One more somewhat-related snack:

Triscuit Pizza-Snack (Phase 2)

6 Triscuits (one serving)
part-skim string cheese stick (I used a whole 1-ounce stick the first time, but it was quite cheesey... could probably use half a stick), cut into 6 chunks
6 slices turkey pepperoni (~1/3 serving)

Arrange Triscuits on microwave-safe plate; top each with a chunk of cheese and a slice of pepperoni. Microwave 45-75 seconds until cheese is bubbly.

Could serve with some no-sugar-added tomato sauce (could put a dab of tomato sauce on each cracker before adding cheese & pepperoni, as well).

I made these last night!
So good!
It took us forever to perfect them in my friends microwave and they were just alright.

I cooked them today for my family as a pre dinner app and made them perfect at 2:30 in the micro.

So yummy. Thanks so much for this wonderful tip.

I got mine at Stop and Shop!
It's near the bacon if that's any help. That's hoping most Stop and Shops are alike!

Where are you all finding *turkey* pepperoni? Is it generally in the meat department, or near the pre-packaged cheeses, maybe?

prepackaged in the "pillow pack" near the 'regular' pepperoni.

I can't find it. At my stores, all the pepperonis (and there are a LOT of them to choose from) are all the regular kind. Boo.

Thanks chari! It says that they are available at my local grocery, but they're not. I guess I"ll try a different store :-)

You are welcome Loves...maybe you could ask a store manager why they don't carry them and if they could order them. I live in a village, it's a burb of Cleveland and we have them in the grocery stores. Did you pick the 6 oz pillow packs, on that site?

This is one of my favorite recipes that I've ever gotten from this great message board. I just tried it this afternoon and was AMAZED at how great the chips are! A big thanks to the person who came up with this one!

For those who are having problems finding the turkey pepperoni, check a nearby Super Wal-Mart. They normally carry them.

It really is a great snack. Enjoy!

I like to eat these with some salsa (lots actually). I really love salsa though, and I like the crunch.

They are also good "crunched" up onto a salad in place of bacon bits............

glad I came across this post. I love this snack! I put mine on a cookie sheet, and sprinkled with LF mexi cheese and baked in the oven. I love cheese like this and it helped as these things are rather spicy hot!
