Its been my experience that when you actually HAVE a life, that you continuously find yourself in places where people just want to feed people! ;)

Doing great, Jess. Keep it up!

Sounds like the P1 flu. Sorry. Make sure you are drinking milk or getting real dairy yogurt (bethy had to correct my carbmaster yogurt habit too - apparently some low carb yogurt lacks the lactose needed to meet your dairy requirement.) And try to add some beans to your intake if you continue to feel crappy - they have carbs and protein. No more than 1/2 a cup twice a day if you go there.

I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestions Mike. I'm paying attention, notice I had a veggie with every meal? And I actually kind of enjoyed the v8 juice this morning!

Thanks for the encouragement guys. My WI day is tomorrow, we'll see how much progress week one I've made despite the wednesday slip up. :)

Jess, You R Crashin. I looked back over your food and you're not getting dairy or beans. The walk for the cure finished off the last of your glucose. Insert PB PO PDQ and drink some milk even if you have to hold your nose. You need good P1 carbs and you need them now. No arguing. This is the blood sugar police speaking.

Woohoo! Down 3 lbs!!! Doing the weight loss dance! :)

b-mock french toast with sf syrup, v8 juice
l- half low carb yogurt, broccoli casserole, 1 cup skim milk (see that bethy?)
s-diet coke at the movies
d-Kalyn's taco soup, added leftover fresh spinach, topped with spoonful of light sour cream, light shredded cheese, 1/4 avocado
s-slice nuclear cheesecake and fudgesicle delight.

so I made the nuclear cheesecake- yum. Probably shouldn't have had both for a snack, but I did. Needed to drink more fluids today.

Still excited about my loss though! :D

I see it Jess! I see milk, beans, good fats, veggies, K's taco soup! Blue Ribbon Day :D
I have a hard time getting all my water in. Unless I go into a mall or a grocery store. Something in the air in buildings like that makes me immediately Thirsty. I kind of think malls and supersized stores were responsible for the whole bottled water revolution.

So I'm up .4 from my Sunday WI. I'm guessing it's the two evening snacks I've been indulging in. I'll cut both out and see if I start going down again instead of creeping up. Thoughts from the veterans?

More veggies and beans is always a good start. Also, rethink whether you really need all that protein on your salad - steak, eggs, AND cheese might be a bit much. And cheese, even lf, is very caloric. SB has limited cheese to 2 servings a day, which makes me sad, but it makes sense.

b-light cottage cheese, broccoli casserole, v8
s-1/2 slice nuclear cheesecake
l-steak salad with egg, avocado, salsa
d- went to steaknshake with kids and friends and I think was good- cheese steak burger with 2 slices bacon, fried egg on top, lettuce, tomato, NO BUN, side salad with ranch, NO FRIES.

fluids: eh, maybe 48oz

I knew I didn't want to give in to the temptation tonight because tomorrow night I'm going to a drug rep dinner at The Melting Pot- a yummy fondue place, for free, ON my birthday...
