I can tell that we are nearing the end of the week - you guys are hysterical

No news on Australia visa. Getting ready to send her a care package: 5"x8"x3/4" for only $18. Saltwater taffy, makeup, pretty hair things, sand dollar earrings 8) She needs cheering up. She's off flying somewhere next week teaching dance, making a grand, and getting free hotel/housing somewhere called Exmouth.

DS's car is fixed - new everything, cleaned out majority of his savings. But at least he had savings to clean out instead of us having to bail him out so he can get to work. My car is making funny noises now, not good since I need reliable transportation. Will investigate.

Good news - smokehouse almonds were back in stock 2 1-lb. packages for $10. Score!! But I'm out of snack baggies - need to get some more in Target tomorrow or portion control is out the window.

Aw. Sand dollar earrings :D I need to send KAT a box too. It's been a while. Postage up and down the country is fine but sideways in Spensive. Australia sounds like a good deal. She'll come home saying G'day and calling SUVs utes. 8)

The girl is definitely talking funny, words like "keen" and words ending in "aroo". I need to be very beachy because once she's home we'll be eating all of her favorite comfort foods. Sigh...the excuses never end, do they?

Keen! ( have some of their sandals, am mighty keen on them too) (F'n keen, as Ky would say  )
Plan: STAY HOME, cook and clean and stop playing Lemmings and Catan.
Rogan Josh sounds good, like lamb tikka masala to me. find that old Groban Josh CD and see if HE still sounds good.
(the best song was in Italian so IDK what it was called but it *should* have been called O Weepio Mia)
And, btw, someone who knows something about opera: is the whole point of Opera to make people cry or do I have a musically induced mental problem? I've only been to one opera and I want to know why you have to wear makeup if crying buckets is the intended effect. (I've had this on my mind b/c baby daddy is a big opera fan and he'd been taking PR to a lot of them right before the blessed accident occurred. She's a lot like me and I think the opera might have given her spontaneous ovulation as well as making her, you know, dress fall off.)

Yep, I know about my spam post - I reported it. I report a lot of them, cause I'm the one usually online at 5:30am and get to see them before anyone else!

Yes, I think opera is supposed to make you cry. They're all gut wrenching tragedies with emotional music. Maybe they should hand out birth control with the programs.

Dammit - I knew I was defective! Opera doesn't make me cry! There are some commercials though, that choke me up... so maybe I am not totally hopeless!

They also don't make my clothes off. I heard a song called Tequila makes her clothes fall off.

That's good to know, Chris. I didn't see anybody else with red eyes on the way out so I had some concerns. Maybe the season ticket holders are just all cried out.

I think we are going to do ham and eggs for dinner tonight with a big spinach salad or something. And if the weather holds off (calling for rain) we will try to get out and walk someplace OTHER than the grocery stores and Costco -- that was not helpful last night.....

My head's been in Newport News all weekend, rereading Lie Down in Darkness. Seems like I ought to be able to run up to your house for dessert.
Got a huge pile of spinach to spin waiting in the kitchen. Wish I had some ham, mmm.
WHY are you making me so hungry?? QUIT!
goal: go to the pool. don't buy almonds.
b-spinach thing and extra coffee
L-half a chicken breast, mayo, wasa cracker, PB
after pool-ice dream
S-bowl of taco soup, fage
two chocolate squares
:!: starving at midnight. made a large spinach salad w/ onions, gorgonzola, oil and vinegar.

very good pool day. vertigone. 55 minutes.

There's still plenty of dessert to be had, so come at your own risk. I think we're going to throw the rest of the Black Beast into the freezer and bring it out in controlled doses. I am worried that if we leave it out it may fall into the wrong hands and endanger the free world. Not to mention my waistline.
