Hey sweet thang! Happy belated anniversary! I wish I was a better friend and kept up with journals more frequently. Sigh.......still love me anyway? :?:

I finally made the humungous step of signing up for a few sessions of a personal trainer at a nearby (to my office) fitness center (NOT a gym), and will get into small group classes after that. It's a start....

Hope you're managing to stay cool in this oppressive heat. What a doozy! I'm trying hard not to complain because winter - as we both know too well - will be here before we know it AND with a vengeance. I'll just whimper a little and drink lots of water!

love you!!!

so, by no wine, does that mean you're not making any either? :( Not sure if DH is making any next spring or not. We were thinking about making some wine and beer for DD1's wedding. He hasn't made any in years, so what better reason to clean up the equipment and starting brewing?

Enjoy these last few glorious weeks of summer. It goes away too fast at our latitude......

I completely agree about counting the calories. It's working for me. I keep it around 1600-1700 per day. I know once I get more weight off I'll have to lower that, but for now it's working great. As for SB, well, kinda sorta, but not really. I don't ban white flour - I don't eat much of it when I do. I do try to keep my foods low on the GI scale (except for the occasional ear of fresh corn or some pineapple in my cottage cheese). And I splurge with a cookie (a REAL cookie) after dinner every night. Keeps the cravings at bay. Yay!
