10 yrs ago I lost 100+ on the Atkins diet. Went off and now am at the heavest weight ever 389. Started SB 1 wk ago and so far lost 6 lbs.
Goal is to get down to 220 which I have not seen since 8th grade 45 years ago.

Hi, I'm Julie from Maryland. I started a diet of my own on Dec. 26th but only lost 5 lbs before I started SBD on Feb. 10th. I am on day 15 and will be starting Ph2 tomorrow. I lost a total of 8 lbs on Ph1 so my total weight loss since I started trying to lose weight on Dec. 26th is 13lbs. I am so glad I started the SB way of life. I find it very easy to follow and never feel hungry. I did struggle the first couple of days on Ph1 with nausea but after reading some tips on this board I added in more milk and beans. It did the trick. I found I had more energy and didn't feel sick anymore. I am going to start adding back fruit and grains VERY carefully. I've been reading these boards for 2 weeks now and am going to take everyone's advise and just start with a serving of fruit as an afternoon snack with a bit of nuts or cheese. Wish me luck as I still need to lose 61 lbs to be my goal weight of 140. I started at 214 and am now 201. I'm 5'6" and will feel so much better once I get another 10 lbs off. We are going to Myrtle Beach in early June and hope to be down to at least 179 by then. I believe 22 lbs should be doable in 15 weeks.

I am from O-H-I-O. The city of Toledo has started the Million Pound Challenge for 2009. The are trying to slim down the city. Good for them! I hope they start with the children, it makes me sad to see how big and unhealthy a lot of kids are.

Been a while since anyone's posted on this topic; thought I'd add my location. Living north of Houston, TX but lived 43+ yrs in the beautiful foothills of the Appalachian mountains, southern Ohio Hoping to find new friends from the tristate area of back home, southern Ohio, northern Kentucky or West Virginia.
