Onken do a fat free yohurt, i've looked at loads of greek, most just don't seem to fit in SB. Are waffles ok in p1?

In regards to the waffles,http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12283 . 6th post down written by Redrabbit says it is for phase 1.

The ricotta that I brought is not low fat. I just read an post that it isn't available in the UK. Cottage cheese has been suggested as an alternative. http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=32046

It's worth checking the ingredients before having waffles. I spent ages looking for breakfasts, i'm sticking to omletts and sometimes oats, I can't find anything else that hasn't got added sugar.

I've found Waitrose are the best for special SB foods (they are expensive).

Home made waffles using the recipe linked. SB friendly

Hello Neal, seems things are going pretty well so far. Meat sauce for dinner? You're almost as bad as me with just drinking a protein shake a lot of nights for dinner! Keep strong, it can be a long journey with a frustrating snag here and there but its worth it in the end.

Thanks, yeh. What else do you have with it other than pasta/rice? Plus I had chilli earlier in the day.

I hope it is worth it. It is hard when everyone else is eating what I now call junk food.

Hi, Neal. You're doing Great! I eat spaghetti sauce with a spoon too. I've been intending to try Spaghetti Squash with it for a long long time but I never think of it until after I've made the sauce.

Week 2 and Phase 1 Overview.

Weigh about 100kg, Lost 5 kg in 2 weeks. Works out to be 11 lbs.

Was not too bad. If I had to do it again It will be much better as I have been learning as I go along.

Looking forward to Phase 2.

Day 15 First Day of Phase 2

Breakfast
Fried eggs, Bacon, Mushrooms and tomatoes. I cant see why bacon is in the disallowed list. The bacon I get is from a butcher and hardly has any fat on it.

Snack
15 Almonds

Lunch
Curry. I think something in this is triggering cravings. It is the weekend so not my normal routine. I have it for next weeks lunch for work. Will see how I get on with it to see if it is a boredom factor.

Snack
Baby Bell

Dinner
More Curry, some left over and couldn't be bothered to make anything else

Snack/Dessert
Smoothie, 2 Cups of milk. 1/2 cup ricotta. 1/2 cup of frozen berries. Not too bad, was hoping it was going to be better. Not used to drinking milk based drinks. Hopefully it will grow on me. Suppose I cannot afford not to have diary.
