where have you been hiding out?? YOu're missing all of the excitement! You need to motivate me to get my butt into the gym...i'm sooooo helpless sometimes! Maybe i should just look down at my gut and that will be motivation enough. baby steps, right?? I can't wait to have my arms looking toned. They've gotten pretty fat here recently! ICK! Do you ever watch nip/tuck. There is a great episode in season 1 about a girl who lost a bunch of weight and had batwings, it was pretty hilarious (and disgusting).

So I'm getting a bit discouraged. The scale is not showing any progress though I feel like I'm doing everything right. I do have to go get a tape measure so I can get reliable measurements. I think I've lost an inch or so here and there but I'm not positive.
So I've decided to do a little experiment and just shake things up a bit. I'm going to change my routine completely from weight training and some elliptical to spinning classes and some WT. Maybe putting the focuse on cardio will help. Can't hurt, right  well except for those sore butt muscles

DBF and I were talking last night, and we realized we have 12 more weeks of being apart!!!! wooo hooo! Can't believe it's almost been a whole year.
The back story is this- we moved to SC for his school I found a job. I got transferred to Ohio. It was that or having pretty much no money so I took the plunge and moved. Now he is almost done with school and will (fingers crossed!!!) get a job. At which point I will move there.

Sooo I have 12!!! weeks!!!
Which to me sounds like a good amount of time for a challenge.

I pledge to you, Dear Reader, that I will work my butt off (quite literally ;) ) in these 12 weeks.
There will be Spinning, Weights will be lifted, and copious amounts of water will be ingested.

 RAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Stunning Gorgeousness will be attained!!!

Once he's here i won't have so much tiem to be a challnege leader..oh well :D (btw, he's in MT)

OH skinnypeep i'm sure you've already achieved stunningly gorgeousness! I know what you mean too. MY BF has done 3 tours to iraq, everytime we're supposed to be together one of us isn't....we have been long distancing for the last 3 years (almost 4). This is our first, and last semester together for a while. After this sem. he has 3 years left, and i plan on taking 1 year off (moving back home) and then 2-3 more years of school somewhere else. I feel your pain definitely....
Good idea on shaking up the workout, sometimes the old bod just gets used to its routine and is no longer challenged, no matter how hard you work. You'll make it i'm sure!

Ok, skinny, i'm feeling your pain, i've been working out extra hard, and gaining weight, (not alot, but a little) mostly its just been bouncing around! I don't htink i'm over eating, but it wasn't doing much when i was eating less eitehr. I know that if i stop the gym it will probalby drop, but like you i dont' want to do that! so frustrating!! and i'm seeing DBF in 3 weeks! ack!

Well it looks like we are all in the same boat!!! Long distance stinks!!!!
I miss him so much, but I also know that with him around I am much more likely to sit on the couch and eat all sorts of goodies that I dont need to be eating! I've already informed him that he'll be joining a gym with me when we reconvene because I've worked too hard to throw it all away. (plus it's good for him too)

Karen- he hasn't seen you at all since you've lost 10 lbs? coool! I'm sure he'll be very appreciative. (hope he's the kind who notices & compliments or he'll be in trouble  )

Misskt- wow that is a really long haul- I will stop complaining about my year and a half then!! But as time goes by I do get used to it. still stinks, but bearable.

I got really used to not having him around, and so now that we can be together its kinda overwhelming. Its not fair to him, but i keep trying. By the time i adjust it will be time for me to move back home! UGH! Story of our lives. But i know he's the ONE, so i'll stick it out anyway! :D I wish i could get my bf to do something. He lays on the couch eating bags of cheetos and talking about how he really needs to go workout! Well, at least one of us is getting in shape. He needs to before his health gets worse. Hopefully in time my good habits will rub off, and i'm sure your's will too. Plus he'll be getting the benefit of your diet too!

I live with my boyfriend and he might as well be in Iraq! Between his work schedule and my work and school schedule, we have to pencil in intimate time!!!!! I don't think sleeping next to each other in the same bed counts as a relationship, but school will be over soon!

I'm wondering if your guys' weight loss is stalling because you have continued eating about the same amount but are burning more calories from the increased exercise. If you increase activity but don't eat enough, your body will resist weight loss and stall. Just a though. Keep on truckin'!!!!

Misskt- I know I am sorta getting used to doing stuff by myself so when we're together it's kinda odd. But then we slip into our normal routine and then suddenly its time for him to go and it hits me like a ton of bricks :?

Tits- Don't forget "intimate time" burns calories too! hee hee. I know BF and I have basically taken turns being in school so it kinda stinks. It will be nice both having the same kind of schedule. (and no homework!!!)

You could have a point in terms of needing to eat more, but goodness if you saw how much I eat in a day  But the last time I dropped a couple of pounds was when I got a bad cold right after the last boot camp I did. So I went from lots of exercise to pretty much none for 2 weeks.
This stuff is confusing!!!

Well I weighed in this morning and was down to 143. ok ok, not down according to my ticker, im just being stubbrn with that. I'm not sure if before it was real weight gain or what. The scale has never been reliable for me. But it is nice when that number actually does go down!!!

The spinning from the other day really tired me out - im such a wimp i guess! But no matter hopefully it will be better next time.

I really want to be happy wearing tank tops this summer. I'm not saying bulging muscles, or extra skinny, just nice, toned arms. So that's what I'm shooting for.

My exercise plan for this week is:
M- Spin
T-
W-
Th- Arms, 30 min cardio
Fri- legs, 30 min cardio
Sat-
Sun- chest/back/shoulders, 30 min cardio

And next week-
M- Spin
T-
W- Arms, 30 min cardio
Th-
Fri- Legs, 30 min cardio
Sat-
Sun- chest/back/shoulders, 30 min cardio

I think that's doable. Any thoughts?

Some days and so motivated and other days it just seems so pointless. If I think of all the cookies, pasta, bread, etc that I no longer eat I feel happy and proud. But then I think only 11 pounds lost. I know it's worth it and all that, but just wish the results showed more.
I have 12 weeks till I'm reunited with the BF and I know that when he's here it will be harder to resist temptation and keep going to the gym. I know i will want to spend more time with him. I feel like this was my big chance to get a lot accomplished.
I really want to push myself to do something every day. (as in exercise) Between the gym and exercise videos i have no excuse. The question is will it make a difference???? :?

Of course it will make a difference.. we are practically in the same boat...I think i have a little longer till mine is living with me again...but not much..mid-May..and then , ya...its going to be tough!, luckily its the summer, so i'm thinking, hiking, bike riding, running, maybe...it will make a difference...i've been doing double workouts the last couple days, and I can seriously feel it!, can't keep doubles up too long, but seeing my bf in 3 weeks, so small deadline..trying to push it. And i just ordered some new videos...sometimes i don't feel like the videos do enuf, i've found one i really like, pushes me...having trouble withthe others..jsut need to work up a major sweat..so ordered Turbo jam..hopefully its good, better be! cost enuf!..ODn't worry it will work it HAS too, fo both of us!, i've been stalled, and haven't been feeling to good about anything lately...driving me crazy, but somethings gotta give soon, right? jsut keep swimming, just keep swimming! ya know!
