Hi !
OK, your hint worked...I just finished reading your journal and I guess what hit me most was this:
"Top 10 Things I won't miss: "

1.) My Muffin Top
2.) Laying down and STILL not having a flat belly
3.) Always insisting the lights are out AND the TV is off!
4.) Wondering if I am the fattest person in the room
5.) Expecting men to still look at me the way they used to...and then remembering why they don't
6.) Seeing a picture of myself and realizing how bad it really is
7.) Wondering how somebody so attractive could be into me
8.) Avoiding running into people that have not seen me in a while
9.) Wondering if I embarass my son
10.) Spending a fortune on dining out

WOW!! Except for #1 (what IS a muffin top???) it sounds like you have been peeking into my life and mind!! Isn't it terrible how we beat ourselves up all the time??

Also........looks to me that you need to eat more food!!!!! Veggies will fill you up without filling you out...and you can have lots of them ! The great thing about the beach is we do get to eat a lot of food............I have found if I don't eat enough food I will go right into a stall.

I think we are so used to depriving ourselves we are almost affraid to eat all that we can on the beach.............but we all know that starving ourselves is not the answer (Thank God, Huh??)

Big congrats on your success so far....you have come along way so be VERY PROUD of yourself!!!

It is OK to eat !!! I will check back with you later......Keep going girl!!!

Hey joesuzzi - thanks for stopping in!

I agree...I know I need to eat more. I always try to throw more veggies in, but just seem to run out of time lately. And yes, fear of gaining plays in there someplace as well.

Muffin top = that roll that hangs over the top of your jeans resembling a muffin top :D

Postby msmom95 » Mon Jan 15, 2007 6:46 pm

Up 1 lb today  , but I worked out a bit yesterday...so maybe that is why.

B - V8, yogurt w/ 1/4 cup Uncle Sam's Cereal
S - Cottage Cheese 2%
L - Salad w/ Scoop Tuna salad, 160 calorie chcolate bar
S - none (I think??)
D - Salad w/ Grilled chicken, 1 egg, crumbled bacon <1T Ranch, 2T FF Cool Whip w/ 1 T Natural PB

Continue to analyze my eating habits. Still struggling to get veggies in, however, I eat a ton of salad and try to make it the green lettuce rather than just the iceberg. If I could do today over...I would replace the chocolate bar with something more nutritionally balanced, such as nuts. This all comes back to being unprepared. As soon as I ate the chocolate, I had this little panicky feeling that I had to immediately eat a bunch more candy. Fortunately, I am getting better and better at reminding myself that this stuff will be around me the rest of my life so I better learn to deal with it without going off the deep end. So, a little success there that I did not let it derail my progress.

Still at 224...

B - SB Meal Replacement Bar (airplane)
S - Pistachios
L - Grilled Chicken, Steamed Spinach
S - SF / FF Starbucks coffee
D - Ok...this meal started off with good intentions. Typically, this is where I fall off the wagon since I don't want to list all this crap, however, in the interest of my commitment to hold myself 100% accountable this month, here goes:

Dinner - Salmon (large piece) w/ about 1T tarter(ish) sauce, Sweet potato (took the butter off..but still plenty soaked in), about 10 tortillia strips w/ about 3T artichoke cheese dip, salad with tomoto, cheese and crutons and 1T ranch dressing, 3 bites cheesecake, couple of bites of chocolate cake and a couple of bites of vanilla ice cream.

Good lord....it was good, but I feel like a bump on a log right now. Back to business tomorrow!

January 27, 2007 - ? lbs....don't even want to know

Postby msmom95 » Sat Jan 27, 2007 4:55 pm

Well traveling has been very tough on the diet. I didn't even weigh in this am but I know it is up significantly. Back to P1 for a few days because my cravings are a bit out of control

Just went back and read through my previous post. This is such a good reminder of why we are all here. I feel much better about my week of pigging out. Not because I did it, but because I know that getting back in track is the path to success. Funny how I write this stuff and don't remember half of it until I go back and read it!

B- V8, 2 egg whites, 1 egg, 2 pieces Turkey Bacon.
S/L - yogurt w/ 1/4 cup Uncle Sam's Cereal, String Cheese
D - Green Beans w/Almonds. 2% Cottage Cheese, 1/4C Chicken
D - 5 SF Twizzlers

Breakfast - Apple and string cheese
L - 2% Cottage Cheese, NSA Fudge Pop
D - Turkey Chili, Broccoli
D - Another NSA Fudge Pop

Joined the Feb fitness challenge...will be a good kick in the pants!

Funny, the things that get you motivated. I have been having so much trouble for the past couple of weeks. But last night I had a girls night out and out on a pair of pants that I thought would be tight. They were not tight at all and that made me realize that not all was lost. I also started thinking about how I physically feel when I eat well and that was enough. Today I got right back on track without a struggle. Looking forward to breaking through the 220's and beyond....

Grrr..I keep slipping up and starting again for the past several weeks. I quickly realized how easily I gained weight back and jumped back on track, but am frustrated with myself. When I do this, I loose weeks at a time backtracking.

S - Veggies w/ 1 TSP ranch dressing and 1 TSP Olive Oil, 2 pieces drk choc
