SP- there is a recipe in the sticky but I use a different one that I modified from a post somewhere.
Curried Chicken Salad
-2 chicken breasts poached then chopped
-1 T canola mayo
-3-4 T FF plain yogurt drained(very important to drain it otherwise the salad is runny)
-1 small zucchini chopped (original recipe called for celery- I use zucchini for flavor and fiber)
-1 small mild onion chopped
-2 T dijon mustard
-1-2 T fresh cilantro
-s and p
-1-3 t curry powder(I use 2 t)
-1/2 C sliced almonds

Mix all ingredients together. Refrigerate overnight or for at least a few hours to blend flavors.

**This is my favorite chicken salad ever. It tastes so good over regular greens or spinach salad.

I am very scared yet intrigued by the grossout smoothie. I might try it when my BF is not around to make comments

Thanks for the recipe rg! I have to get a couple of the ingredients and then I will give it a try.

I'm going to start keeping track of the amounts of veggies and grains I eat since I hink i'm having not enough of one and too much of the other.

Food for today:
B: Moatmeal, Grossout Smoothie, coffee
(that's 1 cup veggie- spinach in the smoothie, 1 cup dairy)
S: woke up late so late breakfast, no snack
L: ham & goat cheese on WW bread, asparagus
(2 cup veggies, 1 serving grain)
S: almonds & apricots
D: maybe salmon and broccoli (actually Chicken Tikka, Basmati rice) :D
Dess: Tea, chocolate chips

Hey Karen!!
I think I saw in that post that some people do add protein powder. I guess you are trying to increase your protein? I got some Tofu to add cause I'm pretty good on dairy didnt want to overdo it. Not sure if it will be gross but I figure if you cant taste the spinach, then you cant taste anything.

Today:
B: Moatmeal, coffee
S: some nuts
L: leftover Chicken Tikka, basmati rice, coffee
S: Grossout smoothie  , green tea
D: chicken & sweet potatoes, green beans
Dess: choc chips, tea

Yes, Ma'am. I will do 180/60/30 (though I'm shooting for cardio 4x which is..... 240. eeeek. )

I saw another thread where Oldpjams was talking about long bouts of cardio at 70% HR. I really want to try it and see if it helps me lose.

I'm a little disappointed because I am still at 142 since December.
Not sure if it's a stall or a plateau or what, but it seems like I really need to ramp up the exercise since I dont really see any problems with my meal plans. The weight has gone up a little then back down but never below 142. sigh.

I hope it stops snowing by this afternoon so I can go Spin. If not I'm thinking Cardio Salsa.

Actually for SF, if you are doing only 60 strength you should be getting 210/60/30 (120+extra 60 minutes+30 min transferred from strength) make sense?
You can always do more strength if you want too. :D

I feel ya on the weight, can't get mine below 134.5...(hit 133 once..didn't last) and now i'm up near 137!..ick! i'd love to stay below 135, that would be awesome, and of course this has been since december too!

I've been chatting with Oldpjams about balancing food and exercise. I find that when I really get into working out I don't adjust my food amounts (maybe I'm still clinging to the whole "diet" idea. I know, I know)
Well Jams has been telling me about his exercise and food, and the guy exercises a ton and eats a lot!! So today I definitely listened to my body more and ate when hungry (It felt like I was eating all day!!!) and I did feel a lot better- not as run down and tired as I'd been feeling.

So, my dear visitors, do you eat a lot more when you exercise?

Totally does. I ate what I regularly eat for lunch, but I went on a brisk 40 minute walk and I was starving afterwards. Your body knows what it needs. You should listen to it and have a healthy snack.
