speaking of smoothies, I blend up spinach with water first, then add the frozen berries, yogurt, milk. I know people put almond or peanut butter in there for protein. I haven't done that. I just eat protein with the smoothie.

Jeff - glad you're doing so well. I remember when you first got here and how amazingly motivated you were those first 6 months. I was amazed by you and your huge success. You look amazing now and I know you'll be successful because you have such excellent discipline. I'm so glad there's new people here too to motivate us 'oldtimers' but I'm also so happy you're still here.

Everything has been 100% Beachy, i seem to have my same steely determination that i had when i started the beach the first time. Making sure to stick to the diet 110%, and have been in the weight room and cardio both, getting pretty intense workouts. Hope to keep this determination all the way to the finish line.

Bethy if you are only looking for a little extra protein for one meal, the 50$ jug i use would probably last you....shoot....5 months? Maybe 6 depending on how much you use?

Mike, i suppose im lucky in the fact that not a single tasty place to eat is around my work.

Lisa, its really been a fun journey so far and will continue to be a great time! I hope your right about being successful and i can only believe that myself and continue to push forward. All the new people are indeed very refreshing i couldnt agree more.

I work in the heart of downtown, and there are probably 50 (30? 100? Depends on how far you walk.) places to eat in easy walking distance. Fortunately I never get a full lunch time any more. Mostly it is sitting at the computer reading for a few minutes eating leftovers. A lot cheaper!

Well Well...this weeks round of finals are over with, and I received A's in all of my classes so now i can relax for a full week before starting the next round of classes. Had a weird event occur last night. As everyone knows ive moved into a new house recently,I came home from the finals and while i was vegging out on the couch someone started screaming and banging on the door saying things like "i know you're in there you cant hide forever" blah blah so i look through the peephole and its a woman ive never seen before in my life. Open the door and she starts raising hell asking for john and telling him to come out. I told her I had just bought the house and i had no idea who she was even talking about. She didnt believe me and i had to argue with her. Only way she believed me was we walked over to the mailbox and i pulled out the mail, very calmly was like "Who is this addressed to?" after a few minutes she stormed off and drove away. Sooo...yeah, nice and relaxing night filled with good entertainment -Cough-

The last few days in the gym have been extremely productive, i suppose with all the stress its pushed my weightlifting days really well. I was doing incline bench presses of 345 pounds, and using the 120 pound dumbbells on the flat bench. Im sure thats foreign to some, but all in all I felt insanely good during my workouts, did cardio for 45-60 minutes on the elliptical every single day as well. Food has been 100% healthy and beachy minus a peppermint i had because my breath stunk (just being honest) I dont see it killing me.

Food Today:
B: Jimmy Deans Whole wheat bagel with egg white/turkey sausage/low fat cheese (they are pretty good, just microwave 3 minutes and done, low calorie and nothing we cannot have.
S: Fuji Apple, V8 Juice
L: Pecan Crusted Chicken W/ Spicy Jalapeno Cream sauce (Delicious) and asparagus
S: Chobani Greek Yogurt
D: T-Bone Steak and boiled sweet potatoe IF i setup the grill tonight, if not then a protein shake w/skim milk
S: Possibly SF Fudgesicle

Exercise:
45-60 minutes weightlifting, focused on the shoulders
45-60 minutes elliptical

Have a great weekend everyone, i never really touch a computer during the weekend since im on it all week at work!

(that was Kyan, she calls her scale "john" because of how she has it situated so she can stand right up and see how much she lost)
Set up that grill and celebrate those A's!
Throw on a bunch of those hotdogs too, your neighborhood sounds Friendly 8)
I exercised with beans! I pressed and curled 10 cans of Goya I got on special, 10 reps each, no frijoles/no gain!
OMG, picture day ought to be right up there with second-hand smoke, skipping is the Only sane thing to do.

Ohhhh for some reason i thought john = toilet = scale = crap chute....Glad you clarified. The neighborhood actually is friendly, and i like all my neighbors. Since my truck does not fit in the garage ive been considering setting up a gym in the garage, nothing fancy, but like a bench, a rack of dumbbells and an elliptical. Though im really not a fan of the pricetag it comes with and doubt id use it too much in the summer since the garage is not air conditioned and it gets to like 105 and 300% humidity here in florida.

Quick update as its going to be a very busy day, actually it already is. Had a good weekend, ate healthy minus a little popcorn at the movies when i went and saw the avengers. It really was awesome, probably will see it again this week! Umm...besides that the gf has been suffering from really bad depression, been trying my best to cope with it and help at the same time but its testing us. That about covers the weekend, have this week off from school then classes start back up next week.

Breakfast: Whole Wheat Toast, Turkey Sausage, Egg White
S: Fuji Apple

Hey Jeff, Glad you're enjoying your new house... not the visitors though   Sorry to hear about GF's depression. That can certainly be a challenge for sure. I think a gym in your garage is a great idea!! Your very own place to go and escape when needed. Living with someone can be a little claustrophobic at times. I saw Avengers Friday night and it was great! Glad I didn't take my 9 year old though. Think he would have been bored and lost the first hour or so.

Hope you have a great week!

Ugh, Jeff, depression. My whole family's riddled with it, way back to my great-grandfather. Change of Scene is my advice. Get her the hell out of Dodge. Round-the-world ship and train travel is ideal but going Anywhere and going often is the best thing I know for it and my family's tried it ALL, all the way back to shock treatments and ice-water baths. You have to DRAG them, but they will feel better for it. (and, you know, s.e.x., but you will probably have to deploy blindfolds and rope.) Baseball games work for me, so relaxing and easy to concentrate on and all that fresh air and the shadow moving across the field while the light changes over from daytime to dark :D

Hey Jeff,

Only YOU would have some crazy woman trying to break down your door!

Hi fives for the A's. Great workouts. Good SB. SUPERMAN!

Laughed and still laughing about your remark re horses walking and pooping simultaneously. My older patients at times walk and fart like that, we both pretend it never happened and I see what I have to look forward to in my old age. Uggghhh..

Come by. I am trying to get myself back to your kind of motivated state.
