Thanks, Chris, on the banana info - good to know and a nice change from my apples. also for your well wishes
Play-doh, I found an easy recipe on the forum, I think. It's:
1 can kidney beans, drained (16 oz)
1 can northern beans, drained (16 oz)
1 can diced tomatoes (16 oz)
1 can tomato sauce (8 oz); you can use 2 cans if you like more sauce
browned, ground turkey; sometimes I dump in the turkey juices (97% ff, so not too bad, hopefully)
chili powder (to taste); for me, about 1t
cumin (to taste); for me, about 1/2 t
Sometimes I add Worcestershire sauce (4 shakes). I bring it to a boil and then simmer 30 minutes. I don't like too much chili powder and cumin; my chili tastes run mild without a lot of added ingredients. The taste blends and mellows after being in the frig a while. I eat chili so often - what a help having it ready

I am thinking of adding more veggies and trying different beans.
today
