Hi Anne!

Yep...I've been beachy lately, but not perfect. I do miss everyone's support.

Hi Amanda!

Sorry I haven't visited for awhile! Life is happening to me right now.

Anyway, I agree with Anne....come on over & join the challenge in Yello's journal! I don't always get a pbd, but I'm more likely to stay on the path to the beach when I'm accountable!

See ya over there!

Hi Robin!

Thanks for writing. I was looking for your journal last night but must have been distracted. I want to catch up!

Things haven't been all that exciting lately....I worked about 70 or 80 weeks a month for most of July. It was not fun, but I have some extra money in the bank!

I also went to Milwaukee for a business trip around the end of July. It was a great trip. I enjoyed the city...I will have to post some pictures sometimes soon. I can't say I was beachy there, but I had some great beer!

I spent last week cleaning. My grandma is visiting, as I think I said yesterday. She sold her house a few years ago (I don't want to go into the bad financial decisions she's made)...and hops between family members. It's usually my aunt's house or my parents'...but she wanted to see me. She is kind of boring and fine to stick around the house. It's been a little stressful and boring this week...but I am trying to stay positive and be nice. Isn't it terrible that my grandma drives me nuts??? She's such a werido.

Now I sound weird! I did make my big deadline at work, so I should have more time to type.

I can't say this has been a fun summer...but I manage to enjoy myself!

WOW...no wonder you are tired.  You put in over a year's work in one month. Your boss must love you.

That's the trouble with working long hours, you make the cash but don't have time to spend it. I don't have that problem here though. I work the extra hours and DW and DD get new stuff.

What is wrong with this picture???

Ha ha! Thanks for pointing that out. That would totally explain why I'm tired.

Okay...I did mean...70 or 80 hours a week!

Yeah, this whole summer has been the story or having time or having money, but not both!!!!

I'm sure the ladies in your life are happy to spend your money!

Hi Anne!

Yep...you're so right....

Grandma is planning on leaving on Aug. 24...My cousin will drive up and pick her up. I sure hope that happens. I love my grandma...but I'm not used to having anyone around. It's weird!

Hello! I am here and have been doing okay! My grandma's is still visiting. It's been quality time...and I'm glad I was able to help out the family, but...

I need my life back! I am not equipped for house guests, especially those who stay so long. My grandma always complains about people sucking away her energy, when, it is her, in fact, who does the sucking. I'm so worn out right now and I've been eating terrible. Plus work is stressful right now. Two week a quarter, there's a bunch of extra work when production works on some magazines. They need lots of editorial input. Well, this is the week...and ALL of the other department members are gone this week. It's just me holding down the fort.

So, my grandma is scheduled to leave Thursday. As of 8 a.m. on Saturday, I'm going to start hitting the beach again. That means no fast food, no junky snacks, and regular meals. It's time for some whole grains, lean proteins, and vegetables! (and low-fat dairy too). I will hit the pool at least three times a week and work my way up to five.

Awww...so see why I haven't written much lately? I miss y'all!!!!
