glad that you are back! Sorry to hear about your computer troubles...this work computer has been giving me trouble all this week. It will shut down in the middle of working on something, so I have to constantly remember to save all of my stuff every few minutes...I never know when it will pull it's crap on me!

That's cool about Niagara Falls, but it would have been a little scary on the dark slippery roads...glad you made it home safely, and I also wanted to congratulate you on staying on plan while you were on your trip! That's AWESOME! Way to go, girl!

I'll be back later to check on you!
Have a good one!
Kathie

Hi divadee!
Sounds like you're doing great. That's awesome about the new gym. All those new, shiny machines just waiting to be used - how fun!
I hear ya about Spinning - my mom is an addict and goes 6x a week, but I've always shied away. I always get the sore bum thing when riding on a bike.
Also - congrats on the 20 lb. loss so far! That's really impressive.
Thanks for visiting my journal today - hope you have a wonderful, beachy day!

Hey Diva!

Stopped by your journal as you were so very nice commenting in mine! So sorry you had a bad experience with the yoga DVD. I got one for my husband titled"Yoga for Inflexible People". He tried it once, then quietly put it on the bottom of the stack. I don't think he found it relaxing  ! Oh, well. I have the same reaction when I run with him. He likes to run marathons and I'd just as soon have my eyelids pulled down over my chin, but I keep trying. I have come to the conclusion that women with flat Flintstone-like feet and large bosoms should not spend a lot of time running about. There is just too much kabonking going on! I've decided I'm very much a penguin: very efficient in the water, but on land its, waddle, waddle, waddle, how far is it to the breeding ground?!?

Glad your trip to Toronto went well! I've never seen Niagara Falls, it must be beautiful! Perhaps one day I'll venture up to that neck of the woods.

Take care! You are doing great BTW!

jilly - agree with your husband that it's not for everyone
but got the stripaerobics a week ago and thats something
fun!! oh and i dont run either...too much bounce!!

bearb - congrats on the weight loss!! i think that is
motivation for sure!

zill - the gym doesnt open for another month
they just have the eclipticals and bikes up and i can
do my treadmill at home so havent bothered yet
think they are getting a contract of some sort with the
tanning place so may go check that out - nothing like
a lil tan to make the belly look smaller!!

kathie - how are ya? congrats on the house and the size 12!
woohoo
i am gathering from her journal that noone has heard from
kelsey yet have they? if y'all do let me know

so this weekend i went out drinking for the first time since woe
and think i went a teeeeeeeny bit overboard
havent been to the bar in years but it was a girls nite out
so who could refuse??
C has been falling off the wagon a lil more but think he has to
make a new notch in his belt cuz it is too loose so wont rag on
him too much :)
thank god the week is half over - i would be all for working
4 - 10 hr days and having 3 off....meh in a perfect world right?

have a parents meeting tonite for my daughters cadets
there is nothing more in the world i HATE than parents
meetings...but have managed to avoid these ones for 6
months now so guess i am stuck

I hear ya about the alcohol. I keep thinking my tolerance is the same as it was before SB, and I am sorely mistaken! Ah, well, we pick ourselves up (sometimes literally! ) and move on, yes?

Congrats on your accomplishments so far - you are doing so well and have a wonderful outlook. Keep up the great work - it's so nice to bask in your positivity! :D

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Diva!
Just wanted to drop by and say hi since I havent been on in a while!
This site was giving me trouble last week, and then weekends are just too hectic to try and catch up with journals...ahhh Monday morning at WORK allows me the freedom to be able to have a few minutes to make the rounds!
I know what you mean about being on here though and then having to work your A$$ off...same goes for me here! (I think Zill is right about the crack!)

anyway, just wanted to check in with you!
Take care,
Kathie
