Thanks for the info about yogurt for P1...
where in the food store abouts is the sugarfree syrup to flavor my plain yogurt?
So when I hit P2 I can have flavored lowfat yogurt? If so I can handle that for 2weeks...just hate the taste of the plain yogurt...to tart for these taste buds lol

Just tonight I had my favorite way of having yogurt:

I mix 1 pkt of diet Swiss Miss hot chocolate (25 cal. one) into 1 cup of plain nonfat yogurt. This acts as my base. Then I will sprinkle any tasty flavor of sf jello mix into it. Tonight was raspberry. I will often put a dollop of Cool Whip on top.

I felt like I was having Chocolate Raspberry mousse. :D

Last night I added a tsp of cocoa powder, splenda and a tbsp of nat'l peanut butter. Tasted kinda like a chocolate peanut butter pie. Pretty good. The yogurt balanced the sweetness too, kinda like the cream cheese in cheesecake.

In Phase 1, I would add splenda and vanilla. Sometimes I would freeze it until it was somewhat icy.. very good!

Now in Phase 2, I add sweetener and fruit (usually strawberries or banana).

Probably doesn't make a difference anymore anyway, but you can have the SF syrups in P1. You just count the calories in them against your sweet treat allowance for the day. It sounded like you were thinking you needed to wait until P2 to use them.

Still can't help you with sourcing them!

You can check for sugar free syrups near the coffee... Wal-Mart often has a few flavors. Also check Marshalls or TJMaxx, they usually have some as well. Otherwise, you need to order them online. There are various sites.. just google "Davinci syrup" or "torani syrup."

This website has the Davinci syrups for 3.99. 1/2 what the davinci site has them, but shipping is high for my area. Give it a shot!

if you are mid atlantic east coast and order a lot of syrups at once I can recommend www.cappuccinoconnection.com. syrups are about 8 dollars a bottle but i only pay a flat rate of 6 dollars to ship as many bottles as I want so it's not so bad. we normally get a dozen bottles every 6 weeks...

I am in Alabama, but will check out the site. Thanks. They have some of the small bottles at our local Wal-Mart, but only in a couple of flavors. I think they were $3.22 er bottle. No flavors that I wanted, though.

They have so many flavors, but I guess it comes down to how much I want some. Do not think I would use it enough to buy more than a couple of bottles at a time. (How's the shelf life?) I could buy them at W-M if they had many flavors.

shelf life seems fine... i keep them on a shelf at the top of my basement steps... some for long periods of time... even the open ones (with pumps in my kitchen) last a long time (the flavors we don't use daily)

but we go through at least 2 bottles of caramel and vanilla (one of each) every week!

I use 0% Greek yogurt and I make a simple blueberry sauce to go with it. I cook blueberries with water, add splenda to taste and cook until the blueberries burst and the syrup is dark.

In the last few minutes of cooking, I add a small amount of arrowroot which thickens the sauce almost immediantly. I pour the sauce into a jug, let it cool and keep it in the fridge. It lasts for ages but it also freezes really well. You could freeze it in small portions or in ice cube trays, then defrost it in the microwave for a really quick breakfast.

I also like to add fresh lemon juice sometimes, which adds a lot to the flavour of the sauce.

Sometimes I add a small amount of alcohol (those that are allowed on SB), typically 1 tsp per person.

Other optional additions would be vanilla, sugar free syrups, cinnamon etc.

This is phase 2 friendly, due to the fruit.
