Oh it's funny tonight. They're going to face off against each other in pairs. Tracy chose Abby to go against and Abby said "Tracy, well she's just crazy"... too funny! I hope Abby knocks her out! Tracy keeps going on about how she just loves working out. Urghhhh yuck!

Oh boy... I'm bawling my eyes out. Abby just told her story again about losing her two kids and husband. They showed all kinds of photos of them. I can't stop crying. It's soooo terrible. How do you ever move on after something like that?

I, too, bawled through the BL tonight. I lost my son 11 years ago at the age of 21, a victim of a homicide. But I can't imagine how Abby has dealt with losing her whole family at one time. Just can't imagine. But wasn't the follow up amazing, to listen to her speak to groups about moving on??? What an inspiration, whether it's to deal with weight issues, or any other kind of situations that come up in life. I personally have relied on my faith in God through salvation found in His Son, Jesus Christ. It doesn't mean that bad things can't happen--but it does mean that I have One who is there with me through everything.

I'm not sure if I agree with their vote tonight. I know Abby said to send her home, but I almost think it was time for Daniel to go. I like him, but like Danny said, he's on his second time around and other people are on their first chance. But then you see how well Abby is doing and have to wonder if maybe she was right.

Abby is doing great at home! She looks grogeous! She wouldn't have been asked to be sent home if she wasn't ready. While I hate the fact that she went, and Daniel didn't, I'm so, so happy for her. I can't imagine what she's lived through, but I think it gave her the strength she needed to be happy again. She used those emotions and turned them into a life changing, positive thing. Good for her! She looks amazing! I think she's had the best results of them all on this season.

Now, Tracy. I don't understand. I stopped watching the first hour of the show. I just tune in for the last 20 minutes or so to see the vote off... all because of Tracy. She makes me blood boil. I don't know how she slips under the radar... or why she's still there. People don't even want to clap when she gets on the scale. I wonder what it's like to be the most hated person in the room, by your teammates and your trainers. I'm tired of her trash talking to the camera in her little one on one interviews. She seems to have this ego that came out of nowhere... and quite frankly, it's ruining the show for me. I don't even enjoy watching it anymore.

Daniel... better go home next show, if Tracy doesn't. He's had 2 shots at this. No one else should go home yet. Rarely are people given a 2nd chance like he has, and I just feel that it's time for him to move on, and let other people use this opportunity. He has the knowledge he needs to continue success at home. If he doesn't... well, then there's a problem with him, not the program.

And I want to say, Rudy? the fact he's lost 100 lbs in 7 weeks... how completely unreasonable! This also grinds my gears. These are the kinds of things that make me angry over this show. They are setting people up for failure. People at home start to think that losing 10-12 lbs a week is healthy and can be done. I don't care how big you are... that's just insane! It's a good thing they are monitored by a doctor the whole time, otherwise there could be some serious health risks that comes with losing weight that much weight that fast.

End rant

Just watched the tape from last night. I really thought Amanda might be going home, or Daniel. I was shocked it was Abby. Yeah, I was bawling my eyes out like you guys. How very sad what she's been through. It hurts every day and it never goes away.

To me it's just striking the difference between Abby and Tracy. Abby is such a class act. Tracy doesn't have a clue. And then Abby and Shay sitting there together at the voting table. Shay with no mother and Abby, the mother that lost her family. It seems like one of those divine appointments. It does seem like she was ready to go and wanted to go. I'm so happy for her that she did so well when she got home and how's she's going on to help other people. Tracy take a lesson would ya!!!

I agree it's getting harder to watch. I may have to start fast forwarding too. I'm hoping the previews of next week aren't just a tease...and that Tracy's choices really do come back to get her. And poor Daniel. The kid's already lost a ton of weight. How long could he keep up that pace. Yet they keep expecting him to get those big numbers. Very unrealistic show. I'd like to hear about the people that go home and gain weight. I'll bet there are a few. I have mixed feelings about the show. On the one hand I feel encouraged by their successes. On the other hand, like I said, that never happens in real life and theyre doing more harm than good giving people false expectations.

Dene, I'm very sorry for your loss. You and I are members of the same club. My son was 29, also a homicide.
It's all good!

groovin,
I'm sorry about your son. How long ago? As caring as some people are, unless they've been through it, they just don't know, do they? Hugs, Dene

It will be 10 years in February. And actually I misspoke...he was 30 (sorry honey!). He would have been 40 this past September. No, they really don't know. But that's ok, I wouldn't expect them to.

Even though I've had problems with weight all my life, after he died it became much more difficult to manage, as you can imagine. Hence the climb into the 200's! I'm so glad to be here on this board. And so glad to have met you!

Take care and Hugs back!

Groovin,
Sometimes it seems like so long ago, other times it's very fresh. It's funny which things will bring it all back, but I choose to not dwell on the bad and focus on the good. Everyone grieves differently and I talk about my son often, which helps me. As I said in an earlier post, my faith in God has been my strength, and our Sunday school class was our "support" group. They've been there for us.

I, too, am a stress eater, so I know where you're coming from. I'm glad you're feeling the love on the boards here. :) I did well on SB a few years ago, then let life get in the way and now I'm trying to fix the damage.

Let's keep on keeping on!

I have to admit Abby was my favorite on the show so it will be difficult to stay focused on the show without seeing her bubbly personality or smile. She has done so wonderful at home and anyone can clearly see she has found a new confidence and will have a meaningful life despite all she has been through. I sure hope she comes back and wins it in the end!

Has anyone else noticed all the advertisements in the back of the weekly magazines and on TV with Jillian Michaels promoting her new "EXTREME Maximum Strength Fat Burner"? Apparently its one of 4 of her supplements being promoted aggressively at GNC stores. She has a "Triple Process Body Detox & Cleanse plus Probiotic Replenishment", a "calorie control" product, and a 2-bottle "quick start" program. Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the premise of this show to promote proper diet and exercise for healthy weight loss??? How can she in good conscious be hawking diet pills, cleanses & detox potions. She's always rubbed me a bit the wrong way but now I am for Team BOB 150%.

Can't wait to see what happens in the next episode. I'm ready to see both crazy Tracy and Daniel have a go at it, at home.

Amen to that Dene!

Jamie, You're right about Jillian. In many ways she's an example of what's wrong with the fitness industry. I often wonder how I would react if she was my trainer and pushed me like she does them. But then I remind myself, this is tv, i.e. not real.

I'm so ready for Tracy to get busted. Liz and Rebecca are getting on my nerves too.

Jamie, I completely agree. I've seen all her ads and thought the same thing... that this goes completely against the premise of the Biggest Loser show. I just read too that Jillian has been given her own TV show, so not sure if that means she'll be leaving the Biggest Loser, or doing both. I like her and I like her attitude, but I don't agree with her pushing pills and detox.

Glad to see I'm not the only one a little perplexed with Jillian's motives. I just wanted to pop back in here and say that I just got back from getting groceries with hubby and this weeks Life & Style magazine has non other then sweet Abby on the cover showing off her amazing success. She looks AMAZING :D

Cool about Abby on the front of a magazine - I'll have to look for it. I think Tracy is going home tonight... they are really focussing on her a lot so far (40 minutes in) and I noticed the same last week with Abby. We'll have to see. It's good that they went to Washington to discuss obesity with the Senators. Very worthwhile cause.

so it's between Tracey and Liz... yee haw!!! Tracey has 3 votes, Liz has 1 vote... Come on... get her outta there!!!!!! Ah man, a commercial. I hate commercials. Why so many commercials??

Jillian called Tracey out on 'playing the game'... so true! She only lost 3 1bs this week and so did Liz. The others did really well in DC. Did you guys notice the young blonde girl's abs were starting to show through tonight? She lost 7 1bs this week (or something like that). It's amazing how they begin to transform right before our eyes.

Okay, the show is back on. Now it's Rebecca's turn - Yay! Tracey is gone... 4 votes is all that's needed. The early choices she made in the game have come back to haunt her - is what the host said. She's crying but smiling. She seems happy and grateful to have had the BL experience. Lots of people waiting to greet her back at home. Her family seem really sweet and nice. She looks amazing at home, like a totally different person. She's at 85 1bs gone! I think that's double what she lost on the show. Good for her!
