No, I'm not sure this is home for me, but it's a place to stay in touch with some of the people I care about.

I was very happy when the other board formed to be away from the strict SBD rigidity. I'm much more flexible than a total SBD purist...and that's when I'm doing well with my eating. And I absolute don't believe in Phase 1 for many reasons. So, I'll try to hang out in journals and stay away from the SBD discussions.

Hi Fab, great to have you here. I'm like you where I don't do a strict SB lifestyle, so I'm almost afraid to post menus in my journal over here... the folks here are serious SBers.

But feel free to come post in mine and I look forward to seeing how your progress is coming. I know you've been stuck for a while, like me, so I can totally relate.

Got under 200, close to 189, now back around 200 and can't seem to get and stay away from it, and I feel like it's because I've tried TOO MANY things.

Happy sunday.

Hi Fab,

I would like to be a new friend. I can totally relate to all your struggles, and also to not being a dogmatic SB or other program follower. I have been doing my own version of SB, largely compliant but by no means totally, and same as you, if I post a menu, it's only to remind myself what I am doing, not bec of looking for SB feedback. I have a group of very nice people that I befriended here, and they are my support and life line, and there to cheer me on in the hard moments, and to celebrate the happy ones. I also wanted to tell you, having read about your Israel trip back 3 years ago that I lived there for 8 very formative years as a teenager and my mother is there and many friends, so I hope your trip was wonderful and that you have/will have gone back there some day.

I can tell you that same as you, I have restarted my wt loss effort recently, and the most helpful hint I got, which is perhaps what I needed was, "one day at a time". I always look WAY ahead and get discouraged. So, for now, I had two good days, one at a time, and hoping to make this the third one, and so on. And yes, I am also "51 and beyond", and hope to be fabulous for a long time.

So please come by to visit anytime, my jrnl is "jh on sb", and I promise you, you won't be reading about menus there (although maybe it would be better to do that).

Looking forward to connecting with you-

Judi

Judi,

Thanks for your visit. Busy day today. Will try to visit you soon.

Still finding this whole board thing tough. I really appreciate the visits from everyone who's come back over.

Take your time, Fab, and btw, love your motto. How true.

For a laugh: Prayer for 2011:

Dear God,
All I ask for in 2011 is a big, fat bank account and a slim body.
Please don't mix these up like you did last year.
Amen.

;-)

home for the a.m. I usually volunteer tutor at a GED program in the city on Tues. mornings, but once again the snow is making the drive so slow it doesn't make sense. Spent about 20 minutes on the road, went nowhere, came home.

Gonna work on synagogue emails a bit, taxes some, and then figure out what's next.

I love seeing everyone too. SO glad to see you--you've always held a special place in my heart. You are truly a wonderful person.

I agree with Judi: post food if you want, it's your spot. (or don't)

Hugs,

Anne
