My parents ate all kinds of parts I'd rather not think about. Most looked pretty scary and smelled worse. Luckily they thought these things were delicacies and never tried to get us to eat them, gave us normal food, and didn't usually eat them in front of us (Dad worked nights, ate dinner at noon when we were in school). Creepy icky stuff. But then I did grow up eating raw clams and pickled herring from about the time I was 3. Somehow if it swims, I think it's clean and OK to eat. Much better to eat octopus than chicken toes.

Up until I remembered the ice dream, I was pretty proud of myself today.

Oh yes... ice cream! ANOTHER temptation of summer! What is "ST" for breakfast?

I used to eat pickled herring as a kid! I also tried squirrel and rabbit and frog's legs and snake. I had an open mind back then! I've also heard that I eat 8 spiders a year in my sleep, but I highly doubt that. Even in an unconscious state I would be screaming bloody murder. I know me and bugs!

I had a mysterious red spot over my lip last week. Maybe it was a spider ringing the doorbell.
I put some eggs out on the counter to warm up, gonna try to fake-out my Lark Burger craving with some parmesan truffle scrambled eggs.
b-ST
late breakfast-scrambled eggs
late lunch-salad, half a hb patty, blue cheese, onions, lemon juice, olive oil
s-almonds, one serving. because one serving is all there was left.
and then the sunday munching kicked in
I had 4, FOUR, chocolate squares. not the beachy kind, the Raspberry Filled kind. very conducive to having another one and another one. H bought them. to him all chocolate squares look alike. H is colorblind, so I guess the vivid pink bag red flag was wasted on him.
a wasa w/ the max load of PB a wasa can hold on it
another salad like the lunch one
a cold salmon pattie

Spinach thingy, lol.

A spider ringing the doorbell? ROFL!! Your journal is a hoot.

If I have a red spot on my face, it's gotta be a zit. You would think those things would go away when you get out of the teen years - HA! I will be 90 years old and on my death bed and I will have freaking zits on my face!

BUT - I would rather it be a zit than some spider hanging around my face in the middle of the night!

Speaking of which - do you folks have crickets creeping inside? I can't STAND that... they rub their little thighs together making that noise until I want to rip my hair out - and when I turn on the light and try to find them - they hide!! We found one the other day.... he was this weird white albino freak cricket who escaped from the circus....

No crickets here, lots of spiders and bats, though. Bats get into our old house occasionally and settle in the attic but get downstairs - try being up at 3am and letting the bat out!! Now they're telling us they can be rabid, so to catch them and bring them in for surgery. Done that a few times - DH catches 'em, not me. Pretty interesting little guys, but scary as sh*t when they dive bomb your head while they're trying to find the open door. They're dying off this year from some disease, haven't seen any. So we're expecting more mosquitoes and other flying pests. Trying to let the spiders get them instead - good excuse not to vacuum.

LOL, radical surgery indeed!
All I have at the moment is the occasional spider and very friendly large ants.
Just realized I haven't had mosquito bites in ages.
And that when I *was* covered in mosquito bites I *wasn't* covered in adipose tissue. hm.
I might have a fat gene that is inactivated by mosquito bites.
Like the gene that makes people with sickle cell anemia resistant to malaria.

Some fool email led me to finding out about these.
http://www.godiva.com/product/dark-chocolate-maltballs/id/2607.gdv?SE_Section=Shop&SE_Category=81&lastCat=81
They couldn't be as good as Maltesers. Could they??
b-spinach thingie (my ST's, not to be confused with Ky's STTS), extra coffee b/c it's time to start psyching myself up for the pool.
L-hb and lettuce on a half slice of rye
s-pool got postponed so I had a hearty late snack of wasa and PB for fuel
then I only did half my workout :( got all dizzy and nauseated after 1/2 lap. the water was all glittery and moving Way too much. Fortunately did not throw up or drown. PT said sinus probs can do that.
So, after that was over enough to drive I had an ice dream (for comfort) and a whole bag, like 5oz, of sweet potato chips with rooster sauce (medicinal), to unblock whatever was clogged) and a claritin and 4 advil.

Hey - everyone has to collect something! I've watched that show "Hoarders" and "Buried Alive" and I can sit there with a smug smile on my face knowing that MY collection doesn't clutter up the house!

Oh wait - that would be STD's, huh. Not STTS. What is STTS?

Some tangy truffle s**t?

Stuffed Tacos taste stupendous?

Stomp that terrible scale?

There is not enough coffee or wine in the universe to help me understand the previous post. I need to go to bed.

That TSST or STTS or whatever it was was about how Ky can sit on the toilet without anything touching her thighs from above. stomach thigh toilet situation or stomach thigh separation triumph or stomach touching thigh stoppage. IDK exactly, but her stomach is no longer sitting in her lap on the toilet 8)
In my case, ST works for both "spinach thing" "still touching".
(not sure about the invisible collection part, sounds like the ex might have some splainin to do  )

Bethy, stop editing posts with your updates - I keep missing things, like your pool queasiness episode. Maybe your horsey noodle was out of control and gave you motion sickness  Yep, sinus stuff can make you woozy, specially if it's an infection.

OK, now I'm remembering the whole STTS, TTST, whatever episode!!

So what exactly is an ice dream, Bethy? I've actually never been to a Chick-fil-A, just saw the menu once at the Atlanta airport and ran like hell!

4 Advil - are you conscious?

Wh...I have to edit the posts. The only semblance of order I have in my life is having all the food I eat in one day in the same rectangle.
An ice dream is just soft-serve vanilla ice cream. It's way better than dairy queen though, at least to me. More vanilla tasting and less...milky.
My ortho told me to take advil 4 at a time- I was kind of  too.

DON'T FORGET TO TAKE A CLARITIN TONIGHT (def something doing some draining last night, major sore throat this morning)

Plan: I think Mikey's plan (eat whatever I want today) sounds like a winner and he Does know things about procedure.
Also-make spinach things and marinate chicken and do everything I can think of that might improve the sinus situation. I don't want the pool to ever do like that again, it was plumb scary.

More embarassing than riding a noodle anecdote: Before the weirdness in the big pool happened, I spent some time in the deep pool. It's 7 feet deep, and about 30 X 12 feet wide and long with "overflow" drains all the way around 3 sides. I was sitting on the steps, taking off my "equipment" when a very very large man got in and displaced so much water it overflowed the overflow drains. Huge sheet of water started heading for the carpet in the "land therapy" room. The PT's went running and turned on some giant pump that stopped it in time. I will never forget his eyes when he saw the sheet of water moving toward the door. I said "this happens all the time" and I hope he believed that flat-out lie. I wanted to say something more, something friendly, but was too....me. I should have. I will, if he comes back. I just hope he comes back. I keep thinking about how wonderful it would feel to be in the deep water and feel free and weightless if you were weighed down with a body as heavy as his.

b-ST
L-big "baby spinach mix" (not a fan) salad w/ gorgonzola and half a hb pattie. deconstructed vinaigrette.
S-grilled chicken breast (with some of that ranch/taco dip-just a little. it's good on everything and the men love it, gotta think about beachifying it), about 2 cups of roasted broccoli, 10 sweet potato fries (w/ rooster sauce/creme fraiche-yum)
bedtime-two chocolate squares

It's that time of year when ALL the fresh spinach is "baby". I want a grown-up spinach salad.
Still feel kind of funny in the head. If I can't do laps again tomorrow I might ditch Claritin and go for the "behind the counter" sinus stuff.
